"I'm guessing I'm not going to get any donuts today." She had entered the diner at the tail end of...whatever this was, not even having enough time to asses who she should be throwing fire balls at, if anyone. The boy in front of her also looked really familiar. "Are you aware you're bleeding?" she asked, gesturing to the cut on his forehead. "I have a first aide kit in my car." Before she could get an answer one of the men on the floor, who was apparently not dead, came up shooting behind her. Jo shrieked and dodged, flinging a gout of flame at the man.

While he may look familiar to her, the sentiment was not mutual. However, he could appreciate the dark humor surrounding the situation--lamenting a loss of doughnuts, but the fact that this woman WASN'T freaking out over the gruesome aftermath strewn about the place WAS just a little concerning. Then again, people processed trauma differently. Maybe her way of coping was making snarky remarks. He could respect that.

"Well, if you wanted to just take one, I doubt anyone would stop you," he quipped back with a flippant motion of his hand toward the corpses on the floor. Oh? Was he aware that he was bleeding? He didn't take his attention off her for the moment as his free hand lifted to lightly touch the area of his brow that had just a mild sting. But he didn't have time to comment on anything else as one of the bodies wasn't completely dead; at the first sign of movement, he blinked, reappearing behind the guy with the intent to snap his neck just as a wave of fire came at him and, well, that was unexpected! CHANGE OF PLANS! He blinked back, instead reappearing (with the gun) behind the woman who had made frickin' flames appear out of nowhere, now watching the guy scream writhe in agony as the fire enveloped him.

"Well that's a new," he muttered. "You got a flamethrower hidden up your sleeve?"

Five put on his BEST innocent face--something he could probably not pull off if he was his old adult self, but as a kid, maybe it would be more convincing...as long as she ignored the complete and utter disarray the place had been put into. A wreck, actually. Broken windows, bullet holes in the walls, flickering lights just barely hanging from their wires as they swung and sparked from the ceiling. A lot could happen in a short amount of time--like a thirteen-year-old kid taking out a dozen experienced Commission agents in under a minute. Thankfully, no civilians were harmed...well...maybe some pride or souls were damaged because of the destruction left in his wake, but that was neither here nor there.

"To be fair," he started with an eerily calm and dry tone, pointing to a couple of corpses near his feet, "they started it."

"Yeah, actually...yeah, I get it," Five replied, concealing his surprise at seeing Hazel alive, the image of the rogue agent being shot up by the Swedes still burned into his mind. "But you know," he continued, coffee in hand as he leaned against the bar, "in my case, I'm suddenly a kid again. Doesn't quite seem fair, you know? I've practically been handed another 50 years to live. What do you do with that? What would YOU do with that? You've already had a lifetime--and you've had Agnes. Pretty fulfilling, wasn't it? I mean, what would you do if your body was suddenly young again? What's immortality look like to you?"

Hearing a familiar voice he really should NOT be hearing ever again, Five quickly shoved the commandeered missing journal into his back pocket and tightened his fingers around the handle of the fire axe he'd 'borrowed' from the third floor. "I fucking swear your genes were spliced with a goddamned cockroach. How the HELL did you find me?"

She'd smooth out her skirt before spinning in the upholstered nightmare. She swings back and forth facing the counter before she drums her hands on the bar top.  ❝ Knowing you, you're three in? Pour enough to catch me up, yeah? ❞

Look at them, a pair of short blood thirsty assassins just existing in the real world. This truce would go over swimmingly--and he thought that in a totally sarcastic light, too. Oh, were he about forty years younger, he'd probably spin on the stool, too. Though technically he was younger, but that was beside the point. In any case, when she took him up on the offer for a drink he just flicked his hand a bit to get the bartender's attention, motioning to his drink and then signing a 'two' to indicate he'd like two more for the lady...to catch her up, of course. "Heavy pour on the tequila," he insisted before the man wandered off to make them. After all, she did say she wanted to catch up. "Soooooo...Stanley seems like a reeeeeeeeal peach. How'd that work out, y'know, raising him around the Commission and all?" he asked as he tucked the straw between his teeth for a long slurp.

Because I figured the latter was pretty obvious," he replied dryly as the straw from his cocktail fell from his lips, shifting his gaze away from the newspaper to the woman.
