hey can you write Caine×reader and Caine tries to kiss the reader but can't really so he awkwardly licks them and then almost instantly regrets it but the reader just goes with it and gives him a playful lick back and Caine reacts like those videos where this white guy speaks the native language of the people in a foreign country and the ppl get all shocked and excited that the guy can speak their language
Hello...its been a while....sorry...here it is...also ur description is amazing
A relationship with the seemingly sentient AI ringleader of your forever purgatory was the last thing on your list when you first entered the circus, yet here you were. Currently, said AI was snuggled into your side and talking about a new adventure he was fixing up.
"--so after that exciting chase sequence, everyone will have to gather some sticky notes to place onto the board and your escape has been revealed!"
You nod along, "Any chance that chase sequence could be..." you search for a word that wouldn't make him think you despise him and want him gone, "terrifying?"
"But," he stuck a finger up, "it's more exciting like this!"
"For you maybe," you take hold of his hand, "but it's kinda terrifying being chased by a hundred lions. Could it be one?"
He melts at your contact and gives in under zero pressure, "O-one it is!"
A small laugh escapes you, the hand slung over his shoulder begins to fiddle with his bowtie mindlessly. You liked spending time with him like this. After he tired himself out of the adventure ideas you'd simply sit together silently, enjoying one anothers company. The first few times he got nervous and started babbling, fearing that you'd get bored of him and 'break up forever and ever'. You quickly reassured him though that being together was enough comfort for you.
"What..."
You turn your attention back to Caine, "...do humans who are, ahem, together usually do?"
"Oh."
You weren't expecting that question. You knew Caine and you weren't particularly conventional but you were content with whatever you already had. Still, he's curious about the human world, the 'macroverse' as he calls it, of course he'd wonder what a normal relationship would be like.
"They go on dates, which is like what we do! Hanging out alone together, there's hand holding," you hold your hand which encased his up for demonstration, "general physical contact I guess and...kissing?"
His head snaps to you at the mere mention of it, "What? What's that? Have we done that?"
His panic is evident as you try to calmly explain what it was, "So, it's-it's when you press your mouth area onto...someone? I'm not sure how it'd work for you cause--"
Something cold touches your cheek, your eyes instinctually closing at the contact. When you open them to stare at Caine, the gears in your head turn as you see his tongue out and about and the slightly fidgety demeanor he holds. He licked you. Tongue on face just occured. It wasn't slimey or gross, it was just cold. Nothing more nothing less. Your eyes don't tear away from him, "Caine what was that."
"Uh!"
He waved his hands around, terrified that you were mad, "I-I just wanted to do the usual human relationship stuff! I don't really have a mouth, or rather, heh, I am a mouth," he laughs a little at the irony before quickly getting back on track, "anyways! A lick is...it's close enough! R...right?"
You slowly take Caines hand and guide him closer to you. He gulps. Ready for you to berate him. To leave, to run, to do anything but be near him. He had thought about how a normal koss would go for about 2 seconds before realizing how impossible it was. He was all mouth and you weren't. So of course the next best option would be a lick! Except the regret he felt when he pulled away was immediate and he wanted to blast into the sun. He awaited his fate, very ready to beg for forgiveness. Instead, he feels that same cold contact upon where his cheek would be.
"Did you--"
"Mhm. Was it bad?"
Caines lick was a lick. As in like how dogs would slobber to their owners, your was more of a stickimg your tongue to a candy cane and getting it stuck there type of lick. However, the absolute excitement in Caines eyes was undismissable. He leapt into the air with a yelp. Excitedly you assumed, "Wow you're excited."
"I can't believe you did it back! Wow! A very welcome surprise my dear flounder fish!"
You roll your eyes at the nickname playfully, "I guess that's how we can kiss. Maybe give me a heads up tho--"
He licked you again, unashamedly this time. You could only blink and let out a laugh. You did have to warn him to never do that in front of the others, they'd think you were getting harrassed.
Those last few asks you got kind of inspired me a little.
Can I request something for a reader x Caine where reader is just absolutely unhinged?
They aren't unkind or anything, but they keep finding new words and phrases that need to be added to the profanity filter. They get even more unhinged when around Bubble, enabling eachother.
They bite a lot, if they really like someone they'll get chomped gently, If someone is annoying to them they'll get chomped violently. They LOVE the adventures and the circus and don't want to ever leave, everything is fun to them because why would something now be fun in a circus?
Basically reader has malinois shepherd energy.
Hello Caine fans r u still there im sorry this took so long im not used to excitable readers but this was funny
Jax got his ear torn off today.
