Randir Tinu’gaer or Wanderer or the Star Sea.

After a cataclysmic war on material plane, Randir was flung into the astral sea. He lived over 1000 years wandering the Astral sea until he met the goddess of law and her lover the goddess of nature. They were so moved by his empathy towards others that they bestowed to him the power of their bond, the laws that surround nature. Chaos and law working together.

Randir was moved by their gesture and promised to devote his life towards love. They opened a portal back to his home world to spread this love, however the goddess of law tasked him a favor. A horrible person was collecting horrible relics from a war past to unleash a mighty beast on the land. This creature exists in anger and hatred for their old master and wishes to take revenge on the land. Randir agreed to help stop such a person and went back home to a different world.

Two friends from the Fey Wild become bored of their mundane lives and subpar alcohol. When an Arch-Fey offers them a door way to the material plane (at an undisclosed price) they two take it. They find themselves in a curious world where they don’t understand the culture, currency, or why a bar keeper would release a djinn of immense power just to escape from criminals. This is the story I gave my friend to learn dnd.
