PURRRRR....
Jeanette Winterson, Written on the Body
Lorde is out of control
your muse is allowed to underestimate my muse
your muse is allowed to disrespect my muse
your muse is allowed to provoke my muse
your muse is allowed to be a little asshole to my muse
and more – !!
So long as you, the mun, understand the consequences of your muse ticking off my muse your muse is allowed to be not nice to mine. Confrontation can be interesting and fun to rp! I welcome it! While you, the mun, should know better than to provoke my muse your muse might not and that’s okay! Mun does not equal muse and vice versa. When your muse provokes mine, disrespects mine, underestimates mine, I am trusting that even if your muse doesn’t know the consequences that you, the other mun, understand there are repercussions for your muse being an asshole.
you want your muse to be an ass to mine? that’s fine – just don’t whine when your muse doesn’t come out of it unscathed.

Lucifer waits until Tar and Kit are behind him before he lets his expression change. As confident as he is…even he was a victim of doubt. He watched the two halves silently before blinking when he felt the small hand at his back. With a soft smile he glances over his shoulder at Kit, giving him a confident wink. Once Cronus is behind them, and he gives a loud snort at his comment, he taps his cane against the floor. A glowing barrier covers them and the rest. Is up to the two halves.
Kankri smiles appreciatively at Cronus, blowing him a kiss before looking at Kenna across from him. It’s. Such a shock. Like looking into a mirror. A fun house one that changes the reflection slightly. His wings flutter lightly before he gives Kenna a weary smile, slowly extending his hands.
“Let’s save our brother…” he says softly, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. He lets all his emotions pour out, a burning hot warmth in his chest that forms itself as a light curling and traveling down his arms to his extended hands.
As Tar takes up shop behind Lucifer he exhales slowly, letting his eyes blink shut for a moment. There’s doubt in him as well, fear – what if it doesn’t work. What if it goes wrong. What if it goes right? What if Grim comes back and – he’s changed his mind, something’s wrong, something’s different. But he inhales deep and slow and presses it back, forces it down, because he can feel Kit shaking in his arms and that gives him something to focus on.
So he smiles in gentle reassurance and presses a kiss to the back of Kit’s head, drawing him close as he purrs softly at him. “It’s okay, it’s gonna be okay,” he whispers softly, rocking the two of them back and forth slowly.
Kenna doesn’t look back for a second, focused entirely on Grim, on – Kankri. He can be called that, he can have that name. Kenna doesn’t need it anymore, he has a new name, and it suits him just fine. Giving a nod he returns the smile, albeit awkwardly, fangs glinting before he exhales. Reaching out he rests his hands in Kankri’s, letting his eyes slide close.
“Sounds like a plan to me,” he agrees, then all at once lets the fire erupt. The emotions surge through him like an inferno, no soft gentle love to be found. Nothing but pure, wild devotion, roaring through him as his tail sparks and flashes in bright brilliant embers.
Every moment that passes makes Kit’s heart clench in worst kind of anticipation. Nausea swirls around in his stomach, goosebumps crawl up his skin, and he finds that he can barely breath.
He’s coming back. He’s coming back.
He can’t close his eyes, can’t take his eyes off of Kenna and Kankri. Memories begin to filter in, of the hours he’d spend sitting on Grim’s bed, talking to him, whispering to him soft little nothings about how much he missed him, all the way to days he’d come in crying and scream at his prone body about how scared he was, how he was trying so hard to keep himself and Papa from falling apart, how he was trying to keep their family together, but he couldn’t even keep himself together.
He remembers the times he’d put his face down on the sheets by Grim’s hand and told him he’d wished he’d died in his timeline with the rest of his friends. The times he’d lain beside him and whispered about how he was afraid to tell Tar or his mates about everything he was feeling, afraid they’d blame themselves, because he knew they would. He didn’t feel right anymore, didn’t feel safe, didn’t feel whole. Sometimes, he felt like he was living two different lives.