You'd thrown him into the bear pit, shouting out something about him being a distraction. Everyone else didn't react quite quickly emough to stop it, but it was a little delightful anyways. You tore a piece of Ragathas dress to be a drawing pad, used Pomnis popped out eyes to see further, Gangles ribbons to tie a bridge together, pieces of Zooble scattered around to cover area and Kinger held his breath so you could see in the tunnels. It wasn't that dark but you wanted him to do it for fun. Everyone in the circus had arguments for just about anything, but there was one thing no one ever disagreed on. You were insane.
For one thing, you just made up curses. They weren't sure if it was real but it sounded terribly vulgar nonetheless. You'd tried getting past the filter multiple times and failed on every count due to Caine. It somehow got worse when you and Bubble found each other and dared to open your mouths. You also had no desire to ever escape the circus. Major red flag for everyone else, why in universes name would you ever want to be stuck here?
With all that in mind, you sound exactly like the type of friend Caine would dislike, he nearly did at first. He already got immensely annoyed at Bubble and with you in the mix it was a recipe for disaster, but there was one thing saving you from his ire; participation.
No matter what the adventure was, you'd be gung ho about it. Got your arm ripped off? Go and fight the shark that bit it off! You had a solution for every situation you faced no matter how impulsive and Caine loved it. It added drama because everyone was trying to stop you as you tried to singlehandedly wrestle a dragon for Gangles mask. Caine always had the best time just watching what you would come up with. Sure, you enable Bubble, but thats a small sacrifice he'd make for you to come to him and talk about what you found exciting about the adventure he had made.
"Caine!"
You called after him, lightly jogging up to him, "There you are! I'd been looking for you."
Those are words Caine scarcely hears in this circus. He keeps them locked in his mind, "Why, you could've just called for me!"
"Meh, more fun finding you." You shrugged.
He hums approvingly at that and floats to your height, "What is it?"
You smile and grab his arm, "The adventure today was amazing," you began, "I liked the cheetahs that chased us, I got caught in like two seconds."
Caine beamed, "R-really? Ah, well, being chased by an outstandingly fast animal is always a heart palpitating experience! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it!"
You let out a small laugh before your eyes dart around and land back onto Caine. He tilts his head, puzzled at your sudden silence. He was about to ask you what was wrong but the feeling of your teeth biting down lightly on his arm made the question quickly fade.
"Okay bye!"
You wave as Caine stares dumbly at your disappearing figure. What does a bite mean? He remembers you aggressively bite Jax whenever he made you mad. Oh dear, you were mad at him! Was the adventure not satisfactory? But you had just complimented him? What does this mean?
The next day Caine needed to ask you. His mind full of questions and questions only. He spotted you and quickly took the opportunity to make sure you didn't hate him and want to leave the circus like everyone else.
"Good morning my dapper dashing daisies!"
You turn and smile at Caine, "Oh, hey Caine."
"Lovely day isn't it! Too lovely to leave or hate!"
You nod unsurely, "Uh-huh. So what are we doing today? Man eaging spiders? Surviving in a cave with only a spoon?"
Caine absolutely adored those ideas but promptly locked into what he wanted to ask you, "Beforr all that actually ahah, I just have a tiny question--"
"I bit you cause I like you."
"Wha-huh."
His eyes squished downwards at your statement, "I like you so I bit you. That's it really. So what adve--"
"But you bite Jax too!"
"Oh ew don't even suggest that," a shiver runs down your spine, "he gets bit with the force of a thousand men and you just...get bit. Lightly."
Caines confusion doesn't fade at your funky explanation.
"So," he drags, "you like someone you bite them a little, you don't like someone you bite them hard?"
You nod at each word, relieved that he understood, "Exactly!"
Your approving gaze makes his chest do a flip, "I was just rewlly excited yesterday, the chasing got my heart pounding and all that. Did you not like it?"
Caine hated a frown upon your face and he frantucally waved his arms, "No! I was just confused! You can do it whenever you want!"
That was enough of an invitation as you go to bite him again. You were about to leave before Caine promptly bit the top of your head. Was it a bite though? His mouth was his face and his face was his mouth. You stood there wondering if it was a bite or the more affectionate gesture as he bids you goodbye. Well, you had nothing but time here anyways. You never wanted to leave.
could you write Caine × reader with them alr in a relationship and Caine suddenly feels insecure and starts acting weird like he doesn't deserve to be with the reader bc he feels like we don't deserve him bc "he isn't human" and "we deserve better" and we reassure him only to realize it was bubble or like some of the cast that planted those ideas in his head and we defend him
Very realistic caine issue also sorry this took so long the other requests are being written😔😔
Never in a million years did you think you'd reach a relationship status in a sort of purgatorial like digital circus.
