August rain: the best of the summer gone, and the new fall not yet born. The odd uneven time.

I don’t know whether to despise you for stealing my innocence away, or whether to thank you for making me see the world for what it really is and people for who they really are.

Revision is one of the true pleasures of writing. I love the flowers of afterthought.

We’re about to start the serious editing process on our book, and I hope this proves true for us.

From personal experience at university, I know for a fact that revision is the pleasures of Hell. Congratulations, you have to burn the fields in which you have dedicated days/weeks of your life.
I might be bitter about some of the things I’ve had to do this semester.

iridescent
(irəˈdes(ə)nt), adjective | In our list of most beautiful words in the English language, iridescent is the most mystically colorful in the spectrum of vocabulary. Iridescence describes the change of color at different angles. Most importantly, it focuses on the luminosity projected by each color. Its beauty is also found in its sound; just say the word. Uttering the word evokes enough beauty, but defining the word establishes an ethereal quality of color found in nature, such as that of a rainbow, seashells or soap bubbles. (via wnq-writers)
Describe something iridescent for me.
“Sometimes it feels like someone else is wearing my body.”
- Warsan Shire, “Conversations About Home”
Being an artist means forever healing your own wounds and at the same time endlessly exposing them.

Oh, my god. This.
And it was after months of silence that I realized we make better strangers than we ever did anything else.
Tonight the universe is testing me more than ever: it’s asking me to forgive you, even though you’re not sorry.

Growing apart doesn't change the fact that for a long time we grew side by side; our roots will always be tangled. I'm glad for that.

Sometimes. Sometimes I hate it.