He doesn’t fee the tears on his face anymore. He barely feels anything beyond Tar’s arms around him, as his whole body feels like it’s been stricken numb. It’s been too long. Too long since his family wasn’t broken. His life and his love were all in shambles around him -- he wants this -- so bad. This one little place. In his real life. That is safe. He’s been running away for so long -- when it’s this. This is all he needs. Maybe, with this small start, he can begin to fix things, finally.
He wonders if Grim will be disappointed in him, for being so weak, to need him like this. He wonders if Tar would be, if he told him. What about Cronus and MItuna? Blukat? Knight?
“Dati...” he whispers. “Wake up. Please.”
Please forgive me.

“Okay~! All attention on me~!” Lucifer chimes loudly, tapping his cane on the floor before looking at the two halves. “Kenna and Kankri. It’s going to be relatively simple for the most part. I need you both to stand on each side of his bed. And I need you to reach out and hold each others hands over his body. Then…think of how much you love him. Pour your combined love and picture it in your mind as a physical thing. Like…Kenna, your flames. And Kankri, your light. And just…move it down your arms to your hands and let it wash over your brother.” he explains gently, looking between the two to make sure they understand.
Kankri nods slowly at Cronus’ words, a bit awestruck still but. Determined. So very determined. If he can help his brother..finally…he will do anything he needs to do. So he nods firmly, looking from Lucifer to Kenna and trying his best to smile. “Alright. Anything for Colton.”
Lucifer smiles, absolutely giddy at the thought of the two touching for the first time. But then he clears his throat, looking and the other three. “Considering this is something completely new and things can go wrong with new things…I will need you three to stay behind me against the wall. For safety. These two will be safe, I promise. I know that much. But just to make sure that the powers finally coming together doesn’t hurt any of you I will be standing in front of you and keeping a barrier up for your safety. This is nonnegotiable.”
“Yeah I – I heard,” Tar chokes out, slowly growing more and more overwhelmed by the concept. Grim. Grim they were going to bring back Grim. Something he’s wished for, wished so so much for, but been too terrified to dwell on because of the chance that it might not. But it is, it is, they are, and suddenly he can’t breath as he yanks Kit into a tight hug. “I heard Kit, god I love you so fucking much I really do…!”
Presses his face into his ward’s hair he breathes sharply and shakily and lets the tears drip down. When Lucifer calls for attention he jolts a little, lifting his head to blink blurrily at him. He doesn’t argue, doesn’t even try, just nods wordlessly as he gathers Kit up in his arms and places the both of them behind Lucifer.
“Yes father,” Kenna replies without any hesitation, no fear present in his voice as he strides calmly and confidently into the room that holds his brother. His tail snaps behind him as he moves, the flickering sparks the only sign of unease that he has as he takes his position. For a moment there he pauses, gazing down at the barely flickering form of his brother. Feels his heart clench, feels the pain –
And for once he doesn’t fight it. He lets it boil and burn, free and openly in his chest, just as brightly as he allows his love for him. Giving a firm nod he turns to stare at Kankri – him. His other half, the angel. How bizarre. “I’m ready when you are.”
Kit obeys without question as well, clinging tightly to Tar as they hover behind Lucifer. His breath catches in his throat and he waits, he just waits. Then, slowly, he reaches out one hand to grip the back of Lucifer’s robe as well, clinging to the both of them for support.
A part of him was scared. There was the curl of doubt in him, the ‘what-if’, what if it didn’t work, what if he came back different, what if -- but he banishes those thoughts from his mind with a mighty shove. It would work. Lucifer said it would, and as the person who works with that world’s afterlife -- he’d know, right? Right...
He takes a deep breath, his knuckles turning white from how hard he’s clinging to Tar and Lucifer. Part of him was also scared about the things he’d said to Grim, while the other was asleep. He’d told him his deepest and darkest secrets, just -- wanting to get a response. Wanting some sort of comfort he was too terrified to get from anyone else. Just... wanting him to wake up and smack him, shake him, anything...
