The home of all those amazing gifs on tumblr. Can't find that one gif? Browse through our "Find Your Gif" page and see if you get lucky. The Gif Library is a collection of gifs found all over the internet. As such, the only gifs that are originally made by the members, or "Librarians" at The Gif Library are those with the "original" tag. Otherwise the gif is made by someone else. We try our best to track the gifs back to their original source. Upon doing so, we set a click through link on each gif, leading to it's originator. If you see an error/mistake in any aspect of our blog, or a gif that is wrongly credited, or wrongfully quoted please bring it to our attemtion so that we may fix the problem. Submissions are always welcome, as well as requests. Even if you don't have a request and you just want to comment/chat, the ask box is always opened unless otherwise stated.

Could you tell me where this gif of Benedict Cumberbatch is from? It's the one where he's in bed and screams at something and hides under the covers. He looks pretty young in it and he has short brownish-red hair. If you go to google images and search "Benedict Cumberbatch bed hiding scream" it should be one of the first (if not THE first) things to come up. Thank you so much!

i couldn't find a source for that gif besides this tumblr (ha!) but my best guess is To the Ends of the Earth, his hair and the costume look about right for that. sorry i couldn't be more help!

OMFG!!

It's been soooooooo long since I've made and posted a gif.

I'm really sorry guys. Never intended to do that. My laptop just fried, and working on my desktop was surprisingly less appealing. So many request have gone by, and I feel like I've let you down. I'm happy to see those of you that continue to rock with us though. So consider this my triumphant return to the world of gif hunting and creating!

So lets get a few things out of the way. 

Requests: We have a lot of backed up requests, and I'm gonna start working on them. Between being a full time manager, a musician, and a huge procrastinator  this may take time but I'm taking it underway. Which brings me to number two.

Admins: If you're interested in becoming an admin, please inbox us with a few examples of gifs that you've either made, or found, and how you would post them to the blog. The more people we have contributing, the better and more effeciently we will be able to run The Gif Library.

Submissions: Never be afraid to submit a gif to us! We love to see your work and ideas!