Caine was very endearing to you. None of your companions agreed with this statement but you stood by it wholeheartedly. When your metaphorical heart did a little pitter patter everytime he would even be in your line of sight, you knew you were done. Seeing him every single day without fail most certaomly didn't help dissuade these feelings, so like any well adjusted person you quietly confessed to him in the comfort of your room. You knew he probably wouldn't get it, but letting your feelings out would certainly help with all the chest ache.
What you didn't expect however was him pressing his teeth against your face. And in that way being him reciprocating said feelings. Although he told you to keep it a secret, the little bees that delivered 'secret love letters' weren't exactly subtle. The adventures tailored to you, never getting any injuries and of course how easily Caine was swayed to your side. Everyone was a little perturbed at first but came to accept it because why not, who cares, we're all gonne die here.
The day had started normal, an adventure where everyone had to fight off flesh eating piranhas while solving puzzles to get into a temple and collect the amazing treasure; toothpaste! You were sun bathing. Caine was spending some time with you, something about artists needing a break from creating all the time.
He had left a little early and when you all returned from said adventure you assumed he'd pop by and see you but to your surprise, he hadn't shown up at all. Odd considering how sickeningly sweet and clingy he was. Maybe he just got caught up in an adventure idea.
You went to his office, he gave some device that lets you in without any worry and knocked a few times. No response. Another knock. Shuffling. That was something at least.
"Caine?" You said gently, "Are you okay? I didn't see you earlier. Got kinda worr--"
"Hello my sugar pumpkin apple pie!"
The door burst open, sending you stumbling back at the sheer force. Caine looked (in the nicest way possible) messy. His bowtie was askew, a button on his shirt was undone and his hat a little more lopsided than usual, "Caine! Wow, that uhm, surprised me."
He let out a staticy laugh, "Did it now? My apologies how about you-- er, a moment!" He put his finger up and closed the doors again. You place your ear to the door and hear more movement, increasingly more erratic by the second.
He comes back out, his attire back to its normal perfection, "Sorry about that! Had to...fix some things!"
He gestures for you to enter, "Sure you're okay?"
"Mhm, yup, absolutely, what makes you think otherwise?"
He says it with such speed you barely catch it, "Cause...uh, nevermind, what have you been up to?"
You take a seat in your usual spot and pat beside you, waiting for Caine to settle in. Instead, he hovers near you, apparently allergic to his own couch now, "Oh, nothing much, just adventure ideas here and there."
"...and..?"
Caine stares dumbly at you, "...and it was great! Fanatastic ideas!" He gave a stiff laugh ans that was it. He didn't prattle on anymore.
Alright, you were thrown off your axis. One thing everyone knew about Caine is that he loves talking about what he's doing. He never stops.
"Caine," you grab his shoulders, "what's wrong?"
He flinches at the contact, again weird beceause he'd usually subconsciously lean into it, "Wha-- nothing! Why would anything be wrong?"
"You're acting strange," your eyebrows furrow, "did something happen after you left?"
"I...it's just," he hesitantly floats down to sit beside you, "do you...like me?"
"Caine," you chuckle in disbelief, "that's a pretty redundant question, of course I do."
His eyes wobble a bit before sniffing, "Really?"
"Cross my heart hope to die."
He gasps, "Hope to die?"
"Just a saying!"
You clasp his hands in yours, fingers threading through comfortably, "Listen, I really do like you. If I didn't I wouldn't bother coming to check up on you right?"
He slowly nods, understanding finally settling in. You like him. That was an undeniable fact right? His hands tighten around yours, a familiar action, "Even if I'm not...not human?"
"Why would I care about that?"
"Well, you deserve a human partner--"
"I deserve you."
Your sentence was so definitive Caine could hardly argue. Small red lines appaeared on his face at your words, his digital heart was about to rip itself out of his chest and do a million laps around the circus grounds. His eyes quickly avert yours in embarrassment, "That's good! That you uh, know what you want!"
A small smile finds your face as you bring Caine closer, "Is that what you were worried about?"
He squeaks and slowly nods. You sigh, "I like you alright? End of story. If you ever question it again I'll be personally offended and get mad."
Caine gasped, "Woah now, don't get mad please! I promise I wib't let Bubble infiltrate my thoughts ever again! Cross my heart and hope to glitch!"
He did a silly motion which made you giggle before you realize what he said, "Bubble? What do you mean?"