And now he would. Wake up, anyway. Kit hopes he won’t smack him, even if he probably does deserve it. He doesn’t take his eyes off of Kenna as he walks, making a note to give him the biggest kiss in the world after this -- not just for what he’s about to do, but also for the shock he just got.
“Howv’s about that? Pretty simple solution for something vwe’wve been vworking for forewver. But hey, I’ll take it.”
Cronus, meanwhile, has slipped his hand into Kankri’s and lead him over to the bed where the mutt was standing. He nods to Lucifer, letting him know that he’ll run over there in just a moment, then turns to Kankri.
“Hey, babe? You’re gonna do great. Don’t psych yourself out, alright?” He tips the other’s face close to his and kisses him, slow and gentle, then smiles at him. “Tell the baby it’s time for him to vwake up. I’ll be right there vwatching you.” Giving a little nod, satisfied with his little pet talk, he runs over to stand behind Lucifer and the others. “GO GET ‘EM BABY I GOT YOUR FLOWVER.”
Kit chokes on a tiny, near hysterical giggle. Forge damnit Cronus.
{Festive Favors}
The reactions are exactly what Lucifer was hoping for. That much is clear from the sparkle in his eye and the toothy grin on his face. He nearly skips as he goes to Kenna and holds his face gently in his palms.
“Kenna. My dear sweet wonderful boy. My favorite hound and reaper. You. You are so. Very powerful. And you never even knew it. I’ve wanted so so badly to tell you and enlighten you of how special you really are and I finally can!” he laughed happily, placing a kiss right on his forehead before turning to the others.
“Now now. Even though angels are my supposed enemy, remember. They are all my brothers. I usually wish them no ill will. Besides. He is part of my sweet boy. I would never risk harming him. Now…On to the details. Kenna, Kankri. You are of heaven and hell. Two of the most powerful powerhouses known. And that’s just apart! Imagine them together. Imagine just. How amazing that power could be! The results could be…infinite. Have you two never wondered why you weren’t given an opposite? Why Kenna never had an angel and Kankri never had a reaper? Because you didn’t need it! The Opposites granted to angels and reapers act as a glue. Neither of you needed the glue!” he exclaims in excitement, bouncing in place.
Finally Kankri, would had been silently staring at Kenna without a word, cleared his throat and spoke quietly. Barely above a whisper. But Lucifer could hear just fine. “And…What does that have to do with saving my-….Our. Brother exactly..?” he asked softly, pushing as close to Cronus as he could.
“Grim. He does need the glue. And he rejected it. He rejected his Opposite. Which I never thought much of! But then he broke the rule and threw his entire existence out of balance, which usually an Opposite would rectify. He fell in love and he chose someone else as his glue. He chose Tarkat as his forever partner. And while that is wonderful and powerful and new! Tarkat can not act as a glue to keep him together. Not physically anyway.” he said softly, giving Tar a fond smile. “While he has kept his mind and soul burning brighter than any Opposite ever could. But Grim’s body needs that dose of grace and darkness to keep it from falling apart. His angel can no longer help him. They are not connected as they should have been and they never will be. But you two…You functioning beautiful anomaly…You can piece him back together. Because you two together…are more powerful then you can imagine. And you can act as a glue for him.”
As Lucifer speaks, Kenna listens. Even if he can’t quite comprehend it all, too much information all at once, he listens. The idea of this – other him. An angel. A version of him that got it right, somehow. Or sort of right he supposes, eyeing the Incubus standing beside him a bit doubtfully.
But there’ll be time to mull over that later, he thinks, because there is something much more important happening. “What do we have to do?” He inquires, straightening himself up and forcing himself to focus on the task at hand.
Tar, meanwhile, is lost. Tar is very lost. This is a whole lot of heaven and hell mumbo jumbo he does not understand, and his mind can’t really stop revolving around the save Grim??? aspect that is happening right now. Though he does flush in mild confusion when Lucifer makes reference to his relationship with Grim, because he makes it sound so important.
Swallowing hard he shifts Kit’s weight on his back, desperately wishing he was holding his ward in his arms properly so he could hug him right now. Piggybacks are a thing good in theory, but not very good in practice. Clearly.
