Though he was half tempted to protest that, he found himself smiling anyway. Leaning up, he pressed a kiss to the corner of Dick’s mouth. “Me too. Made things a lot better.” Jason paused for a moment. “Think that’s when I started falling for you…”

Dick smiled a little, dipping his head to nuzzle at him. “I’m glad I helped you feel better that night Jay. And I’m glad it lead us to where we are now. A year later and we’re married”

"Yeah." A soft little laugh left him as he tucked his head into the crook of Dick's neck. "Kinda weird thinking about it, how much has changed, I mean. Married and retired a year later. Huh... now I feel old," he said, mostly joking.

Jason hummed and wiggled, rocking his hips playfully. The distraction would be nice, actually. Besides, nothing quite cures a hangover like an orgasm. “Mn, no. Four and dinner.”

Hand’s sliding down to his double’s hips, Jay shift against, trying to make the position a little more… comfortable. Maybe a little stress relief would do them both some good. “Fine, four and dinner, but that means you’re making breakfast,” he noted, one hand sliding down to give Jason’s ass a squeeze.

A shiver ran down his spine and he pressed back into Jay’s hand, then ground down hard with a muffled groan. “Who says we’re gettin’ outta bed before dinner?”

It occurred to Jay that they were both still wearing far too much clothing. He rolled his hips up against Jason's, a soft moan slipping from him. His other hand slid up under his boyfriend's shirt, slowly dragging it up and out of the way. "Good point. Mm, still want that coffee now though." "Yeah, but I didn’t want you getting fired or something cause I was being stupid." With a very soft, slightly strained laugh, he nodded. Jay tilted his head back a little more, exposing his neck with a little content sigh at the affection. There was something strangely nice about not having to talk about how the last day and the few weeks before had left him kind of a wreck, because Jason knew exactly how he felt. Probably. He gave his double’s hair a little teasing tug. “Hey, c’mon, you don’t need both. Gimme one an’ I’ll pay you back, four blow jobs for the coffee.”

He laughed softly and nipped at the skin, tugging on it gently between his teeth. Just enough to leave a mark. Enough to claim this dork as his own. Yes, his mood was definitely rising just being in Jay’s presence. He could almost forget the last week. “Make it five.”

"Didn’t wanna bug you. Was already pretty smashed when I went out, didn’t wanna embarrass you," he mumbled, though Dick was probably right, it would have saved him some trouble later at least. For once totally happy to be the little spoon, Jason snuggled in closer, tucking his head under his husband’s chin. A very small smile snuck onto his face as he nodded. "Yeah, I do. Good thing you showed up though, made things a lot better."

"You’re an idiot." He teased softly, tucking Jason against him. He reached up to play with his hair, nuzzling the top of his head. "I’d rather have you embarrass me then be somewhere causing trouble." He pointed out. "You could barely walk when I came across you on the rooftops. "

The kiss prompted a soft little hum as he gently nuzzled Jason. Given his own experience with the anniversary of his death, and the number of times he had nearly made the day doubly as special, he had to imagine that his double had been going through similar things. Though the pain wasn’t as bad as it had been, it wasn’t gone. Having Jason there though made it feel a bit less crushing. His fingers continued moving gently through his boyfriend’s hair as he glanced over to the nightstand. “Did’ja bring me coffee? Or are both o’ those for you?” he asked, mostly teasing with the second part.

A soft chuckle escaped him and he peppered a few more kisses along Jay’s neck. Just being here with Jay was already making him feel better. He knew that by the end of the day he would be back to normal. Or as close to normal as he ever really got. “Maybe if ya ask real nicely I’ll letcha have a sip.”

He took a few pills, probably a bit more than the recommended dose and tossed them back before downing the entire glass of water in one long drink. With a little hum, he leaned into the gentle touch, feeling himself relax a bit. “Maybe in a little while.” Reaching up, he caught Dick’s wrist and gave a little tug. “Jus’ don’t wanna be alone.”

"You should have come to see me at work Jay." He hummed, climbing into bed when he was prompted. He curled his arms around the younger man. "Though I suppose bar hopping is better then how you handled it last year. Do you remember?"

With a little wiggling, he managed to get his arms out from under his boyfriend to wrap them tightly around him. Really, if anything new what he was going through, it would be Jason… for rather obvious reasons. One of his hands snaked up into his double’s hair. “Should’ve called you yesterday,” he mumbled, the unspoken apology clear in his tone.

Yesterday was hard for both of them, certainly, but it was probably better that they went through it on their own. Maybe going bar hopping hadn’t been his best idea, so now it was time for his original plan B for the day before, staying in bed all day. He rolled over and scooted close enough to the nightstand to reach out a slightly shaky hand for the pills.

Though he could hear the sounds of someone coming into his apartment, Jay remained exactly where he was. It sounded like the had gotten the door open without breaking it, so at least they didn’t seem violent. Maybe they would just steal a few things and then take off. Or they could come into his room and put him out of his misery. Either way.
