Eyes narrowed as Loki drew closer but the it was minuscule stiffening of his body at the words that fell from blue lips. If he really thought this wasnât up for negotiation then he really had no idea which twin Seff was. Between him & Otsoko, Seff wasnât allowed in battle; this showed why. Stupidly reckless when it came to those he cared about & that included his people.
However, with the death of his twin, there was a piece of Seffâs soul which was missing which could make him more reckless⊠ more often than not at times.
âOh sweetheart, I believe Iâm in the position to demand exactly what I want. And I want all my people pardoned. Iâm sure itâs what you would expect if the tables were turned,â he replied smoothly despite he knew he was treading a line.
Fur rippled up his spine before he shook off the feeling of the need to shift, it wouldnât bode well to do so in front of Loki; he wasnât sure exactly how much the older male knew about him. However, Seff knew much about Loki, the legends spoke for themselves.
From what he read, Frost Giants loved when their victims showed fear, however Loki was in for a surprise if he thought that Seff was going to roll over and show his belly, he was no dog.
Oh, Loki knew how much of a challenge Seff would prove to be. This was exactly why he agreed to all of this. He couldâve just easily butcher everyone, but he decided heâd play for a while. Until it suited him. Until it didnât become boring.
The thing was, Loki often found himself bored of everything eventually. This was why he marched Jötunheim into war with the other worlds. Battles proved to be a challenge, and he had many, many talents he learned he had during them. His slender fingers itched to teach Seff a lesson, but a part of him was entertained by the otherâs defiance.
âOh, theyâll be pardonedâ, he replied calmly, voice deep, âafter a public flogging.â He waited for a few seconds for his words to take effect. âYou canât expect me to let them go without punishment. I didnât march in to spill blood, and they still had the audacity to attack us.â Loki shifted closer to the other, then extended his right to trace his index finger under the princeâs chin. He lifted the younger oneâs head up so their eyes would meet again. Loki was a few inches taller than Seff. âYouâre making it harder for yourself if you resist, I hope you know that. Youâll warm my bed soon enough; Iâd hate for us to start off cold already. Show some control.â
