Yuugi had said good afternoon to both his Grandfather and his Mother as he took a seat down at the kitchen table. After he gave his thanks, he dug into his brunch of sorts, making sure to save enough room in his stomach for the burgers him and his friends would surely consume.

The Hikari had intentionally left his shoes up in his rom so he could make his way back up there once the ten minutes were up. Luckily for him, that’s how long it took. Wiping off the excess crumbs from his lips, the light leaned back in his seat with a satisfied grin. “That was delicious! If you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna finish getting ready for the day.”

Once he had gave both of the adults quick kisses upon their cheeks, he bounded back up the stairs and made his way to the door. It had been ten minutes and nothing had happened, no calamity of sorts came about and Yuugi couldn’t sense Yami’s presence quickly anymore. Naturally, he had though the worse had happened and yet upon opening the door and coming into the room, his eyes grew wider than normal.

There, upon his freshly made sheets, was his partner, his Dark and his literal everything. His mouth nearly dropped to the ground in surprise and he had to pick it up and cover it so his family members wouldn’t come rushing in to see what was wrong. Taking care to shut the door, a wide, face breaking smile crossed his features and he excitedly went to kneel before the male on the ground; his hand reached out to stroke the top of his Yami’s in wonderment. He was nearly speechless. So this is what he was talking about this morning.

His Yami, the one who had been by his side through thick and thin, to help him when things were down and comfort him in his time of need was finally in a place to be able to actually feel and eat and breathe. Just like he could. “I… Wha-? How?” That smile never left Yuugi’s lips and instead, he turned his gaze up at the other, head tilted slightly off to the side in a curious manner.

It wasn’t long before he heard Yuugi’s footsteps on the stairs, but the only movement he made was to turn to face the door with an expectant smile and of course to breathe. And sure enough it wasn’t long before the door swung open and Yuugi stood there. He almost chuckled seeing the pure shock that filtered through features that had been worried just seconds before a fact that made him feel slight guilt for a moment until the shock also melted away and was replaced with a smile that he had never seen before.

That brilliant smile showed Yuugi’s inner light more so than any other smile he could remember seeing before. Which said quite a bit indeed, even a little smirk from his aibou could light up the darkest room. But this, it was as if he had given him the greatest gift imaginable from the hikari beaming the way he was and he felt a big swell of pride go through him knowing that he was the one who caused that beaming smile of his.

The former Pharaoh watched quietly as his hikari walked to him still sporting that beautiful smile and his eyes followed the boy’s hand as it reached for his then settled over it. He could feel it, feel the softness of Yuugi’s palm on the back of his hand, the gentle pressure from the slight weight, and the warmth it gave off. He may have given Yuugi a gift by doing this, but he had also given himself one as well.

“I called on the puzzle’s power and my own from my unknown past. I wished to surprise you if it worked. And it has.. Surprise,” he replied warmly and reached with his unoccupied hand to cup Yuugi’s cheek gently. “I can actually feel you now without my soul room, aibou. It amazes even me.”

"This was truly the best surprise ever." The excitement filtered through his tone and his body seemed as if it was buzzing and vibrating. Amethyst eyes widened slightly at this new feeling upon his cheek. It was warm and held a certain comfort that only this man could bring.

He tried not to let it get to him but being in this moment, he couldn't help it. His heart soared and burst with happiness; tears welled up within the corners of his eyes and he leaned into that palm. It was there. This wasn't a dream.

The little hikari blew out a small breath that would fan across the others skin. Nimble fingers would press softly into the hand below while the urge to hug the ancient former Pharaoh was about as high as his heart.

"Thank you. Thank you so much, Yami." These words were whispered softly. Sure, he was used to being touched by the other while in their soul room but this was the real world. Yuugi's world and it felt amazing.

"You should really wear more leather, aibou. It looks good on you and add some silver chains."

“Do you really think so? I’ll give it a try and see how it goes! It’s is quite a different look.”

“I don’t mind at all. Do you have some ideas you want to show me?”

“I do actually! I was thinking about the time that we had gone out with Tea and the outfit we had. Add a few silver chains and maybe a bracelet and I think we’d be okay! Then again, there are these other two over here.” Pointing at a small mess of fabric, Yuugi heads over to sort it out, laying out three different leather styles, one with the chains, one with leather cuffs and the other had the cuffs paired with a choker of sorts to set the look off. “What do you think?”

He felt the smile leave his face when the date was mentioned. He liked Tea, as a friend, as an ally, and he was grateful for her support of Yuugi. However when it came to the less platonic relations he couldn’t see her that way. She had quickly become a friend to him and almost like a sister figure, but he knew who he wanted in the romantic sense and it wasn’t her…or any woman for that matter.

The one he wanted was the one asking his opinions on clothes and accessories now. But for Yuugi he would hide it as best as he could and continue to guide and support him, himself.

“Why not mix the three? They would all work well together,” he suggested. “That’s only if you want to go all out though. For more casual I’d suggest the choker and chains or the cuffs with the chains.”

Now that would be a look, however, he felt that would be a little overkill. Leather was nice but he never thought it suited him as well as it did the other. There was something about the way it hugged in certain places that just seemed wrong to be on the smaller.

His cheeks flared up at this line of thinking and he had to shake off the feeling of utter embarrassment before resuming. "That would work, but I think I'll stick with the choker and the chains. I don't want to overdo it."

A brilliant smile was flashed his way and his cheery disposition never faltered. "Thank you so much!"

Omg this is my dumbest comic. But I love it, it’s stupid cute and I couldn’t help myself(again) I wonder where my humor is sometimes.
