also I spent way too long playing in a clone creator (here’s the link if you wanna play too!!) last night to spitball ideas for burnt bread and I’m cracking up over how they’re the obnoxious couple who match

Toast started using line decals to match Ashe, and Ashe started using more gold to match Toast. OG Toast was a little more chaotic, and OG Ashe was primarily grey with only the bare minimum 212th gold. They also traded pauldrons. Married 😩

Toasty’s paint lines are also rough and chipped almost constantly, and Ashe’s are so meticulously perfect and sharp it’s a little concerning. Dude’s armor is ALWAYS clean.

My favorite bits are Toast’s sparkles, how the dark lines on Ashe’s cuisses looks like garters, and how Ashe has extra plating on his boots not because he’s frontline but because he’s mean and will kick LMAO

A lot of people seemed interested in my dark side AU, so I did a few doodles/sketches while thinking of some more ideas:

Cal is the Grand Inquisitor, but I’m still figuring out how that happens. I want to keep him ending up on Bracca, but maybe the death of Prauf sent him over the edge.

Bode is a Purge Trooper, working for the Inquisitors to protect Kata. He’s assigned to Cal as Cal’s personal guard, and so Cal gets scary dog privilege. (There is Spyscrapper in this AU).

Ezra is picked up by the crew of the Ghost, but the trap to capture them is set by Cal instead of Kallus. Zeb leaves Ezra behind and the Ghost leaves, and Cal uses Ezra’s fear of abandonment to twist him to the Dark. Ezra is very powerful and Cal senses it immediately, taking him on as an apprentice.

Because I also ship Trizra, I’m working on getting Tristan in there too. Seeing as when we meet him he’s working for the Empire already, I’ll probably build on that.

Also, the Ghost crew did go back for Ezra, but he was gone by the time they got back.

Also thinking of having Kallus, Thrawn, and Eli in there as Rebels.

Fallen Order AU where Cere is killed and Cal is taken by Darth Vader with the intention of making him an Inquisitor. But when Cal’s psychometric abilities are revealed, Vader has a different plan in mind, one that causes certain truths and revelations to come to light. Cal didn’t know what he was getting into when he showed Vader what he saw through those echoes, but he really didn’t sign up to accompany said Sith Lord while he went through a midlife crisis.

Essentially, Vader finds out the truth about how Palpatine lied to him and how Padmé really died and also the fact that he has twins out there somewhere and decides “fuck palpatine” and drags a bewildered Cal - who becomes his unofficial apprentice of sorts - with him as he plots a way to take the emperor down and also, find his kids.

Also a Darth Vader redemption of sorts. He’s still a pretty shitty guy at the start and his whole reason for wanting to kill the Emperor is solely to avenge Padmé. He also has some murderous intent towards Obi-Wan for hiding his children from him and also, leaving him to burn. He’s in the mindset of believing that he wasn’t at fault and blames others for everything that happened, including his actions. But gets a hard wakeup call from Cal when he shows him just how shitty things are and what the Empire, what he has done and finally thinks “oh, I’m the problem” and from then on his slow redemption starts as he sets out on attempting to repair the damage done as he starts back on the rocky path towards the light. He also trains Cal, who at first goes “fuck that and fuck you” but eventually the two become a duo. Like Vader and Starkiller if Vader was going through a crisis, stumbling through a path of redemption and Starkiller was his tired, annoyed, unofficial apprentice who was unwillingly dragged along for the ride.

What's that? You thought this was gonna be the Thrawn chapter? So did I! I was literally halfway through the first page of that when this came to me in a vision after years of having decided I was going to skip over the Maul plot. Lol 💀

Thing is Maul and Ezra's relationship has a little too much potential, I just couldn't seem to come up with anything that was achievable in a reasonable time frame and wouldn't spiral into a whole spinoff. It definitely deserves to be expanded upon further but there's more important stuff to get to, I just want to wolf the other Spectres already dammit.

Anyway, in case it wasn't obvious this takes place during Visions and Voices. Maul glimpsed the Wolf when they joined the holocrans and has wondered about it ever since. To the several asks I got curious about Maul in this series that I never got around to answering, this one's for you! This chapter definitely wouldn't have happened without those <3