“Papa -- Papa, did you hear -- ?”
Kit, almost instinctively knowing what Tar wants, sidles off his back and rounds to his front, grabbing his hands eagerly and shaking them. “Papa, gi’faza -- he’s going to wake Grimdad up --”
Hot tears sting at Kit’s eyes, but for the first time in awhile, they’re not sad. He flings his arms around Tar’s waist and hugs him, throwing all of his weight against the other. He laughs, the sound undercut by a soft sob of relief -- Grim was going to come back. He was going to be awake again. He and Tar would have their missing piece back.
Meanwhile, Cro, still holding his angel tight in his arms, is beginning to get caught up in the current of happiness going around and he grins. “Vwell, vwould you look at that, Kan,” he hums, “you get your brother back. And apparently you’re one of the strongest babes in existence, so like...”
He grins and wiggles his eyebrows. “Vwell, vwe could hawve fun vwith that, right?” He laughs a little and moves to press his face between Kankri’s shoulder-blades, huffing softly. “I’ll stick vwith you here, babe, but maybe you and I should hawve a little chat before vwe go discussing our relationship vwith Grim, yeah? I don’t vwant the guy to gut me or anything for touching his holy bro.”
{Festive Favors}
Lucifer inches closer to Tarkat’s side, trying to let his warmth radiate gently on Kit. He knows it probably isn’t much coming from someone he hardly knows, but he wants to try try at the very least. He can feel the fear coming off him and while it would usually be something he’d feed off of happily, coming from Kit it only made concern show in his eyes. Even though the smile never fell.
“Cronus, dear one. Please refrain from making my grandson uncomfortable. Otherwise I will be forced to be very cross with you.” he said simply, gently and very slowly placing a hand against Kit’s shoulder so he can see it coming and push it away if he wishes.
“Kenna…I know this may be a bit shocking. It was to me as well when I first discovered it. But…when you passed…your soul was split in half. You died in a horrid and sad way…Which is why Samael chose you. But. Grim poured so much love from his heart that night for you that heaven wanted you as well. And the result was your soul being ripped into two pieces…” he says gently, gaze slowly landing on Kenna with a soft apology in them.
“I’ve wanted to tell you for so long but…I was forbidden. And there are those even I can’t defy. There has never been a happening like you and Kankri here. Your power could be. So great. But also unpredictable. I’ve been testing and researching for so long and testifying on your behalf and. Finally I’ve been given permission to bring you two together for the first time. And with good reason. I promise this is not just some whim of mine.” he says firmly, voice becoming more serious as he looks at everyone in the room.
“I strongly believe…you both can save Grim. You can save your brother.” he says only after letting a bit of silence hang in the room. He does love his theatrics after all. He then smiles at Tar and Kit. “Merry Christmas Tar…Kit…I’m sorry it took me so long.”
“We’ve uh – met. Yeah, we’ve met,” Tar replies to Cronus a bit warily, not really sure where this meeting is going. Because he has met Kankri once before, and he recalls the confusion he’d experienced when he was then later gifted Kenna. Surely Grim can’t have two brothers with the same name? “And please refrain from assigning my ward nicknames, or I’ll show you my claws,” he adds, but the threat is rather light hearted, a playful warning but a warning nonetheless.
Shifting his attention away for a moment at the tension he feels coming from Kit, Tar shifts his weight as best he can in their current position. Hugging Kit isn’t really an option at the moment, considering his ward is on his back and his arms are occupied keeping him there, but he tries his best. Tips his head to the side and rubs it against his, chirping and whistling softly under his breath in a tone so quiet no one else could possibly here.
And – oh. Okay. There’s the explanation he’s never quite been given. That. Makes a lot of sense actually. And oops. Oops Kenna is tensing harder then he was before, pupils dilating as the hellhound tries desperately to process the information that has been so abruptly dumped on him. “I – that’s – he’s me?” He asks, voice starting out sharp but cracking into a shaky rasp. There’s no anger in his words, just shock and disbelief.
