was she bold to just write her number on this strangers hand ? maybe. yet she didn’t care, she wasn’t with anyone and she didn’t see anything wrong in doing so. hearing him say that he wanted to see what was going on her mind caused her to shake her head ❛ do you honestly want to . I’ve been told it’s dark in here . ❜  she whispers with a little chuckle as she lets pearly whites gnaw down on her lesser lips ❛ anytime you want . ❜ either she was too good at this flirting thing or he was really nonchalant about her whole energy. she looks up at him through her lashes and she forgets that she has to be at the boutique and she pulls away from his frame ❛ I close the boutique at nine o’clock . so if you want to pass by before then and take a look you are more than welcome ——— have a great day mister derek taylor . ❜ 

A laugh escaped Derek’s lips and he shook his head. She definitely didn’t know how dark he got but he saved those feelings for himself. He wasn’t going to lay it all out upon meeting the female. She was giving him the energy he wanted and he wasn’t going to ruin it. Derek was a chill guy until he wasn’t. He smiled at her and nodded, “I’m very interested in that. Until then, Genevieve,” he said, looking her body up and down.

meeting new people seemed to be what this little town was all about . after having the discussion with derek he had decided to invite him over for some beers and a bbq that for some reason he had been bullied into making by hayden. opening the door he sees the name and smiles ❛ come on in man , glad you could make it , man . ❜

Derek slipped into some comfortable athleisure wear. He put on his favorite Nike set with matching sneakers and grabbed a six-pack from his fridge. There was never too much beer was his motto. Arriving at the destination, he smiled as the familiar blond answered the door and dapped him up. “Thanks, I appreciate the invite!” He said genuinely. “Who’s playing?” He asked, looking around at his residence.

he’s benching a little more than he did last week and maybe it’s the stress but then again maybe it’s just to show off how they usually do when they come to work out . ❛ bro can you believe that lisa showed up at the shop talking about why the fuck was I being mean to her ? ❜  he couldn’t believe that he didn’t even know lisa was here and now he was stressing the fuck out, moving away he sits up grabbing a towel and cleaning his forehead  ❛ aren’t you going to comment on any of this ? ❜

Derek let out a huff, spotting the male as he began benching more. He loved seeing his clients reach their goals and beyond. Dusting off his hands as Hayden spoke through his anger, he turned around as Hayden questioned his silence. He lifted his arms and shrugged, “You really tripping this hard during your session, man?” He questioned him. Derek believed you received the best out of your work out when you had a clear mind, and that meant no anger. “And are you...? Are you being mean to her and not realizing it?” This was another thing Derek had about him. He always put others feelings before his own. He had a level head until he became angry.

Anya was a mere second away from protesting when he told her to shut up. But his words cut her off. She let out a soft sigh, sinking down on her chair. How Derek could be so kind to someone who used to be in cahoots with Sam was baffling to her. “You’re a really good guy, you know that?”

He smiled at the brunette, looking down at his empty plate and shrugged as she complimented him. Derek had always had a nurturing trait to him, he believed it came from feeling the needed to protect his mother. He always wanted her to be okay after the selfless decision she made of adopting a child like him. He missed her more than anything. “Thanks, Anya. You... have really really good hair,” he added back with a chuckle.

he saw the way that amelia interacted with Derek and it was truly baffling to him how she could get anyone wrapped around her finger. he had kk rush in her growing up, he definitely knew that some people were going to end up dead and he was honestly quite altered that would become true. ❛ well anytime you want to babysit you are more than welcome though I think you will have to fight my friend gen for it cause she is attached to this child as if it were her own. ❜ he chuckles thinking of telling gen no to taking care of amelia. that was amazing regiment he had no interest in being part of. ❛ pleasures all mine, mate . if your ever in the mood, I have a little get together Saturday’s and Sunday’s at my house . a few people , a few beers and some soccer . you’re always more than welcome to come and amelia lives have if people adore her so that’s always a plus. ❜ 

Derek smiled and listened to the blond as he spoke. He was definitely more about keeping to himself but he didn’t seem to get any bad gut reactions as he explained the situation. Derek wasn’t the best judge of character but nothing was making him off run off yet. He would give him a chance. “Babysitter? I don’t know if Amelia and I are ready for that next step,” he joked and laughed. “But, I’m there for the beer and soccer, and Amelia in the back, man.”

