People do not understand his character 💔

For starters, if Snape really were to make the same wish as bear he could’ve easily done it using amortentia, which he doesn’t do. Also Snape was not obsessed with Lily before she died like a lot of people claim he was, he still loved her but he fucked off when she told him their friendship was over. To say that Snape would take away someone’s autonomy for his own happiness is so inaccurate and icky. You know who WOULD make the same wish as bear tho? James Potter. The same mf that pursued a girl for years despite her rejecting him multiple times.

Alex Meyers calling Snape a "where's my hug at" guy and then saying Bear from Obsession isn't that bad is my new...not 13th reason but...my villain backstory? And he said this about Snape in the first movie before he (allegedly) knew about the Lily thing so he just said that shit about Alan Rickman's/Snape's look and performance like... Like, where the HELL are you getting this from? But I guess he randomly calls Nikki a "hot Latina mommy" so I guess pulling shit out of his ass and making bad and stereotypical assumptions of characters is his thing.

This is your reminder today that Irene Adler in the original Conan Doyle story is literally not a criminal. She never commits a crime.

Nor is she a seductress in any kind of negative or manipulative sense - she has a mutual relationship with a powerful man who then breaks up with her, and afterwards she keeps protection against him in the form of evidence that the relationship existed. She HAS blackmail material, she even waves it at him threateningly because he treated her like shit, but she never even uses it.

Irene Adler is not a thief, femme fatale, or blackmailer. She's just a cool lady that wants to be left alone.

If your Sherlock Holmes adaptation has a character whose identifying qualities are that she is a seductive criminal in love with Holmes, you have created a character that is basically the literal opposite of Irene Adler and you should name her something else.

She's also -- and I cannot stress this enough -- from New Jersey. IMO this is the single most important detail missing from all the adaptations -- IRENE ADLER IS FROM NEW JERSEY.

Please just once in my life I would like to see this adapted faithfully it would be the funniest fucking thing ever.

I have never seen an episode of Columbo but I legit had a dream last night where I did and the plot was actually that Columbo was completely homeless and every time he (and his dog) moved to squat in a new place, he would also solve a crime. And he also had a niece played by Teri Garr.

I am disappointed now that that's not the plot so I guess I'm gonna have to write it for myself now. So uhhhh Columbo But Homeless trademarked by me.
