Wire photo info: Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable arrived together at Ciro’s for the party Walter Winchell gave for Louella Parsons. Since Joe and Harry were out of town, Betty picked up Marilyn; drove her to the affair. They were late due to one of Betty’s children having her himself and she had to stay with him to make sure he was alright. Marilyn was dressed and waiting on time, commented; ” That was first time she had been ready for a night out… and her ‘date’ (Betty Grable) was behind schedule.”