Tar winces, because he can only imagine the thoughts swirling in Kenna’s head. Kenna, who’s convinced himself so deeply that hell is all he deserves for his failures. To suddenly learn that some part of him had gone elsewhere –
Neither of them has time to think about it much further then that, because then Lucifer drops that bomb and their minds both veer directly off the track in order to plunge into the ocean.
“What what!?” They yelp in almost perfect unison, openly gaping at Lucifer. “Are you serious!?” Kenna’s the one to call that one out, on his own, because Tar’s brain has sort of short-circuited and he’s just staring dumbstruck at his father.
For a moment, Kit doesn’t understand the words being spoken around him. Hir fear has filled his ears with a buzzing, like a million of his matesprit’s little bees, and he can’t focus or comprehend anything happening.
And then a single sentence filters through the white noise, and his heart nearly stops.
Save Grim.
“Grimdad...?” Kit perks up, climbing up a little further on Tar’s back, looking at Lucifer with wide, hopeful eyes, leaking red tears onto silvery skin. “You can save him...? How...?”
“He’s the same as my matesprit? No vway. Mine is vway hotter,” Cronus comments idly, nuzzling his face into the side of Kankri’s cheek. And then Lucifer drops that bomb, the Grim one, and he tightens his grip on Kankri protectively.
“Yeah, howv?” he asks, suspicious but hopeful. “It vwon’t hurt either of them, vwill it?”
{Festive Favors}
“Oh don’t worry dear boy nothing bad is going to happen to h-” and he quickly is cut off by the arrival of one of the expected guests. With a soft sigh he stands tall, looking over at Cronus is gentle exasperation. “You could have given me a chance to do something cool. Like call out a code word or something. Now you’re the only one whose cool in this situation. How unfair.” he huffs, even as he grins excitedly.
The form behind Cronus shifts nervously, pushing closer to the male in front of him.
“Kenna…Meet. Well. You. Come on out dear boy…”
And with that Kankri peeks over Cronus’ shoulder, eyeing them all. He’s familiar with two of them…So he relaxes just slightly and his wings outstretch behind him.
“Hello….”
When Cronus first appears, Tar’s initial response is to tense up. Because it’s a sudden, unknown individual, and his first thought immediately flies to the worst possible solution even if the person that comes to mind has never appeared in such a fashion. Feet slamming against the ground he braces himself, shadows swirling around his form in full preparation to defend the ward clinging to his back.
Kenna doesn’t even flinch, blinking very calmly because he can recognize the smell of hell from a thousand miles away. Even if this person in particular is unfamiliar – is he? – he knows a servant of the fires, and is rather unimpressed with his flashy show.
“Oh. Cronus,” and then Tar realizes who it is, and the hostility instantly fades. Though his eyes narrow in slight warning at the nickname, because only one Cronus has permission to grant nicknames, but he lets it slide. “What are you – “
He breaks off sharply when Kankri’s face appears. Oh. Oh fuck. Beside him, he feels Kenna’s entire body stiffen.
The flames on his tail bristle, sparking violently as his ears flatten back. Because while he doesn’t know this individual, never seen him before, he feels a violent, sickening heat curl in his stomach at the mere sight of him. He tells himself it’s just because he’s an angel – that has to be it.
“Uh. Hi, Kankri,” Tar greets with a weak little wave, because he knows who this is, and suddenly he’s wondering just what exactly his lusus has planned.
“Vwhat can I say, Daddy? I got a little impatient,” Cronus drawls, flopping heavily against Kankri’s back, mindful of his wings, using his claws to drag down the collar of his sweater. “You know how I am...” He licks a strip up Kankri’s neck with a nasty grin, before letting his gaze drift over to Tar.
“Tarkat, meet my matesprit. The one I told you about before. He’s vwhat I’m doing here -- deliwvering him safe to my Daddy.”
Kit stares at them both in shocked awe, gaze darting between Kenna and Kankri, then up at Cronus. He tries to make himself even smaller than he is, hiding behind Tar and feeling a curl of disgust in his stomach. What is wrong with him? Why is he so -- so why, now? Why is he so... terrified?