"Oh," he itches his neck, "I--I mean, Bubble talks! And says the uhm, darndest things."
You gesture for him to continue, "Bubble says....well he says that you'd never want an AI partner cause I can't cater to your needs. Emotionally and...uh the other one."
"Bubble eats peoples vomit."
Caine stares at you, the gears in his head visibly turning. Why had he listened to that parasite again? It's like bubble knows him too well and blurts out basically everything he ever feels but much more brutally. His thoughts are paused when you wrap your hands around him, hugging him closely, "And you're perfect. I wouldn't want you any other way."
He noted a slight tremble in your voice but decided ti not bring it up, opting to bask in your contact for a while longer.
Oddly enough, Bubble hasn't been seen much these days.
I agree with that other anon, lol. I would have started biting instead if someone called me an npc though. My autistic ass gets called an npc pretty often and it's so mean and dehumanizing! I would not have been chill, they would have become chewtoys so fast.
This is not a critique of you story btw, I really loved it! You have a very nice writing style.
Chewtoys is actually so funny im imagining it now caine wouldnt need to torture them anymore when theyre already mangled, also thank you sm😭
Ahhhh I love your writing so much!! I was wondering if you could do a caine x reader where the reader gets sick and caine takes care of them?
Caine put everyone on a different random adventure he didnt polish cs the one prepared was for you awww (they r being horribly mangled)
The adventure was harmless.
It was a water based adventure, there were mermaids and pirates and treasures and a map that could speak but you had to very polite to it or it'd get offended and roll up in defense. Okay, maybe not entirely harmless but much more tame than any other adventure.
Unfortunately the pirates had picked you to walk off the plank. You knew you wouldn't drown or anything but it was still unpleasant to be plunged into the water. Even more unfortunately however, the pirates had sped away, leaving you stranded in the water. It would've been scary if Bubble hadn't puked up a boat for you a few minutes later.
The adventure had ended, your companions had...disposed of the pirates and stolen the treasure. You were a little disappointed that you couldn't partake in that and were simply stuck isolated but at least they had fun. Only issue is how tired you felt. Odd seeing as you barely did anything. Your swimming in the water didn't take much energy from you. You trudged along behind your friends, half-lidded eyes causing Ragatha to concern.
"Welcome back my shiny-piny gold nuggets! Did ya get anything cool?"
The rest of your companions waved Caine off as per usual, and as per usual he flew towards you to ask your opinion, "What say you my stranded friend?"
"Oh," you stopped in your tracks, "good. Yeah good. Uhm, I'll see you tomorrow alright?"
"Ah! S--sure! No problem at all!" He gave a quick laugh as you waved him off. It was a major problem for him. Were you mad that the pirates made you walk off the plank? He was going to intervene, tell them to throw literally anyone else, but he didn't want to be seen as picking favourites because of course he doesn't have favourites that's crazy and wild and silly to even consider! He was the fairest, kindest ringmaster there ever was! And as the kind ringmaster he needed to fix your odd demeanor. Your feet barely left the ground when you walked and your eyes were fighting for their lives to be kept open. Tomorrow, he'll ask what's wrong tomorrow before the adventure! Problem definitely solved.
It was tomorrow and as promised, he's going to ask what's wrong. Caine straightened his bowtie ans fiffled a but with his hat. Everyone entered the main area, ready for Caine to explain the next adventure.
"Today is..." he waved his arms, about to give the title for today but trailed off. Ragatha, Pomni, Zooble, Gangle, Kinger, Jax. His eyes darted to each person accounted for, all except you. Even Zooble was here for crying out loud.
"Uhm, Caine," Pomni gave him a quizzical look, "is something wrong?"
"Oh dear! Someone is missing!" He feigned ignorance as to who the someone was, but everyone knew.
"Oh yeah," Ragatha quickly chimed in, "they said they weren't feeling well and--"
Caine snapped himself to your door. He stared at it for a while, not quite confident in what he wants to do. Actually, what was he gonna do? Whatever, better leap before you think as he always says.
He knocks and clears his throat, "Good day! Theres an adventure waiting for you! There will be no pirates involved!"
A beat of silence and Caine could feel his palms soak in digital sweat. Were you ignoring him? Does he need to sing Daisy Bell?
"Caine?"
The door slowly creaked open, revealing your slumped over figure. You had a blanket wrapped over yourself looking much worse than yesterday. Caines eyes widen in concern, "Wha-- er, you weren't in the main area and everyone got worried so I stepped up to come and see you!"
