You have no right to talk about Darkness. | cap by t-o-k-i-d-o-k-i
Sitting comfortably facing a warm hearth, if he kept only the tree roots in view it could be as if he were anywhere else. Back supported, arms relaxed, free for the last of his days, the elder could be young again in the back of his eyelids. Swimming in memories only sufficed to carry over into his new world however and a fierce anger creased his brow at the weakness. He was dying a slow, purposeful death and that was his reality in this place.
So as the pitter-patter of little fools passed above he waited for their target being surrounded as malevolent energy gathered in the boy.
One, two- three, four- five, six…
A small burst of his own chakra poured into ear allowing one decrepit claw through the thick earth to catch a skinny ankle. Seizing him, great strength of force dragged the younger into the pit.
There he was, waiting to commit this horrible act. Ready to burn all of these people to ash. Anticipation set his senses alight amidst the icy rainfall. It was a jarring cold against the growing internal flame. Sickening.
A ripple of adrenaline erupted from his leg below jolting attention downward. There was no need for a rubbing of the eyes or attributing such sensations to a gathered sickness. This genetic gift did not lie, and mistaking such a powerful hold would be even difficult for one with dementia. Unexpected would not even begin to describe the sensation that was of a disembodied hand clasping ahold of him.
Before even retaliation against the fist could be enacted, an action much like that of a horror novel was enacted. Down into the earth the boy was swallowed, jolting a debilitating panic throughout. It had been an action so quick and so powerful that stopping the scene in place would have required the bending of time and space. Eyes shut tight in anticipation of the dirt and rock below.
There was a space below the earth and it had not been some mythical fiery pit in which he'd been dragged either. When ground had been met, it was pent up action that had made a yank for his own ankle back from whatever had lain vice around it. Sharingan flicked open, ill-prepared and without calm. And what had been revealed but a face that had calculated the map of time itself illuminated by steady flame. And for a moment, it was considered that he had, in fact, ceased existing.
Who in the hell was this figure? For what purpose was he here, or himself for that matter? What of that inhuman strength? Questions innumerable swam without direction within a mind spiraling far too quickly to ponder. Only create.
Throat felt heavy with unplaced thoughts, sore equally from his heart's strained leap. Dumbfounded, wide eyed, and not without a growing sense of anger, the young Uchiha could only stare in silence."..."
And perhaps he should have also considered himself lucky for the decrepit ancient had not yanked on the injured leg, or even that it had not been a member of that shinobi squad, but it would be very unlike him to think of himself as such even within better circumstance.
"Those loved ones could be around you again and not in death," sharply similar eyes fixed onto the younger Uchiha, he was no older than himself at the age of political power. This one was far from any sort of decision that could be discerned, he was completely a youth as of yet, "Vengeance has gone sour, wouldn't it be nice if the hatred of your clan was eradicated?"
Offput and still far from unthreatened, a furrowed brow came about the glare. There was no patience to be had for long-winded games. Orochimaru liked to play them too, and Sasuke had none of that.
He was willing to hear this man out before violence would commence and, that was enough.
"Explain yourself."
The lightening had an advantage within this downpour. But even with such weather working within his favor, only so much could be done against a heavily-filled squad of top shinobi. One person, no matter how strong, could not hope to take them all down himself. And a child, no less. Yet, it was attempted all the same. With Itachi's power, he was surely fighting as two instead of one. This would prove foolish. A hashed up calve could attest to that. It was a miracle that more had not occurred but, death would surely be on the progressors' minds as they followed.
Those fools were getting closer, and this was no surprise. Just how fast could Sasuke propel himself with a leg so damaged? Certainly this poor group must have been more renound for skills lying in areas other than speed. Much like stalking an animal already hit with the killing blow, they must think. For a civilian, the boy was moving fast. For a ninja? Genin level at best. It was lucky enough that ice cold rain had brought about an unfeeling to the injury, but weakness resided upon it regardless.
Hitches interrupted in the steady pour. They would be upon him any moment now. Feet twisted from where they stood. Those dotted red eyes swirled and twisted into a dangerous ornate visage, not unlike the poisonous beauty of a deadly spider-or a snake. The Uchiha Clan would not be ending here today.
He'd rather these people burn.
"Bang bang, I shot you down" “Bang bang, you hit the ground” “Bang bang, that awful sound” “Bang bang, I used to shoot you down”

Dez blinked her grey eyes at his silence, although the curt nod was a greeting. She could tell right away that he was definitely more of a quiet individual. She didn’t think there was anything wrong with it, it was just harder for her to get along with quiet individuals.
Dez thought about his question for a few moments before shaking her head. “No. I can’t say I have.” She replied softly. “I’ll let you know if I do see anyone like that.”
She was a tad bit curious as to why the stranger before her wanted to know about such individuals, but mostly she just felt bad that she wasn’t able to help out.
"I see."
Well if she haden't had any information of use to him, then this conversation had run its course.
That answer had offered nothing conclusive as far as determining whether or not a member of this infantry had indeed headed this way. It was not what was being hoped to hear, but hardly a surprise in itself either.
With seemingly no reason left to say, Sasuke proceeded to step along. Daylight was wasting away. In fact, it was becoming rather dark already. Where in these minutes had the sun receded? Perhaps he should have, taken this moment to garner directions to the girl's village of residence for the night. And only on the thought of food did his stomach decide to remind him of its lack of meal.
From over an haughty shoulder, the stoic Uchiha gave call. "Then tell me this. Where is the closest village from here?"
"SAASUKEEEEEEH!"
"Tch... Idiot."
"Wouldn't be nice to be with your family again, to be among the clan that helped raise you at a young age?" a wry murmur rolled from the ancient clansmen of the boy, "To finally have a nice talk with that interesting elder brother?"
Burning red erupted from blackened eyes.
"..."
Sheltered rage bit at his insides. How dare he be threatened with such things. How dare this relic speak of Sasuke's slaughtered clansmen. His family. His brother. Though in technicality, it was blood through and through. But as far as was concerned, Madara was not of Uchiha anymore and haden't been for a very long time.
" H-Hello Saskue" Hinata said shyly. As usual, the Hyuga was shy. Even though she didn't show it she was glad to see the Uchiha. A small smile spreading across her lips.
Attention placed upon her. It couldn't be fathomed as to why the Hyuuga girl was addressing him so pleasantly, or rather, at all. He wasn't intently curious, but still just so. They haden't exchanged more than a word before this.

"Oh, hello there." Dez greeted with a faint smile.
Answers to these sorts of things usually came in silences. However, there was an air of acknowledgement in the faintest of nods. That was kind for him. Often there would be neglect of the greeting process entirely. Why should he show niceties? Why should he care? But said niceties had their purpose and so much as a little push of the head could mean the difference between assistance and obstruction on the other end.
"Has anyone bearing a black cloak with red clouds passed through here?" That was an aweful lot of words to say on his own. It's a surprise he didn't get winded from sheer misuse. Were his band of obnoxious misfits accompanying him, they'd most likely continue upon their task of addressing the strangers for him.
Declaring 'Akatsuki' wasen't always so helpful. The word could quiet people right up; other times it couldn't shut them up. With the collection of criminals reaching infamous, even civilians knew of its existence. The name itself was a trigger in either respect.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?
"Stop wasting my time."
Arrogance: that was a quality the young Uchiha heir had by the mouthful and, there was no fear in flashing it around by its very tail. He had no interest in discussing this sort of thing-with a stranger of all things. There were much better things to be doing with these precious seconds.
