I copped that classic CK jeans tee - throw me some outfit suggestions, please. I I feel like I've done crisp white shirt with denim and white slip on vans to death.

Wear it over a slim skirt, like a 3/4 length knit skirt. I like to wear tshirts over more fitted dresses. Try that. I mean, it’s a tshirt, you can pretty much wear it with anything.

Hey Katherine, I am creative directing a photoshoot in a few weeks but am pretty green - do you have any tips on how much information I need to give the models prior the shoot? I know what direction and feel I want to go in but not sure how much structure I should put in place. Do you usually give models a run down of the vibe you are going for or a moodboard/ key concepts etc or do you just freestyle and see what happens on the day? Thanks heaps for words of wisdom haha

Hey, okay well I give the models all the information that you would usually have on a call sheet, I usually send the agency a mood board or an idea of what is going to happen. On the day I kind of let the models do their thing but if I want something in particular I’ll just tell them. It’s not uncommon for me to be standing there in a weird pose and saying things like ‘imagine you’re the most popular girl in school! but you’re also trying to fit in this tiny box, so you’re bent down, but you’re also sort of angry, but don’t frown!’. I kind of feel sorry for them now that I think about it.

How are you finding the Nike Training App workouts? Are they doing anything for you? I want to tone up and it seems like a good all-in-one system for that? Plus cardio blah blah. I just like having everything in one place haha. Plz help. :D

I don’t know when this got sent because I’ve been off Tumblr for ages, but I started them maybe 8 weeks ago now, and in conjunction with barre classes and a couple of other things, I’ve noticed tone in my arms and my stomach. That being said, for 6 weeks of that I was doing exercise like 5-6 times a week whereas I would normally not. I do think the app is pretty good though - if you learn a few of the exercises so you don’t have to keep stopping to look up how to do them, it can get really good. Also you can do it in your lounge. You only have to do 30 minutes and the next day your muscles are aching. I would say if you did 5 different ones a week you would likely see a change in your body.

where would you suggest getting affordable denim shorts?

This is too broad for me able to answer accurately. Depends what your definition of affordable is, and what style of denim short you want - they’re pretty prevalent, I would say you could go anywhere from ASOS to Glassons to Farmers to Country Road and you’d be able to find a pair of denim shorts. (Maybe not right now though because it’s winter.)

Hey just wondering how you run with a iPhone 6? Do you happen to know if there are work out clothes that accommodate it in a pocket apart from those Nike tights you mentioned on your blog? TIA

Okay so this is actually something I should blog about because it is SO ANNOYING TO NOT HAVE A POCKET IN YOUR TIGHTS THAT FITS YOUR PHONE IN IT. Sometimes I carry it which I find kind of risky because I have smashed my phone that way before, but mostly I just wear those Nike running tights. I’m not sure what other brands do a big enough pocket... Alternatively you could put one of those arm band things on?

Where can I get Adidas superstars in nz or Australia? Also in smaller size men's 3-4?

hey Katherine, long time fan here! Love your blog. I was just wondering if you could tell me your thoughts on Nars Sheer Glow Foundation? Im looking for a really natural looking foundation and thought this might be a good option. Do you use a primer with it? Do you set it with powder? Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the kind words. I’ve used Nars Sheer Glow for almost a year now, I think it’s pretty great, I find it easier to apply with a brush because I’m not good at makeup, I don’t know, I got sold on some brush which makes it really easy to ‘buff on’ or whatever the right term is. I don’t set it with powder usually, sometimes I wear a primer.

I stayed at The Standard West Hollywood for a couple of nights. It was good, I mean, kind of noisy but it did the job and there was a pool. I haven't really stayed anywhere else in LA but I hear The Ace is great.

How many items of clothing would you say you purchase a year? And what would be a splurge for you?

No idea. A splurge is anything that I spend a lot of money on, whether I have the funds or not. I mean, relative to what the item is (ie. expensive underwear is generally not as expensive as expensive shoes).