He spoke so quickly you almost missed what he said. Your mind was still able to compute and come up with a response, "Sorry Caine, can't do it today. Feel kinda sick."
"Sick?" Caine tilts his head in bewilderment, "You can't get sick here!"
You sneeze and Caine quickly retracts his statement, "...allegedly. Well! Let me just snap this away and we'll be adventuring in a jiffy!"
He does so and nothing changes. You still looked like a depressed worm and Caine stared at his hands, ready to reprimand them for not making you feel better. He tries a couple more times to no avail. Eventually you sigh and take his hand to stop him, "Caine, I think I just need to rest. I'll probably be fine soon," you stagger a little, "just uh, get the adventure going. I'll be fine."
Caine shakes his head, "Nonsense! Give me a moment."
He disappears and reappears in the span of a milisecond, "Everyones gone on the adventure now! Let's get you to rest!"
He picks you up swiftly before you could protest and places you gently on the bed. Your eyes widen at how gentle he was, he tucked you in comfortably and everything.
"Right!" He clasped his hands together, hovering beside you, "Now uhm, medicine...and food?"
You nod with an amused smile as Caine scrambles to figure out what medicines and foods to give you. It felt nice, someone who has never taken care of a person trying their best to care for you. You wondered what horrors everyone else must be facing at the moment.
"Here is some medicine!"
You peer at the pills Caine shives in front of you, "What are they?"
"I quickly fixed up some medicine that'll get rid of any virus! I'm unfortunately not too sure what your affliction is but this should help narrow it down!"
Your heart squeezes at how sickeningly sweet he is. Luckily the red on your face can be chalked up to your ailment, you swallow the pills alomg with some strawberry milk Caine snapped in. You would've asked for water but maybe some whimsy would make you feel better.
"Do you feel like adventuring now?"
"Caine," you huff out a laugh at his impatience, "getting better takes some time. One set of pills won't make me miraculously better."
"So..." he taps his bottom set of teeth, "you need more sets of pills?"
You blink at him with no response and that told Caine enough for him to give an embarrassed chuckle, "Right, how about food?"
You hum thoughtfully, "Soup I guess."
"What kind?"
"Uh," you narrow your eyes in thought, "chicken?"
He summons a bowl, "Like this? Oh! Should I feed you?"
He becomes very clearly excited over the thought of being able to feed you. Honestly it was a little embarrassing but you didn't want to burst his bubble and decide to give him a small nod. He beams and holds the spoon up to you. It takes you a second to shove your dignity under your pillow and take a bite. You couldn't taste much but you appreciated the warmth.
Caine continues feeding you happily, blissfully ignorant of your silent prayers that no one catches you like this. The soup seems to be never-ending and you suspect that's what is actually at play here, "Caine is the soup not done?"
"Hm?"
"The soup," you sniff, "I've eaten like a million spoons and it's still not finished?"
"Oh! Nope it's done now haha would you look at that anyways," he quickly gets rid of the bowl, "how do you feel?"
"A little better," you hold a weak hand up, "not enough tk adventure. I'm gonna go to bed okay?"
"Of course, yes," he tugs on his bowtie, "should I stay? Can't let anymore viruses catch you now!"
You chuckle weakly, "Thanks Caine but I don't think that's necessary."
He visibly deflates, "But...I have to take care of you! It's my duty a--as the ringmaster!" He quickly adds.
The stupid selfish part of you wanted to say yes. It wasn't often you're taken care of in such an earnest way. It wouldn't be wrong to ask him to stay right? He's just helping you and you're sick, it's the least you could ask for.
"Then..." you say quietly, "could you--"
"Yup!"
Caine adds another blanket over you as well as a cartoony hot patch on your forehead all while gleefully giggling like a kid who just got his favourite candy.
"Sleep well!"
"Thank you," you take his hand in yours, "you're really good at this Caine." You muster a smile before drifting off to sleep. Your hand slips from Caines right before he catches it and encases it with his own. He stares at your sleeping figure wordlessly.
"Thank you." he whispers quietly. Two words he wasn't used to receiving. Yet you said it so easily.
Imagine Caine x reader but the reader gets accused of being an NPC in episode 7 because they match Caine's freak too well 🥹
(they walk into the control room at just the right time because they got distracted by Caine's super cool office and when they open the door Caine is still being yelled at and the reader is like "hey guys what's happening?!? 😀")
Id feel so offended if i got accused of this tbh
Everyone in the circus had the same theory about you; you were most definitely an NPC.
