Throwback Thursday!

8 years ago today Bandai hosted the grand opening of Music City. Music City was the brand new TamaTown that was exclusive to the newest Music City Tamagotchi. Prior to December 22nd there was a sneak peek version with limited functionality that got Tamagotchi fans very excited!

Now if you recall correctly, we were all very excited for the launch on December 22 but there were some technical difficulties. The launch was pushed back to the 23rd instead but it was well worth the wait! The first interactive TamaTown website where you could select preset phrases to chat with other members, log in as your current character, design your own apartment, and much much more!

Music City was a huge feature and it made the Music Star a great version, one of our favorite features was the ability to create your own music, and even compete in competitions to win prizes! Cheers to the 8 year anniversary! What was your favorite feature of Music City?

I loved the new feature of being able to actually interact with other people on that site! It was like Club Penguin.
