In other news, preparation for Euros is going pretty bad according to Stoica. They’re running late and got stuck in paperwork and can’t get the approval for the money they need. As long as they get the money this month, everything will be fine. He said they need about 900.000 €. (x)
*I do think RFG can get it together for Euros and can get the money if they make an effort to speed up the paper work somehow. I mean there are lots of money being thrown away on all sort of useless shit all the time. This was probably meant as a wakeup call from Stoica so they can get the money faster, but it’s not like he didn’t know how things work in this country or maybe I’m in denial, who knows
I’m so glad we already bought tickets for an event that might not happen lmao
Nah, it’ll be fine, from years of living in Hungary I have learned to accept that this is the only way anything will progress in this late planning stage.
I know, isn’t that just great lmao. Agreed, I think it will work out after all. RGF handling this makes it more scary than it is though hahaha
It will happen. It’s the Romanian way to do it all shortly before the event. It’s cool. I don’t understand why we gotta spend that much money, but then again, corrupt governments and federations… it’s Romania
900k euros my Romanian ASS!! If they can get their hands on that much money to host a mere European championship the year after the Olympic Games, think how much they could do for the program with that much money.
An interview with Valentina Rodionenko…
She says that they have already set their goal for 2018, to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. 2017 however is a great opportunity for the athletes to show their individual capabilities. The interviewer is very impressed with their Olympic success and how well V-Rod predicted the results ahead of time. V-Rod is extremely grateful of the team and their staff. She also acknowledges that 2016 was the year of weddings in their team.
They now have a very young team and she mentions that the main team is Melka, Seda, Beefarm and new seniors Nastia and Lena. They’re also still considering Lilia. No mention of Vika or Afan and their status, but there’s this sketchy bit about Spiridoz. I don’t know if I understood it wrong, but she mentions that she’ll be on the team if she has the right attitude/level of commitment. Shady… She also says that the rest of the girls are lagging behind, but the door to the team is always open if someone rises to the occasion.
Aliya is on a break, but hasn’t ended her career yet. If her physical condition allows it, she could go to Tokyo and win another medal. V-Rod really hopes that after she retires, she’ll join the coaching staff of the national team. She’s a special athlete with a gift in teaching and psychology. Emin Garibov has joined the team as a coach and has a gift for it as well.
All of the Olympian’s are still continuing in the men’s team and they have a much larger MAG reserve team compared to the girls.
Uh when is this woman going to vanish? You really going to rely on Paseka and Seda to bring iron from international competitions this year and next year? One can’t hit her beam routine 9/10 and the other has back injuries that should be taken very seriously. Melka is mediocre at best when put up against the international field. This bitch is doing it all wrong. Same approach as last quad. While they brought home Olympic gold, silver, and bronze, there was plenty of wasted and mismanaged junior talent.
Forever reblog
Not sure if this has been shared but here’s Margzetta doing a bhs stepout + loso full. She’s been training so many unique and impressive upgrades lately, I can’t wait to see what her routines will be like this year!
