The most important thing in life

Ever wondered what is that one thing in life you really need but don't know yet? Every New Year's Eve, every birthday, every time I lie on my bed wide awake I ask myself what is it that I should really expect from my loved ones, my friends, my partner? Love? Yes well that's the reason you're together. Trust? Duh! Goes without saying. Space? Of course I need my own space. Understanding? Hell yeah! It's a two-way thing. Fun? No fun, no me! What is that one thing that'll keep you in love, the one thing that'll help build trust, the thing that allows more space, something that shows you they understand, what adds fun in life? The right to be wrong. Yeah something as simple as that will change everything in your equation with the person. When you know you aren't being judged constantly, when you have the freedom to do things your way, the option of making mistakes because that's how you'll learn and grow, the thrill of it all, the joy, the excitement, the maturity. Everyone makes mistakes. But when the other person gives you a right to do that, it changes everything...for the better. Pick your friends wisely, discuss with your family openly, share the thought with your partner and live life the way YOU want to live. As they say...Live it up, drink it down, laugh it out and...we'll make mistakes! Lots of them. Coz there's nothing else in the whole world that can help you grow more, have more fun or live better.

There's no going back

Yes we all make mistakes You learn from some, you make others again to learn from those too But there are those few mistakes that define who you really are That one wrong decision, that one wrong thought, that one wrong person That one thing you lost out on, that one person you left midway You start living with or without that one element But when life brings it back to you, you realise how wrong you were Yes you do learn from your mistake but there is no going back The time is lost, and it's lost forever You can change the present, not the past and unfortunately that's what's actually going to shape your future When the time was right, when things were in your control, you never listened to your heart or your head You listened to that other person who wanted you to listen to him When life was waiting for you to choose it's course, you made your choice The wrong choice Now you look back and cry over what you could have had, what wrongs could have been the rights You'll still manage to come to terms with it, but deep inside you'll never forgive yourself Your conscience now knows what you've done cannot be undone You've learnt from your mistakes, but there is no second chance Life tricked you All this while they said life gives people a second chance You got none But you know what, that's what you deserve Live with the feeling of hating yourself Live with the feeling of guilt Live with the feeling of regret It's over.

Love to Do

Recently a complete stranger asked me what I do, work wise. I told him all about my job at a Social Media agency. Out of curiosity, he probed further and what came next made me think...and I am still thinking. He asked me if I do what I love. Casually, I said I don't know my passion. I like multiple things but I don't know that one thing I really really want to do. He then asked me if I love what I do. To which I replied of course not! Who loves their job anyway? Though the topic of conversation changed after a good laugh, but it made me wonder why am I doing what I am doing. Yes I have learnt a lot of things, I have met a lot of people, I have given and executed multiple ideas. But I don't love what I do. It's monotonous, it's hectic, it's frustrating. I am always overworked. I don't look forward to going to work. But I have blown up a lot of my dad's money in college and I need to earn. Although work is the one thing that drives me in life. I want to do so many things. I want to be so many people. I put in my 100% when I work. But I don't love what I do. I want to travel. Explore. Discover. Meet all kinds of interesting people. Eat the yummiest food. Buy the loveliest clothes. Experience living in all parts of the world. Open a seasonal cafe in a couple of places. Click pictures of what I see, how I see. Traveling does sound like a happy place. And that is what I'd love to do.

The parallel universe.

There is a parallel universe...where music is the universal religion & the mind is free...exploring, the senses are alive...elated, the feeling of freedom, of happiness, of not belonging anywhere particular yet being part of the surroundings! People call it psychedelia. But it's a way of life in the parallel universe. The colours bring everything to life, even in darkness. The mind is everywhere yet there. People call it a trip coz its a journey, without a destination, but a fun journey, a happy journey in true sense. All the people you've known all your life are happier, are glowing with joy, traveling with you but to different places, knowing exactly where you are. Everything is much clearer. The music that's now playing inside your mind is giving everything meaning. You are feeling more and you're enjoying every bit of it. You want to travel more, yet stay there. You are on top of the world, and at the bottom of the sea. You are inside a circle yet circling around it. You are not just seeing, you're looking. You're not just hearing, you're listening. You are aware of others around you, yet you're in your own world. You define your world, you give it shape, meaning. There is nothing that'll pull you down. You control the universe. You see what you've never seen before. You hear what you've never heard before. You feel what you've never felt before. You love like you've never loved before. You dance as if no one's watching. You dance as if all the world's a stage. And you...the supernatural power. That's life...in my parallel universe.
