Preorders are open!!
That’s right! Volume two of Beauty and The Beast is available to pre-order! 325 pages of sidelong glances, mysterious figures, and romantically charged gardening! The print edition includes over 30 as-yet unseen pages, extensive art revisions, and, as an unexpected bonus, sheet music!
Preorders include shipping in the price, but the book will also be available for pickup at TCAF and Word on the Street if you’d like to save a bit of money. You can also add a cover sketch to your order for just $5 extra! The book will be shipping in early June, but you can nab it mid-May if you choose the pickup option for TCAF.
Newcomers, fear not! Volume one is available as well! 170 pages of nightmares, guilt complexes and awkward dinner conversation! Contest winners, I have not forgotten you – you can expect a shiny new copy of the book in your mailbox along with some other limited edition goodies!

Vellucent vellum bookbinding. Bound early 20th century by Cedric Chivers, Bath.
Vellucent vellum is a technique developed by Cedric Chivers (c1853-1929) around 1903. It is designed not only for the protection of leather bindings, but also to protect covers bearing coloured designs painted on paper (usually pictorial in nature) attached to the boards, and then covered with vellum. The surface of the vellum itself can be tooled in gold, thus further enhancing the entire effect. This is one of two volumes, each with a different pictorial design.
