"It’s not disapproval, Rachel. I just… You were on Broadway. You were Fanny Brice. You got your dream. And you let it go. You were supposed to be the successful one, not the one that comes back home after they didn’t make it. I’m disappointed, that’s all.”
"I'm sorry I disappointed you, Quinn."
"And surely you're not the only one feeling like that as I have been receiving several displeased looks during the past few weeks but I have came to the conclusion - and I'm sure you'll agree with me - that one does not live to fulfill the hopes or expectations of another person. That being said, I would like to say that I don't see how taking a different path from originally planned suddenly makes me not 'successful'. I'm not a failure, Quinn. I went there and I made it. Then, I realized it wasn't what I wanted and I'm currently trying to figure it out. You mat not agree with that but you shall respect my choices."
"Oh, so you know what I’m thinking better than I do? That’s rich.”
"While I'm incredibly proud of my talent to read people and do believe that I know you better than the majority of our friends, I wouldn't go this far. I don't know what you're thinking better than you but I have a sixth sense that never fails. Also, I'll have you know that you aren't that subtly, Quinn. You think that coming back to Ohio and helping those kids is a terrible mistake. Alright. See? I can take the expression of disapproval now without feeling the urge to storm out even though I strongly disagree with that."
[ open ]
"That’s not what I meant and you know it. Stop trying to pick a fight with me.”
I'm not trying to pick a fight, Quinn. I'm not even mad that you said that, I just don't understand why you're lying to me and pretending you meant something else when we both know you didn't.

Why not? Small talk makes the world go ‘round.
Fine, fine. I’ll just have you know that the last person I was with almost fell and hit their head on the metal faucet when they were drunk.
Poor vocabulary also makes the world go ‘round. A bottle and a half of wine? What’s its alcohol content?
You’re too innocent for that. Every time you’re sarcastic, I feel like patting you on the head and giving you a cookie.
I’m still the best. I just need to a couple hours to remember that.
Oh no, that wasn't an invite to discuss deep philosophical questions either.
By 'I was with' do you mean the last person you dated or? I'm confused. And everything is moving. I'm sorry if I make any typos and make it hard for you to get it.
It is only 21%.
Am I a fucking puppy now?
You were never the best. I said you were the second, I'm the best.

Into the Woods. I hear everyone’s going to see that, but I can’t say it’s ever appealed to the me. Annie, though—now that’s a different story. Alex? Alex Wreath?
You should probably leave her a text, yeah. And I agree with Brittany—you shouldn’t drink while in the bath. It’ll only end badly.
I’m beginning to think you don’t understand the concept of sarcasm.
Well, you’re—..more of a nerd. #comebacks
We're not discussing movies, or any art related project. I know how it ends and tonight is not about it.
It is bath not a pool, for God's sake. I'll eventually come out of here, you know, when the water gets cold and stuff.
I use of poor vocabulary to communicate after one and a half bottle of wine. Oh well.
Why it never occurs to you and Sanny that maybe, just maybe I'm saying it sarcastically as well?
Answering sarcastically to the sarcasm... it is like the sarcasmception, yo.
You used to be the second best at comebacks, what happened to you?

It’s in the ten commandments, Rachel. You can’t argue with the ten commandments. I hate the process. Gulping down the alcohol, feeling sick, burning your throat—not for me. Hopefully. I’m more into actually being drunk, myself.
Fine, if we’re making this into a competition, how many missed texts do you have?
You have a manager, Rachel. Yours are interesting. Mine are just from Mike and a girl from the office. I skipped out on a company party, and I’m sure she’s just wondering why I’m not there. Are you planning to call any of your people back?
Excuse you. I have a wonderful taste in music. Just because I’m not into the wonderful musical stylings of Barbra Streisand, that doesn’t mean my taste isn’t brilliant.
The Beatles just don’t cut it.
I think it’d be harder; but I do like the way they talk.
I have a Tony, I can do whatever.
Three. One from Brittany 'Rach, pls answer. San said you were taking a bath while drinking and last time Mr. Duck did that he almost drowned.' One from dads 'Hey baby girl, we just wanted to let you know that we're bailing on Harry Potter marathon at Sunday night because your daddy got us tickets to watch Into the Woods, love dad.' And one from Alex, The Asshole 'Do you have any idea how hard is to be your manager, Rachel?'
It seems like I have to call Brittany before she calls the cops or something.
At least you admit that Barbra is amazing, that makes it a little better.
You're such a nerd.

