This was a recent personal project for fun and as a thought experiment. Lyrical Anachronisms.
I am a fan of anachronisms. (meaning some item or style used in a time era it is not normally suited for). They are thought provoking as a visual style. I do smaller projects and mainly for myself. Many of these are anachronisms. This particular one is taking song lyrics that mean something to me and making them into silent film text slates of the late 1800s/early 1900s.

“Lucifer” (Final) By @egregoredesign This is an interpretation of the Paradise Lost version of the character. The emphasis was pride, power, and rebellion as opposed to common hellish motifs applied to him. This is supposed to be the Fallen Left Hand of the Creator with still the arrogance and diminishing grace.
This version believes what he did was justified. He is the embodiment of power and the pride that comes with it. And he will never back down. Pride comes before the Fall.
The term above is exitus acta probat which means in English “the outcome justifies the deed.”

Three of Swords By @egregoredesign
“In a general context, the Three of Swords represents unhappiness, heartache, sorrow and sadness. It is a Minor Arcana card of grief, loss, depression and tears and when it appears in your Tarot reading it generally indicates a period of difficulty or hardship, usually on an emotional level. Distraction, conflict, disillusion and serious misunderstanding are all represented by this card so whatever situation it signifies will bring with it confusion, upset and upheaval. ” Source: Tarotguide

Mythic Occult Series: Circe By @egregoredesign
Circe is a goddess of magic or sometimes a nymph, witch, enchantress or sorceress in Greek mythology.
In Homer’s Odyssey, she is described as living in a mansion that stands in the middle of a clearing in a dense wood. Around the house prowled strangely docile lions and wolves, the drugged victims of her sorcery; they were not dangerous, and fawned on all newcomers. Circe worked at a huge loom. She invited Odysseus’ crew to a feast of familiar food, a pottage of cheese and meal, sweetened with honey and laced with wine, but also laced with one of her magical potions and drunk from an enchanted cup. Thus so she turned them all into swine with her magic wand or staff after they gorged themselves on it. Only Eurylochus, suspecting treachery from the outset and thus not entering the mansion of Circe, escaped to warn Odysseus and the others who had stayed behind at the ship.
