As September approaches so does suicide awareness month. It’s a heavy topic but an important one. I’m donating 50% of all profits from these shirts and sweatshirt to the JED foundation. They are a nonprofit that focuses on youth and young adults to promote emotional health and prevent suicide. Although suicide can impact anyone of any age, young people are especially vulnerable due to lack of mental health and wellness education and skill as well as bullying and harassment. .

This design specifically focuses on those who are targeted and hate for their sexuality and gender identity, religion, race, disabilities, or appearance. “Haunt your haters, keep living” is a phrase I’ve hung up on my wall for years. It’s something that reminds me to keep on going, that I could wish I was a ghost to haunt those who have hated be but it’s better live and let my happiness and existence be what haunts them. .

Please know that suicide is a complex issue and this statement may not reflect everyone feelings or experiences. This is something I personally find helpful and relate-able. I also do not think my sole reason or purpose for living is based in this phrase but it is a coping mechanism for when I feel my darkest. .

My dango pins arrived! The sweet animal dango turned out beautiful and there’s very few flaws. The spooky bat dango however is majority flawed and just awful quality so I’m hoping to get replacements for them. Overall happy and I’ll take better picture this week
