Once again natural healing (pt7)

Back here again... Again same this same steps to try healing it, everything failed once again. Until my consultant suggested I tried salt baths with Dead Sea salt as it has healing elements. I must say this worked very well it healed the wound very fast, but it stopped once it got very small, it just didn't want to go past a point. Once I was at this point I had been past onto a plastic surgeon who does a flap that is meant to move and put skin over the air meaning it is closed. We planned to to do this operation just as I finished college. The day it was planned for was the day before my last day. I was pretty certain it would work, it had to or I had to put my life on hold for a year.

Operation 3 (pt6)

So in March 2016 they re did the secondary attempt of closer, all the same happened again. But I got to go home that day as I was pretty much first on the list. This time I had 3 weeks with the stitches and again these 3 weeks where the same, so skipping to taking the stitches out. They removed them all.... Well....and there was a small hole but they said that will close within a couple days , just take it easy. So a week later I went to work and within a couple hours of my shift I had the worst pain ever and I had to go see a doctor as quick as possible, so I went down the the walk in centre as it was a week end and they told me the whole area had reopened up and then they found an unremoved stitched, so then I was stitch free. But again, I was back where I started...

Natural healing again (pt5)

So back to natural healing. This I could go to college, leave the house, go to work and just try to live a normal life but with packing everyday. At first they used a normal Cotten like packing, and with no results on healing they tried silver, again healing wasn't being very speedy. I had a change of diet, adding more protein though beans as at this point I was a vegetarian. Again adding protein wasn't working, but I kept it up in the hope it would help and it made me feel like I was doing my part. They then tried to use honey. This did kind of work, it made it bleed less and heal a bit faster, but still not fast. We used the honey up to the point of my next operation.

Operation 2 (pt4)

In October 2015 I had a secondary attempt of closer operation, this was taking out bad tissue and stitching the area up. This day was horrid. I got to the hospital for 7:30 am and sat there till 5pm .... All day no food or water, dyhitaded and hungry, wasn't great. I ended up staying in the night as I didn't get back to the ward till 7 pm and i didn't know I was allergic to penicillin at this point so I was pretty ill feeling. The next day I went home to start 2 weeks of laying on my sides at home watching to. The day of stitches coming out: well it could of been better, pretty much nothing healed and as they started to take out the stitches the whole area started to separate and the nurse removing them refused to take out half of them and I was sent to the hospital where they just removed the rest, said the wound was fine and sent me home. At this point again I was back to healing again.... Back to where I was before this operation.

Vacuuming (pt3)

As I wasn't healing as expected i was transferred to a healing clinic called healoligics, they are specialists in healing and spreading the processes up. At first they tried using different types of packing and seeing how long it takes without any aid so they could see what my healing was like, and it was slow and poor. They tried silver packing to help kill Bactria but it had the same results as normal packing so they suggested a type of therapy on my wound called vacuum therapy. Basically it's a small machine that one stuck on using plasters to created an air tight seal, it sucks in and created a vacuum forcing all the good stuff to come to the top making it heal quicker. The machine I had was called a PICO and it did work really. I had it on for 2 weeks and it closed it. For about a month....

Natural healing (pt2)

So once I was out of hospital (the next day) I wasn't able to leave my house, I had a nurse come everyday to tend my wound, and I couldn't go to school for a month. I found this part hard as I couldn't sit down, walking was painful and stiff. I couldn't bend down to pick stuff up or even put food in the oven (so microwave meals it was). I had all my school work emailed to me and a friend of mine came round to in a way teach me what I missed. This part isn't really that interesting compared to the rest of my story. This healing was slow and never ending. This healing went on for months, honestly I don't remember how long it took cause in a way it never did heal because if it did I wouldn't still be in this situation.

The beginning?? (Pt1)

So I'll start with 2014. I was 15, just about to start exams. In February in the half time I started to get bad back ache , I went to my doctor to go check it out as for me it was not normal. I was told I had a cyst and was given antibiotics. After 5 days of taking the antibiotics nothing was happening, I was feeling worse in myself and by Saturday top of my buttocks was red boil like and filled with puss. As it was a Saturday my doctors wasn't open and I went to a walk in centre. Little did I know how serious what I had was, and it wasn't just a cyst. When I finely got to see a doctor poked for a minute and got straight on the phone of the conquest hospital in hasting admitting me as an emergency admittance. He told me that I had an abscesses, cause properly by an In growing hair and I needed to have an operation on it asap to get it drained. I went to the hospital straight away and as I was sitting waiting to see the doctor the whole abscess burst , relieving pressure and pain, but it needed a wash out. That day I was sent into theatre to have a wash out and to cut the whole area out and left to heal from the bottom to the top. That ends just the beginning, from that point on I didn't realise that i had a long journey in front of me , one that is still going on.
