I saw this from an edit and I HAD TO draw this as Leo and Usagi!

It seems fitting that there is a fanfiction I’m actively following: Ninjas Don’t Dance by @paymeinpikachus (I highly recommend this fanfiction). It basically inspired me to make this!

You can imagine my excitement when I found out that the actor’s voice sounds reaaaally similar to a CERTAIN RABBIT CHARACTER, if you know what I mean…

Aaaand you guessed it! This is Yuichi Usagi’s VA! Darren Barnet playing as Paxton Hall-Yoshida in Never Have I Ever

Please DO NOT COME AT ME. I haven’t seen Never Have I Ever and this is made purely for fun!

Since I’ve seen a lot of people animate the voice actor’s other roles as different characters that they played as before - most commonly I’ve seen is ROTTMNT Leonardo (Ben Schwartz)

So why not I give Usagi the same treatment? QuQ

Anyway, don’t know if I’m ever planning to make a cleaner, colored and more polished version.. I’d really love to move on to my other art projects!! But I hope you guys liked it anyways ^u^

(I have been thinking about this for a while , sorry I am not a writer)

Yokai have sent usagi and his friends ,Gen, Kitsune, Chizu , and spot to go to Hajimari no nai tochi , the land on no beginning, a place beyond the big mountains , after the snow and blizzards , there is a big river l that leads to a beautiful warm lake , and in that lake lurks kappas , and she wants them to bring a heart of a kappa washed with lapis water pouring from a gourd and three peaches washed with lapis water pouring from a gourd, and that was because the n of the mischievous yokies splashed on her a weeking position out of boredom and she need the only cure for which are those.

As the set off the made a list first the need to get

-a gourd

-three peaches

-lapis water (they will be able to get it by finding lapis and crushing it with hot springs water)

-the heart of a kappa

The manged to buy gourd from tue market of Neo edo , and then they bought three peaches from the farmers market, and then they set off to the mountains, it was a loooong climb and a boring one too , and when they reached the top it was snow all the way down the mountain, as if the mountain was wearing a wedding gown and it was so modest it covered its hall back and the top of it , when they went down, they haven’t encountered any travelers passed the mountain….. I mean, who would want to come here they name of the place was “the land of no begging” the name was not a name to attract tourists or travelers, they managed to get out of the snow area, now they need to find a mine wear they can find lapis and turn it into lapis water, after that they need to find the big river that leads to the warm lake and then kill a kappa and get the heart….

They managed to find a mineshaft with a minor in front, the minor is holding his pickax closely as if waiting something to attack, usagi asked if he has lapis laying around, and the minor gave him some , and usagi if he has Mortar and pestle and he threw it at him and yelled to leave him alone, and usagi stubbornly said what about warm hot springs, the man pointed at him with his pickax and said that way , and they went after using the Mortar and pestle to crush the lapis into powder, they went to the hot springs and grabbed some of it with the gourd and put the lapis powder in and shock the gourd , and now left the heart of a kappa

As they set on their way to find the big river

usagi remembered he never asked the minor where it was !!, and that made everyone grown , the set a camp a few hours later, usagi and Gen suggested they go bring more food , as he went with spot , he got lost unfortunately, but he stumbled into the most biggest river he had ever seen- ITS THD RIVER , he thought he need to get back and tell the others but they are far away, and he is sure that he is more than capable to handle a kappa , he knows so much about yokies , he is a yokies enthusiast ,

So he decided to go himself and get the heart of the kappa , he doesn’t know which side to follow, so he went with his guts and went the right side , he kept walking for so long that he thought that the sun might rise soon, then he heard a far away humming , his long ears are not for show, he decided to hide and walk around quietly crouching to see what’s going shushing spot, slowly he reached the lack , it was big and it had a big beautiful fountain.

And there was a kappa….but it’s unlike any kappa he have ever heard of , the kappa he was looking at didn’t have the hole in there head that had fresh water in or hair , or a gross looking beak and it didn’t look as ugly as he thought, it’s not even ugly at all it’s beautiful, the kappa apparently naked , sitting on a rock , and had red sharp markings on thier eyes. And faint yellow lines across their arms and legs , there eyes are closed as they are scrubbing their arm , the shell wet and reflecting the light that is being reflected by the fountain ,….they were breath taking….and elegant and majestic-

Usagi stepped on a twig and he real wished he could blame it on spot

The kappa arms wrapped around itself, looking straight at usagi , the kappas eyes were ocean blue , and their face is pretty and elegant, with….a scar across their neck…..it looks startled and shocked

When usagi got up from his hiding spot………they started at each other, until usagi managed to get himself to close his mouth and tried to say something, but the kappa jumped in the water, and never surfaced again.

My Jolly sailor bold~

I wrote this while I was in a trans from Leonardo mermaid. It’s a bit rushed, and I might not write more of it , I just wanted to get to the good part where I actually rehearsed. So I hope you guys enjoy.

in a fish eat fish world, creatures of the deep sea must survive and feed like whales and sharks and even the darkest of creatures that lives deep beyond the reach of the sun light that reflects the on top of the beautiful blue canvas need to survive . Creatures like mermaids must survive using what they are giving, (voice , looks and manipulation and seduction) and these mysterious -dark men to the bone eating dark creatures- have is priceless, their tears . it’s said their tears could cure the sick and keep the ager young and well ,but these creatures are known to have a rule among the only alive pirates that lived long enough to tell the tale “ it’s everything but tears” , according to an old pirate captain a white female rabbit “Miyamoto hina” famously known as “auntie” captain of the invincible ship .she herself have met one who cut of her ear and in return she cut off its tail and threw it back in the salty water to die, “no tears.” She said about that meat eating creature , “them creatures don’t know the meaning of grief” she said , now her only nephew “yuichi usagi “that she raised on top of ships now 18 and in such enthusiasm to be come the captain of the famous invincible ship, with a scar above his left eye brow just like his great grandfather (he who famously gave the name “auntie “ to his aunt to be called that ) .

