Astro Propaganda I'm Not Falling For 2
1. Moon opposite sun is a good for romantic compatibility or is a soulmate aspect.
The only "positive" oppositions I see in relationships are Asc/Asc opposition, Jupiter/Jupiter opposition, and somewhat Sun/Venus opposition.
Ascendant opposite Ascendant - Because they naturally tap into each other's 7th house of partnerships.
Jupiter opposite Jupiter - Because, despite being opposing views, unlike Mercury opposition, Jupiter is all about expansion, so the different life experiences might actually create an enriching dynamic that Jupiter finds valuable. It loves to teach and learn.
Sun opposite Venus - BARELY, but it creates a false sense of "you're the one" initially. As time progresses and if the relationship evolves, they start to realize it was all a projection, and the actual person isn't so compatible as they thought. But it creates an initial spark that creates a rhythm.
All in all, though, even for those "good oppositions", understand this: It's a balancing act. It will ALWAYS be a balancing act.
Stop romanticizing opposites. Relationships last based on HARMONY, not on challenges. While challenges are a natural part of relating to each other, and with time, all couples learn from each other's differences, real life is not a Disney princess movie. You will not find common ground if everything about you is differing.
Even for "good" opposites such as the ones I mentioned above, it will require A LOT of work. A lot of open, mature, direct,.humble and honest conversation. A lot of patience and emotional health. They are OPPOSITES. They will trigger each other's nerves. They will go about things in different ways. They think differently, they act differently, they expect different things.
Sun opposite moon can be a lot more detrimental than people online will have you believe. It's an aspect that most times will indicate feeling trapped and stuck in a relationship you can't get out of, but only grow to resent as time passes. And if and when it does work, you better believe the rest of the charts have a bunch of other aspects working double-time to keep that opposition at bay.
A sensitive Cancer sun will never feel emotionally nurtured by a stoic, pragmatic Capricorn moon, no matter how hard Mary-Sues online talk about what huge secret softies inside Capricorn moons are. They are not sensitive like Cancers. Cancer is on the altruistic side of sensitive. Capricorn is on the "I am deeply wounded and my wounds are raw 24/7, but I'm gonna pretend it doesn't bother me" side of sensitive. Those are not the same thing. One is external, the other is internal. (Unless other aspects in their charts remedy this).
At some point, Sun/Moon opposition WILL clash, and it will clash bad. Opposition is a NEGATIVE aspect.
I know we all wanna hear good things all the time, but we have to be serious about ourselves. If you got an opposition in your synastry, look for other positive aspects, see if the rest of the synastry supports you two, be prepared to deal with that opposition, and move on. No Cinderella story behind a Sun/Moon opposition.
Sun CONJUNCT Moon is the real deal if you wanna know soulmates and whatnot. And until you've had it, you won't know that. But if you ever do, or you happen to see a couple with Sun/Moon conjunction happen in front of you... you'll know. They'll attach from 00.1 seconds after meeting.
2. Martian placements are always focused and driven.
A lot of the times they are, but sometimes all that drive and energy just stays inside, jumbling everything up. A constant state of "I want", but never the courage to do it. They always FEEL like they COULD, but they just never do. And sometimes they tell themselves that they WOULD; the day just never seems to come. There's always some magical scenario in the future in which they realize things, but as long as there's a future, then there's always a tomorrow.
What happens is that, when they finally do move, they do it hastily. That gives the impression that they are finally enacting their drive, but it can often be out of time and out of sync. But that only happens because Mars is the planet of war, and for Martian placements, that war could be going on inside them. That's where Aries and Libra meet. Aries and Scorpio placements can be surprisingly insecure (in the 'afraid' sense of the word) and uncertain. They do end up doing something, but it takes a lot of gearing up the courage to do so, and that takes time.
I don't mean this as a diss at all, because Martian placements are remarkable people. And they do accomplish a lot. I could even argue that they are the "magic workers" of the zodiac, because sometimes the things they accomplish literally look like they came out of nowhere and it was impossible to do until they did it, and nobody saw it coming or how they did it.
This is more designed to gather some sympathy for Martian placements. The brave ones are often gentle souls who feel like inaction is more dangerous than making a move. But sometimes they act not because they were so ready and unafraid, but because they looked around, saw nobody do anything, and debated obsessively if they should or shouldn't, until they sort of catch themselves by surprise by just getting up and doing it without a plan. That's not for nothing. That's because sometimes, surprising even themselves is the only way to get the courage to do what they must.
3. That every transit in the sky and every moon phase is gonna change your whole life and start/end a chapter in your life.
Let's be for real. We're not THAT special. And I'll say it for the billionth time: CHECK YOUR ENTIRE CHART. Not every transit will even activate anything in your chart. Your individual chart might even "fight against" a particular transit.
You could have an intercepted house exactly in the sign a particular planet will be transiting. Or you could have Saturn making an aspect in your chart that's literally a mountain between whatever's going on in the sky for a transit. You could have a stellium that's gonna bend and warp the effects of something on your chart. The possibilities are endless.
That is why astrology can describe trillions of people with just 12 signs and 10 planets. Because the combinations and manifestations are endless and unique.
Portal this, portal that, moon phase this, Mercury retrograde that, CAREFUL WITH PLUTO IN AQUARIUS 🤪... chill. Put down the Astrology TikTok video, and go look at your chart. See if it'll even be doing something to you or not.
Depending on if you use Placidus, a planet changing signs won't even leave a house in your chart. It will be in the exact same house it was, just in a different sign. So apply astrology individually.
4. That we should excuse certain placements' pattern of behavior because of how much "harder on themselves" they are.
That's not my problem. That's not anybody's problem but their own.
I don't care if you are Saturn ruled. I don't care if you have deep self-image wounds because you got this and that conjunct your rising. I don't care if your inner critic is harsh too.
Astrology is not Coddle-Me-This, Coddle-Me-That.
If you are an adult, then act like one. We all got wounds.
I have 200% sympathy and empathy for people's struggles, but having compassion and excusing abusive behavior are completely different things. You can't ever be truly compassionate to others if you abandon yourself. And letting someone else walk all over your mental health and emotional well-being when you don't deserve it, just because supposedly their rising sign means they're a raging bitch to themselves too is abandoning yourself. A boat full of holes cannot save anybody from a flood.
So hold understanding and compassion for people with challenging placements, sure do! But also know when to say enough is enough. Their patterns may not be their fault, but they ARE their responsibility.
Nobody has to listen to biting criticism 24/7 just because the other person got so and so Sun sign, but oh "they are even harder on themselves".
Is that so? Then they should focus on being harder on themselves and leave everybody else alone, if it seems like they're not interested in healing their struggles.
Fear of betrayal is not an excuse to intimidate and manipulate others.
Unreliability is not acceptable within a supposedly committed relationship, no matter the Venus sign. If you agreed on a relationship, then honor it. Respect your partner's emotional well-being. Break up if you don't want commitment. Nobody has to be jumping through hoops to keep you "interested".

PS: Even with harsh placements in synastry – you have to look at your individual chart + their individual chart + the synastry between your charts. A sun/moon opposition, for example, can affect differently depending on the people involved. Some harsh aspects in synastry are necessary and good for growth of the relationship, but the general energy between the couple is what's gonna determine whether it will be helpful or detrimental. Just like positive aspects might not be enough to remedy an over all bad compatibility.
My point was just not to romanticize harsh aspects in synastry when they truly do not promise romance, but rather challenges and disagreements. But the entire synastry matters together as a whole.
