Key examples include Michelle Obama's Becoming, Tara Westover's Educated, and Chanel Miller's Know My Name, which emphasize reclaiming narratives and finding strength.

Key Themes in the Genre:

- Overcoming Trauma/Adversity: Stories often deal with survival against abuse, war, or poverty.

- Self-Discovery & Authenticity: Focusing on breaking societal norms and finding true identity.