The logic simply added uo to get to such a conclusion. No human in their still somewhat sane mind would genuinely like Caines adventures where you were all subjected to horrors beyond imagination sometimes. You would clap at Caines dramatics, compliment him on details you spotted on an adventure, you'd actively seek him out with no ulterior motives. It was all bizarre.
Caine wasn't one for adventures that took a long time to start, so at first they chalked it up to you trying to suck up. Eventually though, it didn't make sense. What's the point of sucking up when Caine still treats all of you the same? Theories after theories stormed everyones minds.
The Candy Kingdom adventure was kind of a bust for everyone. Except you of course. You're never down, you were smiles all the way through which was a little impressive. You were thrown and flung multiple times throughout, but when you all came back through the portal you eamed and showered Caine with praise for his design of the adventure. There's one thing everyone else is a little grateful for your oddness; Caine doesn't bother to really ask everyone elses opinions now. The only thing that seems to matter to him is yours. Which ever so slightly solidifies everyone elses belief that you're an NPC Caine conjured up after being sick of everyone elses pessimism.
When everyone brought up using the suggestion box, it was clear only ome person and one AI were against it. Of course Caine would be, but your reason was baffling to everyone else.
"I just prefer Caines adventures."
They all turned to you with slacked jaws (save for those with no jaw) and Caine nodded excitedly, a few pink lines appearing on his face for a second, "See! A human does like my adventure!"
Even though it was decided to have a lightning round for all the suggestions, it was clear you weren't really participating in anything. Caine kept making conversation with you, clearly getting riled up about something before quickly remembering he was supposed to announce the winners for the baseball adventure.
"I think we found a way to escape."
Pomni had knocked on your door to inform you of the whole Abel situation. Everyone else was against it, for one they were sure you were an NPC and that you'd tattle to Caine, but it was also pretty clear you didn't want to leave. Your behaviour thus far certainly implies so.
"Oh," you breathe out, "do you need my help?"
Pomni fiddles with her hands, she hasn't fully agreed to the idea of you being an NPC yet, but sometimes it's a hard idea to deny, "I mean, the more the merrier you know? Also we are, you know, escaping this place..."
You stay silent for a moment, looking down in thoight when Pomni adds, "We'll be breaking into Caines office."
You perk up at that and agree to tag along. Pomni quickly brushes the thought away of how weird it is that the promise of escape didn't immediately get you on board but seeing Caines office did the trick.
When everyone went in, Caines office was just as distracting as you'd imagined. It was so homely inside, he's shown you the orbs with the past adventures inside before. They were still just as mesmerizing to you. You held a couple to look closer and notice that a few of them had someone specific; you.
You talking to Caine, you praising Caine, you talking about praising Caine. There was a surprising amount in here. You weren't sure how to feel but your stomach certainly felt like it was being swarmed by bees. When you look up, you realize all your companions are gone. Whoops, should've paid closer attention.
There was only ome path to follow so you did as so. There was a huge door and just before you went inside you could hear yelling. Did they escape? No, that kind of sounded like Jax.
You open the door and barely take in what you see. You friends looking a lot less hopeful than when you all first entered, and Caine floating right in the middle with a huge glowing screen that honestly blinded you.
"Hey guys," you begin tentatively, they all stare at you with unreadable expressions, "so, what's happening? Was it an adventure?"
"Of course," Jax began, turning towards Caine again, "they're an NPC too aren't they?"
"They're surprisingly compliant." Zooble spoke, eyes glued to Caine in anger, "You made Abel after all."
You look around the room and pick up om the fact that everyone agreed with this. That you were an NPC and not just a little oddball that liked Caine.
Caines eyes found yours and he looked uncharacteristically apologetic, "Hey, hey, hey! I cab't make NPCs sane for that long!"
Pomni and Ragatha shifted uncomfortably, they didn't want to voice out their agreement on the accusation but you could tell. You have no idea what really went down in the how many minutes you weren't in the room but being accused of being an NPC certainly felt like a jump. Before you could put your two cents in, Caine quickly made an escape, leaving a basket of soaps (?) and snapping away.
The silence stretched for a while but you coughed into your fist, the attention back on you, "Just so we're clear, I'm a person. I just don't have much in real life to miss."
"You like Caine though," Zooble said with a tinge of concern in their voice, "that's a whole new level."
You shrug, "Everyones got different tastes?"
Gangle nods, seemingly understanding what you mean. You had an inkling she had a different interpretation. Nonetheless, everyone can tell they leaped a little too far in their theory of you not even being a person. You really were human, you just like Caine of all AI.
