When the Impeachment Trial started we were faced with 8 articles against the Chief Justice that had no legal leg to stand on. That 188 Congressmen from the House of Representative forwarded the complaint to the Senate in record time was appalling. As the hearings progressed, it became obvious that the basic evidence was culled from spurious sources that even now is shouting loud to be addressed so as to keep the confidentiality of everyone’s records sacrosanct.

Day 26 of the Impeachment Trial was one of the most dramatic so far with Sen. Miriam's ceaseless tirade against the Prosecution Team and the reaction of Private Prosec. Lawyer Vitaliano Aguirre by covering his ears. Much has been said about their actions but I firmly believe that the senator, by virtue of her position & stature, should have been the better person. This article contains the rules of disqualification for judges. I intend to review it to gauge if her actions falls within these parameters.

This is a good example of how NOT to behave in court or anywhere. Regardless of both sides' justifications, I will stand by the following code of conduct: 1) If I want to point out someone's errors, I will do so without demeaning anyone; 2) If I have anything against someone, I will keep quiet first and wait for the proper moment to express it but in a respectful manner.

Among all the articles of the impeachment case against CJ Renato Corona, Article 2 has created the biggest dent for him. As the prosecution is about to submit their formal offer of evidence, their is still the matter of how the bank docs of the CJ were obtained. If this is indeed illegal, there is a chance it might not be accepted, which means the CJ can breathe deeper. But should the senator-judges accept it, the defense team have their work cut out for them.
