Taming Demons for Beginners by Annette Marie book review
Taming Demons for Beginners by Annette Marie - Book Review
I’ll start by saying I have loved every book by Annette Marie I’ve gotten my hands on. She creates worlds and characters that you can’t help but be enraptured by. Every character - even ones in passing/side characters - clearly have a past/back story that adds to the overall depth and roundness of their presence. Annette Marie combines hilariously wholesome moments and shocking supernatural action for a wonderfully written story every time. I always want more and binge each of her series with equal rapture.
As for Taming Demons for Beginners specifically, I must say this is now among my most-loved books (although there are many, they all hold a dear place in my heart). I laughed aloud multiple times and NEEDED to share those moments because of how great they were. *Minor spoiler* (but not really) imagine a DEMON pegging you between the eyes with a COOKIE. The cookies make regular appearances and references in this series and I am all for it. Taming Demons for Beginners is about Robin, a book nerd who loves baking, who gets sucked into the world of contracting demons. I was so here for her character growth. I absolutely love Robin and Zylas’ dynamic and will follow them wherever their journey leads.
This is a MUST READ for anyone who enjoys urban supernatural fantasy.