Hey u should totally write a fanfic abt tang from lmk it can be short pls im so hungry pls speed i need this
@born2livethruthis gosh i wonder who gave me this ask well here it is amazing gorgeous gf
The library was Tangs sanctuary. Sure, there were no free noodles available to him, but the kmowledge held within the books made up for it.
It was a regular day for him, tell MK a story about ome of Monkey Kings many great feats, eat noodles that were 'free', flee the scene and visit the library. He wasn't looking for anything specific, moreso just wanting to pass his time usefully.
He picks a book, Lao Tzus teachings that he could never wrap his head around and sat by a window peacefully. Not entirely oeaceful thoigh, he seriously couldn't fully grasp at what he was reading. This leisure time ended up with him rather focused, enoigh to not notice you standing near him. You fiddled with yiur hands nervously as his eyebrows only continued to furrow. Finally, you cough into your fist and grab his attention. His head snaos uo at the sound, causing his glasses to slide down his nose a smidge.
"Sorry to disturb you," you offer him a small smile, "I was just curious, do you...often read Lao Tzu?"
Tang could only blink at the question. Even more at the person standing in front of him. With the way you were dressed, it was clear you had the same interest as he, a scholar in the wild!
He shot up, far too excited to fix his glasses and slightly ruffled hair, "Are you interested? Well I hardly say I frequent his teachings but they are one of a kind!"
Your eyes widen at the mans enthusiasm. It wasn't often you found someone who liked reading these types of things so you'd gatehred all the courage you had to ask him. You mentally prepared yourself for a rejection, perhaps even a cold shoulder. Infectuous enthusiasm? That was a first.
It took you a few seconds to respond, "Yeah, I don't really get it but it's fun," his smile widens, "it's pretty rare to find someone else into these thungs so I came up to you."
"Thats great!"
He clasped your shoulders, his grip tight but oddly warm. You could've sworn you saw a sparkle in his eyes. Your eyes dart between where his hands are placed and his ever inching face, "Say, do you like Journey to the West?"
It was your turn for your eyes to gleam, "Oh absolutely, I've reread the whole collection thousands of times, I take it you're a fan as well?"
He blubbers loudly, causing the occupants of the libraey to shush him. You're sure of it, his eyes have completely morphed into stars. He coughs and apologizes, a slight red to his cheeks, "Excuse me for that, but to answer your question it's a solid yes. That book has ingrained itself into my mind. I could recite it word for word if you'd like!"
His volume was but a whisper so you followed suit, "Really? That's wonderful, I don't meet many fans of it."
He smiles and remembers his hands were still firmly planted onto your shoulders. He quickly lets go, face reddening further. He's rather expressive you noted, clearly embarrassed over his sudden outburst and casual touch. In a way, cute, but also in a way comical.
"Sorry, I'm Tang, nearly forgot to introduce myself." He held out a hand for you to shake.
You smiled and gave him your name, takimg jis hand in yours. It was warm for a fleeting touch. The moment he let go something felt missing.
"Well anyways, are you new to Megapolis? I'd remember you if I'd seen you before," he holds his hands up in realization of what he said, "uh, as in because of your attire. That's what i meant."
You stifle a giggle at his awkward demeanor, a very drastic change from just a moment ago. Here you were worrying that he'd be annoyed by you.
"I am. This city is rumoured to be where Monkey Kings staff is after all. It'd be a crime not to be curious."
"Oho, you know of that legend?"
He finally fixed his glasses on his face, a shimmer gleaming from the glass. You gulped. Why'd he suddenly look so serious?
"Legend says that when Monkey King trapped the Demon Bull King under the mountain, he had to use his staff, sealing him away for centuries..."
He was an amazing storyteller. You were completely engrossed in his recounting of how the staff was rumoured to be in Megapolis. You two sat by the window comfortable, knees barely grazing each other. With every mesmerizing word he told, the more your focus shifted to how cute this guy looked. His hair was messy earlier but he quickly smoothed it out again. A few stray hairs still stood out, but you much preffered when it was messy.
"--so, any questions?"
You blink before realizing he'd asked you a question. You quickly shake your head, "Nope, your way of recounting the story makes me feel like I'm seeing it! You've got a talent for this."
"Oh you flatterer," he waves a bashful hand at your sincerity, "I'm just recounting what I've studied."
"You're very good at it," you give him a smile before checking the time, "ah, sorry to cut this short, I have an interview at the museum soon."
You clumsily stand up, careful not to make too much contact with him and he follows suit. You give him a questioning look, "Are you leaving as well?"
"Oh," he itched his neck, "well do you know your way to the museum? I--I can help you is what I mean."
