Thursday's life drawing is roughly the one year anniversary of me starting this routine. Even though I haven't managed to go every week I still went consistently. I don't see much difference in the drawings themselves (I really don't mind) but there has definitely been a change in my lifestyle which I'm most grateful for. When I started going to lifedrawing I wasn't looking to improve my art skills as much as looking for an inspiration and something to drive me to do art more routinely, an environment where I'm surrounded by other artists, which in itself inspires and motivates. And I can definitely see an improvement there. A nice calming cold blue marbling for you! Channelling my inner Bob Ross. Seriously, I haven't felt this zen in months! You should chill with Bob too and try and follow his instructions, just do it, it doesn't matter if you "can't paint", the end result doesn't matter, it's about how it made you feel!
