Started off with one and finished with four. I hope you all enjoy these lovelies as much as I enjoyed working on them. A while ago I worked on a dress but scrapped the project because I couldn’t get the skirt/hem data quite right. Genuinely proud of myself for this small set. Working on the hems still gave me issues this time around, but I did the best I could with what I’ve learned since and WOW. 😁

The land feels fuller lately. Not louder-just more aware of us. Like it’s been paying attention.

We made a few updates to the house this week. Kent carved out another section for gardening, and we added bees to the land. I didn’t expect how comforting their presence would be, but now their low hum feels like a signal that we’re doing something right. That growth doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it just settles in.

We got married here too. No aisle. No crowd. Just the land beneath our feet and two friends standing close enough to feel like witnesses instead of guests. I was nervous-not because it didn’t feel right, but because it did. The kind of right that asks you to stay.

We were caught up afterward. Too caught up. A few days later, I stood in the bathroom staring at a truth I wasn’t prepared for, laughing before the tears came. Pregnant. Already. Life has never been interested in waiting for readiness.

Kent is thinking carefully now. About money. About strain. About how a child changes everything. I hear him. Still, I’ve started imagining sheep-just a few. He sees risk. I see the way the land keeps offering us more, if we’re brave enough to accept it.

For now, we’re here. Married. Expecting. Learning how to grow food, hold fear, and trust what we’re building with our hands.

What shifted this week: A marriage. A pregnancy. The beginning of worry and hope.

I don’t know what comes next. But when I listen closely, it feels like the land already does.

IIIIIII don't know what this is or why I was so compelled to make it or how I ended up posting it on Groundhog Day. I guess you could say some of the coldest places in the northern hemisphere are on my mind of late. 😕

I wanted to use flamethrower mod + TOOL to transform the Yukimatsu neighborhood in Mt. Komorebi into a teeny tiny town somewhere above the simarctic circle, and use underworlds to make it polar night and... I did it? I mean, I guess I never finished the town (all the hiking and rock climbing areas to the west of the ski lift just kinda got filled in with supersized snowdrifts and called good) and I wanted to use eco hacks to have an aurora in the sky but it turns out this one special perma-snow neighborhood doesn't have an eco footprint so it's one of the few places you can't see an aurora? make it make sense

Anyway, I kinda lost steam on the bigness of this (teeny tiny) town somewhere between filling the stepped hillside with suitable deco homes and several attempts at rebuilding the (required) Onsen bathhouse lot (first as a community center, and then, after researching natural hot springs in Canada, as a hot spring again). And as winter settled in here in earnest, my interests shifted from creating my own little permafrost world in the Sims to crocheting hats and mittens and dog sweaters for my family. (Go figure!)

And now, all of a sudden it is February! The end of polar night is already upon us, and what was at one time envisioned as a winter solstice or New Year's post has just been collecting dust in my drafts bin. I did not want to miss the opportunity to post this message of hope and togetherness entirely this year so I guess here is just a little taste of a project I hope to return to someday!
