What If the Countdown Just counts Up to 100 hours again?
And then back down to 0 👍
...And then Back Up to 100...and Back down...and Back up...and
I unironically love you guys so much
I’m still not over “the Linkin isn’t Parking” 🤣 it shall enter my vocabulary
XDDDDDDD
Well, they're trolling all of us
What's the german version?
I still gotta decide what grammatical gender “Linkin” would be. I’d guess either masculine or neutral. So it would be “Der Linkin parkt nicht” or “Das Linkin parkt nicht”.
I think I’d go with der (masculine) cause neutral sounds kinda mean and dehumanizing 😅
Its "der linkin parkt nicht"
I've Just decided this because i Like it better
Same. The Germans have Decided.
I just realized that “Linkin parkt nicht” also works without an article so we can avoid another Nutella discussion 😁👍
Alternatively, we split this like Aldi. The north gets der Linkin, the south gets das Linkin and Austria gets die Linkin.
Amazing idea! Now we just have to make sure to never interact with Austrians again 😁👍
But i dont want das linkin 😅
I don’t listen to Aldi Süd people
Remember it was a Aldi süd person who first tagged this Post with the linkin isnt parking? 🤣
That is literally a lie.
As someone bullied into learning this language's logic:
If you go by the name origins, it's der Linkin, as it's an alternative spelling of Lincoln to assure they could afford website fees. This kind of unhinged behavior is illegal in Germany, and has saved countless children being named Kävvyn at birth. The Lincoln in question here is Abraham Lincoln, so it's "der" regardless of if it's a first or last name.
If you insist it's derived from a verb with a weak conjugation (to link, linkin'), it's most likely die Linkin', with a small chance of das Linkin'. You are also denying important LP lore at this point.
If we continue to commit sacrilege and insist it's a proper noun, the most likely culprit would be die Linkin, as an alternative to der Link, to differentiate it from die Linke/der Linker. Personally, I think this is the rudest possible logic, especially if you're suggesting she can't park.
If it's an unquantifiable noun, like gold or water, it's das Linkin. I think that sounds like a fair trade Palmin alternative, and think it would be hilarious if that's what's revealed at the end of the countdown.
If it's like Nutella, and a pure fantasy word denoting a non-human concept, it has a null gender and should be used without article and the preferred genus for unknown substances, which would be neuter in German. This level of agender-ness, however, is so offensive to German society, it risks unleashing another culture war as people desperately try to stick a gender, any gender, NO, NOT THAT ONE, onto it.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Short version: it's der Linkin if you respect Chester's creative decisions and financial responsibility.
Damn, I think my vibe-based approach doesn’t really cut it 😅
Maybe I should ask Mike at my next M&G. His opinion will settle it cause he has the ultimate authority
"#but what if its der Linkin because linkin park -> DER Park??"
Wouldn't that make linkin an adjective? Does that mean "Es ist linkin kalt" is a legitimate sentence?
It is if we start saying it, language chages over time with how people use it anyway and its a linkin idea 🤣
If der linkin nicht parkt, Parkt vielleicht der Rechtin?
(links=left, rechts=right)
I’m in pain