I see you still take he Lord’s name in vain. I think it’s a twenties thing. Drinking’s fun, don’t you think? Well… maybe not the process.
I have three missed calls and I’m not remotely interested in calling anyone back.
Well, I meant that as sarcasm, but I’ll take what I can get.
I’ve never been particularly fond of the Beatles, if we’re being honest.
I feel strange. It’s like I’m in the 16th century.
I see you still ignore the fact that I am Jewish. My lord is cooler than yours and let me call him whenever :p. What are you even talking about? The process is the best part. The next day, though... I like to think that I'm slowly getting used to this; perhaps in a few months hangover won't be a thing in my life.
I have eleven. I win.
I bet the people who are calling you are far more interesting, though. I have five from my manager, two from my dads, three from Brittany and one from this guy who is working the production of my album. I shall never let people have access to my phone; it would give away that I'm the most boring and lonely person ever.
Everyone thinks I'm an amazing singer, you can say it. I won't read too much into it. You like my voice? So what? Anyone who has ears falls in love with it.
I have always thought that your taste in music is doubtful as regards qualit.
Do you think it would be easier if we were in the 16th century?
PM || heroes!faberry
I’m not quite sure who we’re talking about at the moment, but I’m almost certain I don’t care. Let loose, Rachel. We’re both adults here, and we know our limits.
That would be rather sad, but I know it won’t happen. You’ve always had an amazing voice, and besides—I’m sure you’ve improved a bit since My Headband.
Woah. Someone hate’s Yoko Ono.
Quinn Fabray telling me to 'let loose'. The world is really turning upside down, lord. I thought it was happening just in my bathroom.
This is the second time you say something nice about me, I am about to demand a Skype session so you can prove you're really Quinn.
One does not simply cause the most perfect band ever to break up without getting hate.
PM || heroes!faberry
Fine, fine. I know I’m going to regret this in the morning, but I might as well have a little bit more.
Does it? Now I’m kind of curious. You should play it for me one day.
That’s very depressing, Rachel. At the same time, though, animals don’t have the free will that we possess. They act on instinct; so I don’t think they’re quite aware of any of that.
I’m not much of a cow person, anyway.
You could. I’m sure all the harmonious hippie tree-hugger vegans would love you, Yoko Ono.
Excuse me? I did not tell you to drink more. I wouldn't encourage another human being to intoxicate themselves like I'm doing right now... even if said human being is the kind of person who apparently get ten times cooler and relaxed once she has alcohol in her system.
Believe me, you don't' want to listen to that. But buy my CD anyway, I need all the help people can offer. Wouldn't it be sad if mt fans decided that I'm only good at singing covers?
Yet, they should have a choice, it is simply so unfair.
Great, now I'm crying.
Oh please, don't compare Rachel Barbra Berry with that bitch.
PM || heroes!faberry
my spelling was perfect, thank you very much.
i can keep a secret. you’re drinking, though? i never thought i’d see the day when rachel barbra berry would be so cavalier about alcohol. how does the song sound so far?
Please, as someone who is clearly the Goddess of Perfection's daughter I truly believe I would recognize perfection when I saw it.
My opinions about proper grammar usage haven't changed so I'll have you know that reading your messages right now is a bit unnerving.
Sounds like the start of a storm, if I'm being honest.
Cows are really nice, though, don't you think? I mean, they give milk to humans, and you don't see them complaining and being like 'hey, that's my kids milk you're getting there, yo'. Humans also take their babies, yet you don't hear a word from a cow. Then, if it wasn't enough, they also take their lives, silencing the already so quiet cows forever.
I should write a musical about cows, to be honest.

siennaknight said: i’ve always like your name, yes. very beautiful. What makes you think I’m drunk?
My dads are awesome parents, what can I say? Your spelling, obviously.
I finished my bottle and started a new one because I really need to come up with the last part of this music I''m writing and alcohol helps. Don't tell that to my parents, though. Can you keep a secret?
[text] raccheeellll. hello.
I stared at my name written like that for a few minutes and thought two things: one, you're drunk; two, my name is beautiful.
As nice as your words of wisdom are and as much as I’d like to be the bigger person, sometimes all you really want to do is punch a person in the face and call it a day—priorities be damned.
None of that matters, though. The budgets have been finalized, my day is finally over, and I don’t know about you, but I’m going to spend the rest of the night nursing a bottle of wine.
I actually have done that. Well, not exactly that, I threw my drink at my co-star during a party we both didn't want to go but had too. Obviously, such an unfortunate decision wasn't made solely because of that- as much as I try to live up to my drama queen reputation every once in a while, I am glad to say that I outgrew that. Regardless, I can assure you he deserved it and I wouldn't regret it not a little bit if it wasn't for the fact that Rachel Berry is now known as some sort of who hates men.
You know, my younger self would certainly disapprove it and say that drinking without supervision is extremely unwise... then she would also tell me she's deeply disappointed because I have had half a bottle already.
… Ri-ght. Right.
I… Yes. While I’d say the majority of high school doesn’t exactly prepare you for future confrontations, it’s done enough to teach me patience. You wouldn’t want to cause a PR problem or lose potential business, after all. If only there were a way to tell someone exactly what you think of them without the negative backlash—or to at least tell them how to chew with their mouth closed.
I have learned an important lesson with the cast of my first musical. They were all experienced and, while the fact that I was the female lead caused drama at first, they helped me to deal with circumstances like that. I have been preparing myself to the disadvantages of being a public person since I was eleven, but unfortunately it seems like you are never fully prepared.
Perhaps the solution for this problem is try to be more tolerate, or keep reminding yourself that it is not a perfect situation, but is worth it. Adult life is about priorities, anyway.
You never realize just how much you dislike a person until you’re forced to spend three hours with them finalizing quarterly budgets and watching them pick sushi out of their adult braces.
Or when you are forced to attend parties and social events with them. And there are always photographers taking pictures so you need to have your best smile on. I am immensely grateful to my younger self for preparing us for this, though, because while I truly dislike it, is is something I am used to.

"I’m not telling you where we’re going and stop trying to peek over the blindfold. I thought you were turning 20, not five.”
"It is my birthday, therefore I am allowed to do whatever I want and I am curious, okay? Are we even close to whenever we are going to, anyway?"