His fang digs deeper into his lip, to the point blood begins to well up. He’s shaking. Physically shaking. How... pathetic.
“Don’t call me Kitten,” he rasps out, his tone scathing to the point it draws Cro’s gaze.
“Ouch. Kitties got clawvs.”
{Festive Favors}
He smiles down at Kenna in delight, kneeling down to hug him around the neck and humming softly.
“Oh hello my wonderful boy! How I’ve missed you! You know things seem so slow down there without you around to converse with. We must visit more oft-” he cuts off at Kit’s words, eyes darting to the door to Grim’s bedroom. Shit. He thought he had closed the door.
Quickly he stands, raising a hand and making the door very gently close before he looks at Kit once more.
“Of course…I apologize, I forgot to close the door behind me…” he says quietly, slowly walking over and very carefully looping an arm around both Tar and Kit. His embrace is warm, adoration washing off of him for them both. “Hello my darlings…” he breaths softly, gently pressing a kiss to Tar’s forehead and giving Kit’s hair a gentle pet.
“Alright! Before I get to the present part. Kenna. There is someone I think you should finally learn of. And luckily. He owed me a favor and has come to meet you. I’ll call him in here in just a moment, as you both are very important to the present being successful. But first I must ask of you to go into your reaper form. Otherwise this will hardly have the impact I’d love.”
At Kit’s words he struggles hard not to flinch, because he’s trying really hard not to think about that. While he has forced himself to become accepting of the state his mate is currently in, he does like to try and pretend that things are okay. Having his attention forcibly drawn to the fact it very much isn’t is a bit jarring, but he manages to refocus in time to hug Lucifer with a soft purr.
“Hello, dati. I’ve missed you,” he murmurs, keeping his voice softer now out of courtesy of Kit. Kenna also noticeably tones himself down, merely blinking at Lucifer in gentle confusion before nodding as he easily shifts to reaper form.
“The ‘finally learn of’ part sort of worries me a bit,” Kenna admits, trying to sound good natured and possibly failing.
Kit shifts a little closer and kisses Lucifer on the cheek shyly, his cheeks coloring a bright cherry. He nods with a little smile, then ducks back behind Tar’s back.
“What kind of impact are you hoping for, Gfaza? Is Kenna going to be okay...?”
And then suddenly there’s a sound like a crack of lightening that fills the room, accompanied by a swirl of black smoke and the smell of cigarettes and sex. Kit jolts hard and almost chokes holding back a small shriek of terror, clinging to Tar tight and desperate.
Meanwhile, the black smoke clears to reveal a half naked Cronus -- none they’ve met in person, not like this, but an incubus that knows both of them very well. He’s hiding someone behind his back, obviously keen on standing between them and everyone else.
“Think big, Kit-ten,” he drawls, the cigarette hanging from his grinning lips loosely. “Like a piano crashing down on him from the top of a building.”
He winks at Kit and Tar, then looks over at Lucifer.
“Sup, Daddy. I brought my angel to see you.”
{Festive Favors}
Lucifer gently brushes his fingertips over what is left of his Reapers cheek, a soft song drifting about them in a hum from his lips. He hates seeing him this way. So broken. And all because of restrictions placed on his children from a Father who cast him out. It made him sick to think about. The fact that those who chose to follow him could never truly be happy made his gut twist and burn as if Micheal’s sword had already run him through.
But. He had no time to think on that now. So after leaning down to gently press a kiss to the unconscious boys forehead, he stands and walks to the living room where he assumes Tar and the others will appear.
When they do he gives a wide grin and a bow, letting go of his cane which remains standing all on its own.
“Hello my sons. My grandson! So glad you could make it. May I give you an embrace in greeting? I only ask because I do not wish to make you uncomfortable!” he speaks softly, not wanting to make Kit uncomfortable.
“Hello dati!” Tar greets with a bright smile, forcefully crushing down the painful fire that sparks in his stomach upon entering this hive. It’s hard to be here these days, too many hurtful things attached to it, but he’s grown used to forcing the feelings down. So he keeps the grin plastered on his face because he doesn’t know what else to do.