Sam had been bored without Colton - yes, she was angry at him but that didn’t miss the games the two of them played. Instead, she had been bothering Derek. Little parcels every couple of days on his doorstep; a picture of them on their wedding day, a cupcake, a tub of his favourite flavour protein powder. After about two weeks of this, she had “accidentally” bumped into him in the street and shot him a bright smile. “Derek, my love. How are you?”

Derek kept having to come home to packages after long days at work, all from Samantha. He shook his head at every single one, immediately dumping them in his trash. He knew it couldn’t be good. He had finally seen that. He didn’t need to be reeled back in. Another day, another package as he stepped outside for his daily run. Two packages in one this time, one at his door and one on the street as he came face to face with her. “Sam. I’m fine,” he responded as he walked past her. He turned around and gave her a smile, “You’re something, you know that?” He said looking at his ex-wife.

Anya forced out a snicker before her face dropped to a stone-cold expression. “If you’re gonna pull that trick, do me a favor and leave the pizza.” She shook her head with a smile, taking another bite of her pizza. “It would have saved you the hassle and the expense. Oh, and having to witness how pathetic I am. You’re gonna have nightmares.”

Derek finished his last bite, wiping his mouth with a napkin and raised his hands, shooing away the energy she was putting out. He was never going to question or judge her. People had their problems, he definitely knew most about those. “Shut up, An,” he simply said. “Whatever happened, happened,” he added. “You don’t have to worry about me and my opinions. I’m just glad you’re safe,” he genuinely said to her.

he noticed the way that amelia reacted once that she was on the other persons arms he couldn’t help but let a small smirk plaster against his brims ❛ she’s quite the mood changer . ❜  he says as he watches amelia put her small hands on the males face and began to babbles , it sounded like she was having  a whole conversation with derek , her giggles echoed the small space between them and axel can’t help but shake his head ❛  you seem to have made quite the impression on her . ❜  he lets his arm rest on the stroller as he sees amelia Interact with the male ❛ you can hand her back whenever your ready , I know she’s quite heavy . ❜  

Derek let loose on the little girl. Every ounce of his hard exterior immediately came down once she was in her arms. He bounced her, made funny noises, gave all the baby talk he could, and giggled along with her as the two enjoyed themselves. He couldn’t remember the last time he had held a baby and he was enjoying every minute of it. “Hand her back? Bro, you crazy, this is my mini-weight right now instead of taking a run,” he teased, bouncing her one last time and handing her back to her parental figure. “Thanks, man, I needed that,” he admitted. “It was good meeting you both, actually!”

she didn’t think that he was actually going to donate money and they their interaction would end there but it didn’t . ❛  yeah, glamor and bloom is all about giving back . ❜  she says with a small chuckle as she lets her red petals wrap around the drink and lets the caffeine coerce through her body . ❛ well thank you so much . ❜  she says as she pulls out her wallets decorated by stitch in all diamonds. she slides the bill in putting a small little paper next to it and she writes his name and puts it away . ❛ well, if your not too busy maybe I can give you a tour of my boutique one day . ❜ she grabs his hand and writes down her number on his hand ❛  call me, anytime . ❜ 

Derek bit his lip as he smiled, watching the red-head shoot her shot right on his hand. He nodded, looking down at the ink and grinned at her. “I’d like that,” he said with a cocky smile. “I want to see what goes on in that head of yours, Genevieve,” he added. “You sure about anytime, Miss Business?”

As Derek left the premises with their pizzas in hand, Anya was bounding at his heels like an excitable puppy. The brunette wasted no time tearing the box open and shoving a slice of pizza into her mouth. Her eyes met his as she gazed at him with a vacant stare, her cheeks flushing a noticeable shade of red. She forced her lips to form a smile. “I’m fine. Dandy. A-okay. Peachy keen.” Anya was trying to downplay her emotions, but she knew Derek wasn’t stupid. “I’ll be fine. I always am,” she explained. “But thank you. You really didn’t have to do any of this.”

