Going off of my headcanon list of other types of outcasts
I wanted to expand on the Hundwere, a wolf that has the ability to turn into a human. Ever since I posted my list, I’ve been fixating more and more on this particular idea

it really annoys and upsets me when i see claims that isaac is a victim of grooming by francoise because in the timeline of the series he is 17 years old and she is 47, it seems that people don't think at all when they start analyzing this topic
because when they first meet, they both already act like such weird behavior is normal and familiar to them. It is implied that this dynamic has been fixed between them in the past.
and in the past isaac was her older brother, who had her only chance to become a normie in his hands
and he's her older brother still. she clearly perceives him this way, trusting him with her well-being and allowing herself to depend on him in the same way as in the past
isaac needed to convince her in sufficient detail that he's really alive and remembered their past, so that she relented and lowered the gun. although he remains at the same age at which he died and has regenerated enough for her to remember him
since her youth, francoise aspired to a life with normals and tried to separate herself from her family, which strictly encouraged only ties with outcasts, whereas isaac is quite conservative in this regard, just like their father. their family seems to have been quite private, or it's just isaac is a sociopath..
btw after isaac's death she maintained a good relationship with morticia, who was literally directly involved in this. she wasn't heartbroken: she married donovan and had a baby and looked really happy in her new family. she's not as attached to isaac as he is to her
she also pressured him to shift the focus of the rescue from her to tyler, and he is clearly reluctant to do so until the very end. her new family is more important to her than her old one, and isaac, in turn, does not understand her sacrifice for the sake of someone else. in his paradigm, they are the only thing that matters to each other
in the finale isaac talks about francoise as the only person he really loved, while francoise just sacrificed her life a minute earlier thinking about her son, not isaac.
she definitely wasn't the one who groomed her sibling
capri says that when a hyde loses its owner, it weakens, suffers, and soon dies. for female hydes this process is longer than in males, but this is exactly what we see in the example of francoise.
im thinking more and more that isaac could have been her master. he have seen her transformations but was untouched, and it was after her death that francoise's condition began to get worse and more uncontrollable. and she's being so damn passive towards him, which is in contrast to her domineering treatment of tyler...
In season one, they say that you unlock a Hyde by doing something traumatic to them
Isaac says the first time Francoise transformed, it was because their dad slapped her. I think that means their abusive dad was her master. I’ve wondered if this is another reason why she wanted to be a normie, so she wouldn’t be tired to their father anymore

Or maybe being constantly bedridden for months (or years) and probably only socializing with adults (your parents, doctors, and nurses), and not being able to socialize with kids your own age besides your sister would make you socially awkward once you were able to interact with your peers.
And Isaac was ambitious before the clockwork heart. Ajax even says so!

This boy stared imminent death in the face, and designed his own salvation. Then when he was healthy, he made good on those machines, or tried to!

Personal headcanons for other types of outcasts:
Marksmen: (inspired by Diego Hargreeves) Can hit any target with any weapon/throwable object
Felidae: can control and communicate with cats and other feline species
Lupine: can control and communicate with dogs and other canine species, including werewolves. Nevermore headmasters/principals are reluctant to accept Lupines out of respect for the werewolves
Hundwere: opposite of a werewolf. A wolf that can turn into a human
I don’t know whether I want to call this type of outcast a Bard or a Mozart: have a deep and complete understanding and control of music. Can play any instrument proficiently after taking a few minutes to figure out where the notes/fingerings are. Can play/sing any song/piece after hearing it once. Can project emotions through sound. If I went with calling them Mozarts, then those born deaf/HOH would be jokingly referred to as Beethovens
I fully believe that adding at least one extra Spark would have made Isaac’s machine work without killing Gomez. There’d be double the power with half the load on each Spark.
Gomez mentions in s1 that Fester would periodically drop in on him at school.
There’s no way this didn’t happen at least once in Isaac’s presence. And therefore there’s no way he didn’t know that Fester was also a Spark like Gomez.
So, if the idiot had just designed the machine for more than one Spark, and asked Gomez to contact Fester, then Francoise would have been cured, Gomez would have been fine with his ability intact, and Isaac would have lived.
The only downside to this is that Thing would never have come into existence in this scenario. But maybe we can think of a way for him to lose his hand anyway

I think Slurp/Isaac was more “with it” in the beginning than he was letting on, so he stands there and listens as you talk

Reader is a DaVinci, Isaac’s girlfriend or maybe just Francoise’s bestie and helping out. Whatever.
Reader realizes the machine will kill Gomez if they go through with it
Reader tells Isaac “Hey, Gomez mentioned he has a brother with the same ability. Maybe he can get in contact with Fester”. That way, they have double the power and halve the load on Gomez.
Gomez gets in touch with Fester. Fester shows up because man is HAPPY to get electrocuted at any opportunity.
They go through with the plan. It works. Francoise is cured and both Gomez and Fester live to see another day, powers intact
I’m just so surprised that Isaac agreed to save Tyler instead of Francoise
