Walker Independence - moodboard
now introducing . . .
the southern muse ๐๐ข
have you seen her? 5โ9โ thique and fine, what a tragedy. known as the Princess of Independence and to be the sweetest girl around in town. she sings every saturday at Haganโs and entrances the entire room with her honey sweet voice and angel like presence, having the ability to make a loud place calm and quiet. and although at night youโll find her performing like no other; strumming her guitar and moving to the beat of the marvelous music. during the day youโll find her riding on her beautiful beloved horses Blue Jeans and Bullseye โ when sheโs not coming up with genius music and performance ideas with Miss โjust a dancerโ Kate Carver that is. She will also help out with selling farm goods from her god motherโs farm from time to time and even give freebies to her loved ones every now and then just because she wants to and just because she can. so, it is truly no surprise why she is so beloved by the town of Independence.

I wasnt trying to paint you off as transphobic or bigot or anything, but just letting you know the whole concept of "fluidity" is not logically accurate and doesnt hold as a arguement.
The whole "its in your DNA you cant change it" is the same logic that was used against trans people to invalidate their preference.
Its wrong to race "change", because its a invalidation to people of that race, and also because it just promotes internalised racism. Its weird to bring in the logic of DNA and what can be considered 'fluid' and whats not.
If everyone followed your logic, a cis woman can say to a trans women that they were born a woman hence the trans women existence is invalid
Your core ideas arent wrong, and i understand you aren't transphobic in any way, just letting you know of the loopholes in your arguement
I donโt think itโs weird for me to bring up DNA at all considering Iโm african american. My ancestors went through the horrific hell of slavery and even more racial trauma after it was abolished. From those points in life up to now there is still a lot of generational trauma that we carry through our literal DNA. Itโs known as epigenetics and thatโs why I personally brought it up.
My community also isnโt the only one that has generational trauma since I also say it in reference to other poc groups. The experiences we go through as poc are literally embedded in us through the ones that came before us so thatโs what I mean when I say it canโt be changed since itโs fundamentally apart of who we are since birth. My experiences as a black woman and the things I continuously face to this day (along with the generational trauma that I mentioned) is something that I have to live with and remember because it all shapes who I am today.
Hence me going into the conversation of race not being fluid like gender or sexuality since those things are apart of human discovery and our own individual identities. Thatโs also why I brought up how I was bi curious at one point bc I used to be straight but then as time went by I found what genuinely connected with my identity and what represented me as an individual and what I liked. I canโt do that with race nor do I want to because a) I love being black, b) Iโm very proud of who I am, where I come from, my culture & especially my ancestors and c) IโM THE MFโKIN BLUEPRINT.
anyways this will probably be the last post of me talking about this so I hope it clears up any confusion. goodbye.
Die
OH MY GOD MY FIRST DEATH THREAT?????? on this lovely saturday morning mind you. I donโt hate to break it to you but Iโm immortal so technically Iโm never really going to die nor do I feel like it๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
I hope you reflect on why you decided to send me this message (like an anonymous coward mind you) instead of doing something better with your life. I can think of a million better things to be doing but if thatโs your top choice I feel very pitiful for you.
ANYWAYS, have fun staying beneath me <3
to the anon who sent me that long ass ask asking me โBut who is deciding what is fluid? Why cant you 'discover' your race, but you can discover your gender?โ and trying to imply that I donโt respect transgender people PUHHHHLEAAAAASE be so fr.
I already answered that and itโs pretty simple WHY. all it takes is two brain cells to figure out why so Iโll let you figure that out yourself. as for trying to make me out to be some disrespectful bigot YOU can fuck off. thank you next!
hi ur the sweetest ilysm โกโกโก

SOMEONE CALLED HER BILLIE CHILDISH LMFAOOOOO, Iโm definitely using that when I confront her now lmao.
iโll always choose to be a woman in every lifetime โก
damn right!!!!!
I hate that this has to be said but unfortunately common sense isnโt as common as it used to be.
gender and sexuality are fluid while race is not. you can discover yourself overtime and come to the realization that you identify as something that feels right but you canโt just wake up one day and decide that youโre a race that youโre not. for example, I wasnโt always bisexual. I became bi curious in 2018 and then a few years later I came to the conclusion that I am in fact bisexual since I realized I was attracted to both men and women. It was something I was able to realize about myself.
Iโve forever been a black woman ever since I was born. Those experiences as being a black woman are forever tied to who I am not to mention through literal DNA and soul connections I share with my ancestors. I canโt discover over time that Iโm white, asian or hispanic because it doesnโt work that way. Itโs not something I can just choose to be in an entirety. I can relate to others (especially poc) but my individual experience as a black woman isnโt something that can be molded into a different racial identity.
seeing the topic of race changing come back around on tumblr is a bit frustrating considering the horrible comparisons I constantly see that people try to use as an excuse to justify it and ESPECIALLY since there are many people who donโt care to understand or listen to poc voices as to why the majority of us donโt like it or know itโs wrong. I canโt stop a lot of people from doing it (nor do I really want to anymore since those are their personal karmic lessons to learn I suppose) but at the very least PLEASE stop trying to say changing race is the same as changing gender or sexuality when itโs not. those are FLUID. F L U I D .
you can discover and realize youโre:
a girl
a boy
an it
a they
a gay
a bisexual
an asexual
anything that is FLUID.
BUT YOU CANโT DISCOVER OR REALIZE THAT YOU ARE ANOTHER RACE BECAUSE RACE IS NOT NOR WILL IT EVER BE F L U I D .
and idc what anyone says, if you think you can just wake up one day and โrealizeโ youโre more of one race than the one you are fundamentally born as then youโre deeply mistaken and just overall wrong. like if we are gonna talk about race changing letโs PLEASE bring common sense to the table P L E A S E. bc if I see one more person genuinely think race changing is the same as gender or sexuality changing Iโm literally gonna have no more hope on this reality improving on itโs intelligence level smh. ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
some people need to SHUT THEIR BITCH ASS UP!!!!
looks like Iโm gonna have to clock billie eilishโs stupid ass in my soloist dr for that arrogant white privileged ass take๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ Iโm real tired of the bs if you couldnโt tell already lol.
