“iamilonatepes and thefatherofthenight are one of my favorite Dracula ships, ever. They’re one of the few to actually ship Dracula with one of his real-life wives instead of fictional characters. They bring so much dynamic to pairing, especially for Ilona since history does not tell much about her personal life. It makes Vlad so much more human, too. The tender moments they have are so precious that it makes me sad to see that neither muns are that active anymore. I hope they come back someday!”

Her face revealed her stricken by the ideas he introduced. “Prince, it is ever my only desire that you be pleased by my hand. I mean to make you most happy. Only forgive me for my melancholy, my lord. It is a weakness, I know, but one earned in your absence.” Her arms wound around his back, his touch bringing life for what felt like the first time in so many weeks. She meant to lay her head against his chest but found his lips a far better home. He spoke against her mouth and the words breathed health into her lungs. His kiss restarted her brittle heart and she cried a little with at the comfort of the embrace.

"You are all that I desire."

"Oh, Ilona...my queen. You are all that I desire."

It was the complete, utter truth. His absence had not only taken its' toll upon her young and delicate form, but it had done so within his cold, brooding soul. There was a constant yearning feeling as he was hid within the shadows that he could not escape. Of course, Vlad Tepes knew entirely why he had this overwhelming feeling of neglect and abandonment. Ilona had been gone from his embrace for far too long, and the thoughts of her secondary death consumed him. Memories resurfaced, ones that he struggled to contain....

"Long ago I learned that I cannot breathe without you...I have been reminded that, yet again." His mouth found hers once more, precious and eager at the same time. His hands caressed the sides of her face, pleading slightly. "My neglect is a terrible sin, Ilona...I have never felt more wrong doing in my entire life..."

"Where in the hell did you create that assumption?" Vlad was confused for the moment. "My only happiness comes from you...yet I find my other emotions forming because of you as well." The father vampire strode to his wife's side, arms circling around her. His lips found her cheek, then fell gracefully to her lips. "You are the one woman whom keeps me sane."
