If ever you thought, can I do it alone? The answer is HELL YES.

Do the damn thing.

Yes, traveling with friends, family, a partner is swell, but you cater to others with the itinerary, food, etc.

Take the trip. Drive around and stop wherever and whenever you feel like it. If you like the vibe, stay. If you don't, move on. Ask the locals for their recommendations... You'll be so happy you did.

While I'm not entirely alone on this ten day trip, my solo days have proven to me it's 1,000% worth it to travel more on my own speed.

Have @alabastercoffee. Will travel. Sitting at Rockaway Beach in Pacifica, watching surfers, and enjoying my morning cup of coffee. Alabaster X Steeped packs while traveling makes a good cup of coffee so easy. Now I always pack a travel mug with some packs and bypass the horrible hotel room K cups. This trip having the Miir and @kylermartz collaboration mug that benefited the Feeding America COVID19 relief fund makes this morning's reflections very fitting. I'm grateful for the opportunity to travel with vaccination numbers increasing across the country. I truly need to brag about the amazing work performed by Purvis Gallery of Design. Visit their showrooms and ask for advice from Art at their Rancho Mirage location or Carlos and Jerry in Upland if you need inspiration to frame or even design great pieces for your home. They performed such amazing framing on my growing collection of art and each piece was paired beautifully with frames and mats in luxurious ways to enhance and show off the piece. These photographs truly don't do their work justice!

Cruising the TV this glorious Saturday morning and caught another episode of #didimentioninvention with @alieward. It reminded me of a time when she and @hardstark introduced the world to the McNuggetini! In October it'll be ten years since they launched their YouTube channel and started a new direction in their lives. These woman have both grown their careers with accolades and trail blazing all their own. (*cough* book publishing tours and Emmy awards) I remember meeting the pair at a LA blog event (hey there #BloggerProm alum!) and found them so nice and down to earth. Proof a few YouTube views and hard work can leverage you into amazing places. Magic to see the sun rise over France as I landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport near Paris. Wish I had a longer layover to pop over to the city for a look around. Haven't spent but 48 hours there about twenty years ago. I think I'd enjoy some exploring considering how much I loved Montréal and Québec... First stop of this trip is staying in rural England, visiting family in the Cannock area outside of Birmingham. Booked in at a little pub and inn. The first order of business was exploring the church grounds and cemetery. The town and surrounding manors date back to medieval times. There's a long history of industry development paired with a very established community church. Some of the oldest identifiable headstones in the parish cemetery seem to be around the late 1700s. I found cemetery takes on vastly different moods in different daylight... Easter Sunday the trees were blooming and welcoming. In late afternoon there's an ominous look along with a crisp chill in the air. After supper, a little walkabout in the city center led me down some lanes that look like they're straight out of a scene from Harry Potter. I truly love it here. So so proud of Ron Celona and the growth of the Coachella Valley Repertory. Their productions I've attended in Rancho Mirage have been top notch theater in such an intimate setting... this move will allow the organization to bring bigger audiences in the Valley to the theater, and even more promising, bring audiences INTO the Valley to see theater. #coachellavalleyrepertory #theater #carolchanningplayhouse
