âź starter for @thecalamitykid âź
The empty set. A place Boxer both loved and hated.
The only reason heâs here was due to Red forgetting some of her notes. She was busy, but insisted on coming back for them. Boxer, ever the gentleman though volunteered to grab the necessary papers while she stayed at her flat. He didnât mind though. In fact, the walk here was good for him. At least, thatâs what he convinced himself.
Looking around the place, he made his way to the stage. The echoes of his footsteps trailed behind him as he finally got backstage, and towards the dressing room.Â
He wasnât expecting someone else to be here though, catching himself a little off-guard as he saw a figure standing at the door entrance to the room. He stood there for a second, and watched the person. The cloud white hair is what first caught his attention.
WaitâŚwhite hair? Now why did that seem to ring a bell? That was one of Redâs friends, right? What was his name again? Oh yeah!Â
Walking up behind the teenager, Boxer gently taps him on the shoulder.
âHey, Kid.â He says with hesitation, hoping his assumption of the boyâs name was correct. Boxerâs tall figure loomed over the other. âIf youâre looking for Red, she isnât here.â
The tap on the shoulder makes him fumble his small wrench he was putting away. Heâs to used to people approaching him, let alone touch him. He does manage to catch the wrench before it would cause an echoing clang on the ground upon impact. He places the tool in itâs case before turning around to view the man who spoke out his name.
He was a tall fella that one. Built strong too. Kid does perk up at the mention of Redâs name. âYeah, Unfortunately I quickly found that out when I got here. Itâs okay though. I had maintenance work to do âround here anyhow.â He does a small shrug. Sure he was hopeful he would be there during his shifts at the open set, but her not being there wasnât the end of the world. He wipes his hands on his shirt and offers it to the man for a hand shake. âYâall must be that Boxer fella Red talks so much about. Itâs real nice ta finally meet châya! Iâm Kid, though I guess you already knew that? Unless ya were just calling me a kid like some adults do ta youngins. Either way, it works out for me.â
