Hello all and welcome to your home for High Republic Appreciation Week!

My name is Mik (main: @bikananjarrus), your organizer for this event <3

This event is to celebrate everything we love about the High Republic! It will take place in June, leading up to the release of the final High Republic book, Trials of the Jedi by Charles Soule, on Tuesday June 17, 2025. 

All types of creation (fanfic, art, edits, playlists, gifs, anything you can think of) and ALL fans of the High Republic are welcome! Whether you’ve read one High Republic book, or everything in between, you are welcome here! 

Disclaimer: this blog and the upcoming event is a safe space. There will be NO tolerance of bigotry - racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of hate are not allowed.

Additionally, this is meant to be a FUN event showing our appreciation for Project Luminous! I ask that everyone be kind and respectful towards each other and to each other's creative works. If there is a character, ship, etc. that you do not like, please keep your negative comments to yourself. Again, this event is just for fun and to show our appreciation! That means showing positivity and appreciation for our own work and each other’s. We are all the Republic, after all 💛

Thank you all SO SO much for sharing all your wonderful creations this past week! It’s been amazing seeing all the different, creative ways you all have shown love for the high republic, and I can’t think of a better way to mark the end of this era!

My favourite “citizen” of the republic is Plinka, Xylan Graf’s dog who enjoys tricking people into thinking she’s a chair.

The reason he was no longer in the Occlusion Zone, as well as the reason he’d been there in the first place and why he’d been in corporate espionage–really, the driving force behind most of his life for the better part of the past two and a half years–came waltzing in the door, and paused to greet Plinka affectionately and check on her almost-healed neck. That done, Xylan draped himself across a chair and announced, “Your dear uncles get more charming by the day, husband.” “Do not,” Cair said firmly, startled out of his musings, “give them any reason to dislike you more than they already do. They disapprove of my life choices enough without your help.” Xylan pouted. “But I’m so charming.” Cair gave him a flat look. Xylan’s expression turned to a smug-cat smirk. He hated that he still found it endearing. Or: Safe on Coruscant, as the dust settles, Cair and Xylan have to actually figure out where to go from here.

People. Probably some good, some bad, but for the next few days, her people. She loved these runs. No matter what eventually happened in the lives of these folks, they were heading to the Rim to make their dreams come true. She was part of that, and it made her feel good.

"You can do it, old gal. We're a couple of cranky old ladies and that's for sure, but we've both got a lot of life left to live. I've taken damn good care of you, and you know it. I won't let you down if you won't let me down." Hedda did not fail her ship. It failed her.

i wanted to honor hedda casset as the very first character we meet in this era. i still don't know how charles soule managed to make me fall in love with a character so fast, only to have me crying, absolutely shocked and crushed by her death a few pages later. but what a worthy death it was! hedda is a true hero of the republic.

Day 6 - We Are All the Republic

A day for celebrating the citizens of the Republic! Highlighting characters who aren't affiliated with the Jedi or the main villains (i.e. they don't exactly have to be a good guy, but this isn't a day for big bads like Marchion Ro.) Today is for the chancellors and royalty; pilots and officers; engineers, inventors, and scientists; all the every day people and their accomplishments that make up the Republic.