Auntie got a deal from one of the famous lords in neo edo to get him as he said “wine bottle size of mermaid tears.” And the tears alone was going to cost him a fortune . And auntie made an order to make a big tank for fish that is made with bulletproof glass and fill it up with sea water, and her nephew always and exciting impulsive ball of energy and bravery made a deal with her that if he caught a a mermaid he will become captain, and she agreed all so proudly of her nephew.

And hold and behold, usagi caught a mermaid , after agonizing long and hot months of trying to locate the mermaid waters now it felt worth it, and that mermaid that usagi caught if anybody ever saw one such as gorgeous as this being, blue long tail with shiny blue beautiful scales that were enough to put the men of the ship in a trans , they put it in a tank , the tank was a bit small for it to swim but it kept hitting the glass on the tank and seams annoyed and bothered when someone tap on the glass

You might wonder how usagi did it ? The answer it’s simple he used himself as bait and had two bots of men to hold the net under the mermaid , the mermaid talked to him as if it was intrigued , it was a male , and usagi was shocked that he can talk and above all how beautiful they looked . But now the mermaid is now in the tank where they would try and make him cry to have his tears, and so they directed the ship to neo edo docks and usagi and his auntie retreated to the captain’s cabin to think of ways to make it cry , through out half the trip back home the male mermaid have dealt with

-glass banging.

-hungr.

-dirty water tank.

-crampy space.

-being boiled to death (he is in a tank on the deck with the sun hitting him so it’s like being boiled).

-and above all murmuring loud and annoying by everyone.

-and doesn’t know where he is at all because they have been traveling for a long time.

And the usagi suggest to his auntie to negotiate with the male mermaid for its tears and she thought it was a dumb idea but she gave him a chance and gave him her hat to how on the deck and make the deal with the male mermaid

Usagi ordered for the crew to bring a big cage to put on top of the tank so the can open the tank and talk to the male mermaid, and the did at first the male mermaid tried to shake the cage but it didn’t work than usagi waved “hello!, we have met before, my name is captain yuichi usagi of the invincible ship and this is my auntie and these are my friends gen , Kitsuné , chizo , and hun , and my little sister hana… do you have a name?” Asked usagi

The mermaid head was half in the water but lifted it up “yes.” It said”what is ?” Asked usagi.

“ Leonard.” Said Leonardo coldly”cool name coool…sooooo I have a deal….how bout you give us your tears like in a wine sized bottle and in return we throw you back into the salty waters…how about that!?” Said usagi with a smile , Leonardo looked at him through the cage and but his hands on the bars “you want to make a deal?” He asked the happy rabbit nodded “yes!” “ exchange of my tears?” Asked once more pointing at himself, Nodded once more that enthusiastic rabbit “yep in a wine sized bottle!” , “you would throw me back into the water-that water right there?!” Leonardo Pointed at the sea that is next to them” exactly yes home sweet home.” Said the happy -thinking his deal is sealed -rabbit , “after what you have done to me?” Leonardo spat out like a venom “huh?” Usagi asked in confusion, “ yeah !, in the middle of the night caught me and dropped me on the deck like i am ‘the catch of the day fish’ , and then put me in a stinky dirty tank that not even the sucker fish would wanna swim in-there is fish feces in here!! , and all the tapping on the glass and murmuring sounds-uuuuugh I have heard Gulf Corvina less louder than all of you! , and no manors at all !! No food offerings at all ! I.am.hungry- at least the fin of a salmon would be enough!, and above all that! YOU LEFT ME IN THIS STUPID THING UNDER THE SUN TO BOIL- I felt myself getting cooked!!!, and are you stupid or something? You think by throwing me back into the ocean it’s ‘home sweet home’ for me? No land dweller! It’s a fish eat fish world down there -I do t even know which direction you guys sailed at for me to be able to go to the mermaid waters!! So NO i will not give you my tears.” Leonardo said and splashed everyone and everything with water by slapping his beautiful blue fin on the water tank. And everyone was was socked ,)

I have a head cannon of Leonardo actually like in macarons, and I think mermaid Leonardo would be obsessed with them too 

I choose to call him a mermaid, more then a siren because siren I think in Greek mythology basically means bird with women head and a guy mixed up in the mermaid stuff so I just kept mermaid, and I honestly think Leonardo is the most beautiful mermaid I’ve ever seen. I just genuinely think he’s so pretty and he has those eyes that just makes usagi sheeeeek

And this is a mermaid x pirate au , and no Leonardo didn’t give him his dear. He ended up crying later on in this universe because he was sold after falling in love with usagi , to the rich man that asked for the wine bottle sized tears, and yes usagi fell in love with him too, but in the very end, he chose money and that caused Leonardo to have such a strong heartbreak that he cried for the first time in his entire life because he actually never cried once)
