Driving into the RV Park we are in.
We made it to Prescott
Right now it's only about 10° cooler than Mesa, but at nights the temperature drops considerable more than Mesa, and the Phoenix area. And when the heat is grueling during the day,,, Cool nights are very good.
We have a nice spot at the Whistle Stop RV Park, which we have stayed at a few times before.
We used to stay at The Orchard, but this place seems to always have so much more room.
It is actually in Dewey, which is right before Prescott Valley, which is right before Prescott. They all run together.
Prescott has 3 Walmarts and a CostCo, along with lots of other important stuff like Best Buy. ha ha.
All new Tow Equipment
I wanted to try something different with our KarGard, shield that protects the car when we are towing it.
It would hit the car or the motor home when we did tight turns, or went up or down steep inclines.
Rather than have it attached to the TowBar where it swiveled up and down, (A lot,) I wanted to try having it in a fixed position on the car. At least that way it would never be able to hit the car.
I took the (Stingers?) that lock into the car when we tow it, down to a local welding shop and ask them to well the KarGard holders on it. They would not because they were dealers and said they would be liable if something happened.
So I went with hi grade U-Bolts that fit perfect. On the top side, I went to NAPA and got a pair of muffler clamps.
I test fitted it and it seems t work very nice.
Then tried the KarGard
And I think I am on to something. (ha ha)
It is very stable, and has no movement at all.
At the same time, I got a new TowBar, and a 7" extension which seems to keep the KarGarg from being able to touch the Motor Home on tight turns.
Solving problems one at a time !
Breakfast at Crackers and Co.
One of our favorite Breakfast places in Arizona.
Kim wanted her crepes.
And I love Eggs Benedict (Without the meat. ha ha)
Putting the Truck back in Storage
A 2 hour drive up to put the truck on storage in Cottonwood where it is cooler, so is will be easier on it.
Like a lot of things I do, I probably over did it. It actual has 2 covers on it, one over the other.
They are soft felt like materiel on the inside so as not to scratch.
Then a 2 hour trip back. We stopped at Wendy's (Which we had not been to for years,) for a frosty. They now have many flavors, But I of course always go for Vanilla.
Fixing the Huston Problem
Yesterday I install new rubber trim that we lost on the way to Huston. You can see in one of the blogs below, that Kim got up on the roof in a windstorm and cut it off. (There are pictures of her doing it.)
We had to, because it was flapping and hitting the side of the motor home really bad.
So ee have left it off for a couple weeks, but I finally got around to install new/better trim. It looks really nice. But as you can see, the Motor Home need washing really bad.
Back to Mesa
Passig through Casa Grande.
Checking into The GoodLife RV Park. They are now giving gifts when you register.
All settled in to a sight that we have been in many times over the years.
Max is always glad to stop moving.
Carl and Lisa were very nice to run us up to Cottonwood to get our truck.
We stopped at a place Kim said we had eaten before and liked. It was really good. Mine was a cheese enchilada and a tostada.
Kim and Lisa had some complicated salad. ha ha.
On To Tucson & Sweet Tomatoes
(Unless we want to turn around and go to Bukee's)
Spot we found in Tucson for a few nights.
Max was so glad to settle for a while. Travel days are bad hair days for him.
At last. Sweet Tomatoes. This first time since the "pandemic". We sure have missed it.
43' of salad bar , times 2. So good..
We were jsut getting started. ha ha
Bouncing between New Mexico and Texas
Were staying on the boarder so we kept seeing sings welcoming us to Texas then New Mexico several time.
A trip to Olive Garden tbe LONG way around ?
We stayed in New Mexico
Where Kim tried to trade me in for a new Boyfriend,
Dust Storms
We went through several.
On to El Passo
A Night in Fort Stockton
All the long term sites were under cover. Probably for hail !
Headed to Junction.
Stopping at a rest stop for a little Lunch on the way.
We didn't put out the passenger slide. It was just a short stop.
We drove by some Tower Monkeys.
Stopping for the night.at Northern Llano River RV Park
It was on a river.
It was a short stay and now we are getting on the road again.
Wonder World Caves
We went to an amazing Cave a little above Austin Texas.
We also visited their Anti Gravity Room
The Gift Store
Wonder World Cave Gift Shop
Waiting to go down in the Cave.
Wonder World Cave 360° Videos
I will be posting links to 360° video below as I Upload them.
For several reasons, the video in the caves are GLITCHY. I am not sure if it was the close quarters or the dark, or both. But those of the gift shop are fine.
While watching the videos, you can look in all direction and zoom in and out by sliding the screen.
If you are on a "Device," you can just turn the device in the direction you want to look. They are also fun to watch on a VR Headset, becasue it feels like you are actually there.

More Comming.......
Huston, We have a problem
On the way to Houston.
Wwe had some weather stripping come our on I-10 traveling across Texas. You can see it sagging at the top . It was flapping really hard against the Motor Home and we thought it would scratch the paint.
So we pulled over in a gas station parking lot, and Kim got up there in a very strong wind, and just cut it off at the front and back.
