why did this post make me realize there are no female rats in this movie

actually there is, she has one line at the end when she says “how do you know?”

ok I just skimmed though the movie again, and here she is in the beginning, she just doesn’t say anything, and you wouldn’t guess she was a girl because they didn’t do that weird humanizing, tits and longer eyelashes thing that most movies with animals do.

i’m pretty sure that all the female coded rats are the smaller rats, which is apparently accurate to real rats. Remmy is also really small. after going though the movie I realized that there are only five rats that have actual lines. Remmy, Emile, the dad, the really big bodyguard rat, and the rat at the end. whack.

And the end? Just perfect! Please PLASE if you like a good fantasy book, consider reading these. you woun’t regret it!

a few reasons to read rebel of the sands:

- shazad al-hamad is an absolute blessing on every level.

- in fact, the female characters in general are all unique and strong

- ‘i’d always liked this shirt. it was a shame about all the blood’ has equal yet opposite energy to ‘go ahead and shoot me, this isn’t my favourite shirt’

- accurate representation for the setting!!!

- sam has the same energy as nikolai lantsov and is instantly loveable

- amani’s character development??? the way she grew as a person throughout the trilogy is amazing and i love her

i will never shut up about how great these books are.

I thought of something. The only person you should genuinely fear of messing is no other than Wilhelmina Yiqiang Ke Carstairs.

I mean, her grown up version. I’m sure living with so many legends and having that kind of lineage will make her pretty badass, but here are the alternatives.

Let’s start. Her brother, Kit Herondale: The angstiest bitch to ever angst. Her only living relative, Emma Carstairs: The girl with the golden sword. The whole Blackthorn family; Helen, Mark, Julian, Ty, Dru and Tavvy: They would protect that girl like it’s their only job. The only other living Herondale, Jace Herondale: Mina is technically his ancestor. Everyone’s aunt, Clary Fairchild: The girl with the endless energy to fight. Her glitter bi uncle for eternity, Magnus Bane: Oh you do not want to mess with that dude. The children loving Consul with a deadly bow, Alec Lightwood: He would adopt her ass you wouldn’t even notice. And of course, the ghost: Her Uncle Will would haunt your little sorry ass.

And of course, her parents, Brother Snackariah turned Most Handsome Shadowhunter to ever exist: He has seen so many bullshit around this world, do not mess with her babygirl. And, the women who births angsty kids like it’s a Tuesday, Tessa Gray: That women will make you sorry for even existing.

Can we please stop associating being a good person with how much you're willing to suffer in silence for other people? You can be a kind person and still say "no, I don't have the time/energy to help you with that." You can be a kind person and still say "this makes me uncomfortable, please stop." You can be a kind person and still say "I disagree and here's why." You can be kind and still say "I'm not okay with this." Being kind is about treating people with kindness and respect, not about being the human equivalent of a doormat!
