BABY MANTIS! This is what I yelled throughout the house as all my trips of searching through the spiky hakea paid off! (There are the remains of 5 mantis nests there and have spotted adults in there in the past). Why not eat your weeds? Itās organic (assuming like me one of reasons you have so many weeds is you donāt use a weed killer), itās local, itās seasonal, sustainable, reducing your weeds and is free!! Also easy AF, lazy gardening all the way! Todayās salad was brought to you by dandelion leaves/flowers, Cats Ear flowers, self seeding rampant sweet potato leaves (and a few roasted tubers), a lone potato from the back of the cupboard, weedy tomatoes from last season with a bit of lemon juice and herbs for flavour. Wish I knew I could eat dandelions and sweet potatoes sooner. Could have saved so much money on salads. Phil said to me, āI never thought weād become these peopleā Me: what people?