Kenna is a lot more enthused to greet him, having sort of numbed himself to the concept of pain a long time ago. So he enthusiastically bounds up to greet Lucifer, tail wagging and tongue lolling. “Hello father! It is so nice to see you again!” He barks, whole body waggling like a puppy.
Tar shoots Kenna an amused look, then blinks at Lucifer’s request. “Uh – I’d be okay with it! Kitkat – ?”
“I --”
Kit hesitates. Not because he’s scared of Lucifer or anything, but... his gaze drifts past him to Grim’s body on the bed and he flinches, lowering his gaze to the floor.
“...Can you come over here and hug me?” he asks softly. “I don’t want to disturb Dati while he sleeps.” He feels a little suffocated, and digs his fang into his lip carefully to scare away the emotional pain with a bit of physical pain.
{Festive Favors}
“Well you’d be coming regardless of whether or not he asked me to bring you, no way in heck I’m leaving you here,” Tar states firmly, wasting no time turning around in order to hook his arms under Kit’s legs and hoist his ward onto his back with ease. “I’m not going anywhere without you for a long time.”
Turning his attention to Kenna he blinks, reaching out ruffle the hounds head. “No riding on Kenna’s back. Ever. Extended contact with him might scorch your thighs, and that’d be awful.” Giving a small nod he smiles, coaxing Shadow to unfurl around them.
“Alright, hold tight! We’re heading out!” He purrs, and then the blackness takes them, unfurling in a whirl as they touch down on the familiar ground of Grim’s hive.
“Dati! We’re here!”
“Good,” Kit purrs softly, wrapping his legs around Tar’s waist and arms around Tar’s neck. He nuzzles his face into the back of his hair and hums in gentle, sincere appreciation.
The shift in atmosphere doesn’t affect him, not this close to Tar. He blinks and looks around when Tar announces himself, and he smiles shyly at Lucifer when his gaze lands on him.
“Hi G’faza,” he chirps softly. Buries his face in Tar’s neck out of shyness.
{Festive Favors}
“Hey Kitkat, looks like we’re going out today,” Tar informs his ward cheerfully, taking a short break from the laptop in order to nuzzle him enthusiastically. Pepper his face in kisses some. Get momentarily distracted. Wait, right, lusus. “Dati wants us to head over to Grim’s place, he’s got a present for me. And apparently we need Kenna?”
He pauses, considering a moment, listening intently. Then he reaches up and knocks gently on the closet door, earning a slightly startled “wuff!” in reply. Yep, he totally had heard those flames crackling outside. “Kenna, we’re going to visit lusus!” He calls through the door, sitting up with a satisfied hum.
A moment later a blue nose is nudging the door open, the hound blinking at them curiously as he tips his head to the side. “All three of us?”
“Apparently!” Tar grins brightly as he rolls out of the closet, Kenna backing away to permit his master passage.
“Why am I coming if the present is for you? For that matter, why is Kenna?” Kit asks, blinking slightly in surprise.
He grabs Tar’s arm and pulls himself up, flopping against him heavily with loud purr. He nuzzles his face into Tar’s chest and nips gently at his chest through his shirt. “Whatever g’faza wants I guess? Can I ride on your back? If not, can I ride on Kenna’s back?”
He reaches up to mess Tar’s hair. “Thank you for taking me, by the way. I appreciate it... I’m just not ready to be alone again yet.”
=> Whine in soft protest to the request but blink open sleepy eyes anyway.
“Which one? I have like – twelven.”
=> Math is hard.
“Grim’s dati.”
=> Poke his cheek playfully and kiss him gently on the nose, your lips curving in a small smile.
“Come on, wake up. He’s right on the dash, wake up.”
=> Kit, roll over and nuzzle your lusus awake.
“Papa~ your lusus wants you~ wake up~!”
Yes please.
ALRIGHT G’FAZA, HOLD ON JUST ONE MOMENT.
