Princess
The candle flickered in the sudden draft. I rushed to it and shielded the tiny flame from the wind.
âWho's there, show yourselfâ I asked, No sound.
âI know you're thereâ my attempt to sound strong quickly fading in the night. The only thing I heard from the darkness was a small deep laugh.
âShow yourself to meâ I faced the origin of the sound. My heart was almost beating out of my chest. He stepped toward me, the candle illuminating his features. He was a ghostly white, And his smile literally stretched to his ears.
âWhy are you here, this is my wing of the living quart-â I demanded but he cut me off. I looked into his eyes, and they were black pits.
âNot anymore Princessâ He said the deep timber of his voice shaking my barely there confidence.
âWhat do you mean?â I asked my voice wavering.
âThe big boss is splitting your wing... I should say our wingâ He smiled âbetter start gettinâ used to me Princessâ
âHow can I do that when you look like Slenderman with eyes?â I thought.
âAm I makinâ you nervous Princess?â He got eye level with me .
âNo, Iâm having a splendid time.â I said sarcastically. âAnd stop calling me âPrincessâ, its very demotingâ
âI start moving in on Monday. See ya then, Princessâ He started moving for the door. I rolled my eyes and put my hand in front of the candle as he opened it. That began a very odd time in my life.
