He was bursting with excitement, his steps almost bouncy as he moved them through the TARDIS, every so often turning aside to point out various other rooms. The smell of soil and vegetation soon took precedence in the air quality, and the air became more warm and humid.

“A compromise, then?” he chuckled, “We have to be open with each other. If either of us are uncomfortable, we have to tell the other.”

She nodded and smiled. “That sounds like a good plan.” She bit her lip, smiling and blushing.

“How about we get out before we prune?” the Doctor gave that smile, reaching around to turn the water off, his other hand already dragging the towels towards them.

“Right.” She wrapped the towel around herself and stepped out.

He followed after, chuckling at how steamy the bathroom had grown. He bent down, kissing Rose again, still amazed that he had her once more.

Rose turned towards the shower and finished undressing. Then she stepped into the steamy shower.

The TARDIS had enlarged the shower to accommodate them both, for which the Doctor was glad. He didn’t want Rose to feel…imposed upon. He smiled softly, grabbing a washcloth and the soap, “Want me to get your back for you?”

She smiled at him, blushing a bit. “If you dont mind.” She pulled her hair to the side so it would be out of the way.

He soaped up the cloth before washing her back, his other hand resting gently upon her hip.

Rose’s entire body relaxed. She wasnt entirely sure how she was going to feel about all of this, but as always being with the Doctor, even like this, felt as normal and natural as breathing.

“There you go,” he pressed the still sudsy cloth into her hands before turning, “Want to get my back?”

“Of course.” She washed his back gently, marveling at every inch of him. After rinsing his back, she kissed his shoulder and left her lips there for a moment. “There you go.”

She sighed. “I’m fine but I get the hint. Sorry.” She half smiled and gently pushed him up so she could get up off of the couch.

The Doctor took her arm, gently, in case she wanted to pull away, “That’s not what I meant, Rose. I want you to stay, here, with me. I want you to live a long, happy life. I’m just wanting to make sure you are taken care of, that’s all. Humans,” he smiled, running his fingers through her hair before cupping her cheek, “You are so fragile. You live but for a moment and are whisked away. I love you, Rose.”

He took her hand and kissed it, holding it close to his chest, “I love you, Rose Tyler,” he repeated, “I’m going to tell you a secret. A great secret. A secret I have told no one,” he leaned in, whispering into her ear.

Rose’s eyes grew wide and her breath caught in her throat. She then closed them, smiling and shaking her head. “You never cease to amaze me do you know that?” She kissed his cheek and then got back up to leave the room.

The Doctor watched her go, a mix of emotions stirring in his hearts. So many he could not keep track. It was overwhelming. He stood up as well, following after Rose.

Rose turned and giggled. “I’m just going to go shower. As you said, I’m human!” She poked his nose. “Now if you are that worried about letting me out of your sight you are welcome to join me.” She laughed, only half joking and headed to the bathroom.

“I could do that. Save on the water,” he followed still, that half smile still on his face. He had no problem with nakedness. It was a fact of life, honestly. You were born that way.

“I…oh. Well okay then!” She giggled and kept going. She hadn’t been expecting that. When she got to the bathroom, she started the shower.

The Doctor grabbed the towels, arranging on the nearby towel rack and then carefully undressed, folding his clothes onto a nearby rack. With just his trousers left, he turned, smiling at Rose, “You sure ‘bout this?”

Rose was blushing like crazy. "Yes, I'm sure." She undressed, down to nothing but her underwear. "Are you sure?"
