I recently started replaying Final Fantasy VII and as you may remember, there’s the whole plotline of Cloud having to dress up to infiltrate Don Corneo’s mansion. Inspired by this, I initially started out drawing Cloud fan art but it later evolved into something else. So here’s vaguely reminiscent but not exactly fan art of that, but not... but sort of yes.

One of my favorite artists on Instagram, @asurelle posted a #drawthisinyourstyle challenge last week 💜 I'm not even sure what my style is, but it was rewarding to work towards something that could be called just that. Maybe I'm a few steps closer. The end result is an attempt to strike a balance between her style, what I am capable of at this point, and trying out random ideas (like the dress, for instance) without drifting too far from the original.
