I genuinely think Good Omens should've stayed a limited series covering the story of the book only.

I didn't really care for s2 and I'm only watching the finale because I already got this far, but tbh everything post s1 just feels like fanfic and not actually canon to me. Like, the story of the book/s1 was an interesting and perfectly self-contained story that delivered it's message beautifully and it really didn't require a continuation. The plot of s2 in comparison felt very generic and predictable to me.

Everything that made the show special and not like anything I'd ever seen before wasn't there anymore in s2. And like, obviously it was always mainly Crowley and Aziraphale's story but I feel like all the other characters, especially Anathema and Adam, added a lot to it and it's just not the same without them. Nina and Maggie were nice, yes, but they didn't really do much. Idk. I'm not in the fandom so idk how much of an unpopular opinion this is but yeah, I didn't love s2 and I needed to talk about this because I'm sad that the show dragged just to end this way when the ending of s1 was already perfect.

I love watching S3 reactions on youtube, I get so much joy from seeing people absolutely lose their shit when the dream sequence comes up and they just immediately assume that it's Penelope who's dreaming but THEN there comes that lifechanging shot of Colin waking up panting and looking ready to khs because it was, in fact, a dream and therefore not real
