don’t make other people’s decisions for them. apply for the job you don’t think you’ll get. let them decide if you have the skills they’re looking for. tell that person you like them even though you think they’re out of your league. let them decide if they like you. stop trying to predict and control everything. bring what you have to the table. let the rest go.

All drug use needs to be decriminalized and harm reduction options (such as safe injection sites, fentanyl test strips, needle exchanges, and narcan training) need to be more widely available. Rehab facilities also need to stop doing shit like kicking people out for relapsing. I’ve seen too many friends and family hurt by the current system - whether incarcerated just for being an addict or not given adequate support when they’ve seeked it out. We need to treat drug users better.