He nodded, continuing to eat his pizza. He could tell she wasn’t going to budge about what had had happened to her but he wanted to make himself transparent as possible– he would always be available to help those in need even if they didn’t want it. He shrugged and inched off the seat, “I can just go now if ya’ want,” he said teasingly, sitting back down. “What’d ya think I was going to leave you looking like a lost puppy, girl? You outta’ pocket,” he said.

it seemed like as soon as he spoke to her amelias mood changed and she giggled at his words ❛  I think she likes you . ❜  he confessed with a light chuckle to his words. ❛  it’s a pretty nice place , I’m sure it has its beauty, once you see most of it or get to discover most of it . ❜  he says and he sees the eye contact that he has with amelia, usually the baby is a great judge of character and he takes a deep breath as he turns over to the man ❛  would you like to carry her ? ❜ 

Derek continued making faces at the baby, getting her to bounce and smile back. He listened to the blond and he was suddenly offering his baby. Did Derek find it odd he was about to hold a random baby? Yes. Was he getting more serotonin than he did in the past week? Yes. He wasn’t about to ask questions or make a fuss. He nodded, extending his arms and grabbing the baby, smiling at her. “Man, I needed this,” he admitted as he rocked her. “Babies are like... puppies... they just make you happy,” he said, hoping he didn’t offend the father.

❛ maybe when my schedule clears up I might have to pay you for a few lessons . ❜  she used to be a huge health-gym nut but ever since she opened the boutique she hasn’t had time for anything, not even eating, sometimes . today’s conversation with the man is proof of that . she lets a small smile paint her red blood petals as she looked at the man before her ❛ meal on you ? ❜ she’s usually not one to even say yes to anything of the sort but she goes on a whim and ponders on it ❛ your on as long as you donate a little money to the charity event I’m doing at my boutique . it’s for a good cause , if your still interested of course . it’s very nice to meet you derek . ❜ 

His eyebrows raised at her proposition and he nodded his head, “I can definitely do that, yeah, anything for a good cause,” he said with a wink. “Well, you just let me know when and where, and here,” he said, pulling his wallet out of his back pocket. “How about $100 for your charity event now, and more when it comes time to the actual event?” He said, putting the bills in her hands. “The pleasure is all mine.”

amelia giggles as he spoke and she reaches for him as to grab him and axel shakes his head ❛ yeah it seems speci ——- sorry about that she wants attention from everyone . ❜ he confesses as his baby begins to cry because she’s not able to go to the man or the floor . ❛ I am honestly not looking forward to her growing up at all . the boys and the trouble are not something that I want at all . ❜ he chuckles as he shakes his head and looks at the man ❛ have you been here long or are you new as well ? ❜

Derek made a face of panic as the baby started crying. He instantly wanted to begin helping but it might’ve seemed creepy if he offered his arms to help the blond with his baby. He nodded his head, scratching his head and making silly faces at the baby to help lighten her mood. “Yeah definitely, boys are not good, you hear me, Amelia?” He said, laughing. “I’ve been here about two months now, getting to know my way around this place,” he explained. “It’s been interesting, to say the least.”

“How you spoil me.” Anya grinned at the man as she wandered behind him. “You have a lot of hostility towards my delightful chips. What did they ever do to you?” “Um, yeah.” The brunette glanced down at the ground, gnawing on her cheek. “Turns out carnivals on Icaria… not so fun.”

Derek shook his head, letting out a small huff. The cook passed over their boxes of pizza and he smiled, letting out a ‘thank you’ towards the line and guided them to an empty table outside the restaurant. He gave the female her food and began to dig in, “Yeah, apparently that’s too much to ask for,” he said in between bites. “You good, though? You... seemed a bit shaken when I found you. You don’t have to talk about it but if you need help, you know you can let me know, right?”

she lets her chocolate hues glaze over the man. she’s never seen him before and she’s usually rather observant but she shakes the thoughts away and listen to him as she speaks . ❛ couldn’t sleep ? ❜ she was the queen of insomnia, it was hard to sleep recently and she didn’t know if because isabela’s anniversary was coming around the corner. ❛ you’re a trainer —— or did i read that completely wrong ? ❜ she questions as the barista hands her the larger cup and  the black coffee , she hands the girl a $20 dollar bill ❛  the coffees on me , don’t worry and keep the change babe . ❜ she turns to the male once again as she hands him the coffee ❛  i’m genevieve but you can call me gen . ❜ she confessed as a small smile forms on her lips.

“Yeah, I’m a fitness instructor,” he said. His eyes widen and stomach sinks as the female handed over her money. For the both of him. The gentlemen in Derek couldn’t handle it and he shook his head, bringing out his wallet and tipped the workers double the amount needed. “Thank you, Genevieve,” he said, simply thanking her and letting her beat him to it when it came to paying. “But, you can’t think I’m going to let you get away with that,” he added. “Meal on me, when you’re free, of course. I’m Derek Taylor.”