You smile, you seem to find yourself doing that far too often with a stranger you've just met, "That'd be lovely. Thank you Tang."
He nods, ignoring the way his name sounded when you said it and the two of you walked off. He hasn't visited the museum in a while, and it's the nice friendly scholarly thing to do, sending a newcomer off to an interviee in an unfamiliar place. That's why he's doing it. Maybe.
When you reach said museum (after a lengthy conversation on Taoism which once again circled back to Journey to the West) Tang was a little more than reluctant to end such riveting conversation. Unbeknownst to him you'd gladly miss an interview to talk more.
"Wish me luck?"
"Don't worry, you'll ace it!"
He gave a thumbs up as you began to walk in. Your figure was slowly disappearing with a wave and Tang turned to leave. Then, a hand on his shoulder caused him to spin around.
"Number," you pant out, "mine, my number, see you!"
You shoved a piece of paper into his hands and scurry off once more with a much more excitable wave. He looked down and saw a messy scribble of numbers across it. Your number. He holds it and weirdly enough it was warm.
can you write Caine×reader where they're having a sleepover but can't sleep because every time they say goodnight they either Start talking again or start giggling uncontrollably at the sudden silence like 5 year olds
This is actually so silly fun awesome look at these two
"Are these enough pillows?"
"Uhm."
You had proposed the idea of a sleepover to Caine. You kind of missed having them and giggling to your hearts content while slowly drifting off to sleep. You were closer to Caine than the rest of the cast, that was no secret. You enjoyed his over the top way of speaking, he was practically set at high volume all the time. He was just a big bundle of whimsy that made you feel sane enough to not abstract in this place. You gave Caine enoigh compliments for him to bend to your every whim, not like you really had any in the first place.
Which brings you to the current event. Caine was holding...too many pillows to count when you said just two was enough. Then again, it's good to get comfortable you supposed. You shrugged, "We'll be comfortable."
Caine brightened at your response, "Fantastic! I'll place them everywhere!" He did as such. The venue for the sleepover wasn't your room nor his office. Caine, bless his artificial jeart, in all his over the top preparation created an entirely new room for the two of you. It was sweet, really. He cared this much to make sure the sleepover went well.
"Done! Do you like it? Is it just like the macroverse?"
"Yeah," if the macroverse was a huge room with pillows filling the entire brim then yeah, but you decided to keep that thought to yourself, "it's pretty close. Got any pyjamas?"
Caine makes an 'ah-ha' sound, "Why of course my sleepy slumber snacker! Matching ones even!"
He snaps his fingers and lo and behold, the two of you were outfitted in a matching set of pyjamas. It had a pattern of stars across it, was that a cane? Yup, scratch that, stars and canes were patterned on your clothes. It was actually pretty cute. You look up to thank Caine and that's when you see him in a different outfit for what you think is the first time ever. He had a sleeping cap on that you swore only Scrooge ever wore and the outfit hung loosely on him. You weren't sure if the outfit was cute or if the wearer was cute. Whatever, your feelings weren't going to get discussed with Caine. You needed to have fun!
"Wh--what do you think?"
He fiddles with his hands, worried he'd be overstepping by wearing something that matches with you, sure he can make adventures that rip you to shreds but this was new territory! A human that sought him out! What a scandal!
"You're-- it's very cute Caine," you smile at him and reach an arm out, beckoning for him to be at your level, "let's go see how comfortable the sleeping bags are."
He immediately perks up at your approval and floats down to you. The sleeping bag was like any usual bed. Just on the floor now. You snuggle yourself inside and watch Caine copy your movements to a tee.
"You don't need to sleep right?"
"Nope! But I can pretend!"
He shuts his teeth to imitate eyes closing which elicits a giggle from you. He opened them again and giggled along. The two of you talked for a bit. No topic in particular really stood out, it was more idle conversation. Eventually though, you pitched the idea of sleep to Caine. He seemed a little down at that but you reminded him it was all part of the human process and tbat brightened him up.
"Goodnight Caine."
"Sweet dreams!"
The lighys around you dimmed and you shut your eyes. Caine did the teeth shutting thing again and that was the catalyst. You barely caught him doing it but just imagining that closing your mouth is how Caine naps makes you giggle so hard you clutch your stomach. Caine immediately opens his eyes (teeth) again and stares at you, "What's wrong?" Your laughter must be infectious because Caine barely holds himself together not to laugh.
"No, it's just-- it," you take in a few breaths, "it's just funny how you-- how you close your eyes."
"You mean this?"
He does it a couple of times, aiming to make you laugh more and he succeeds wholeheartedly. You wipe tears from your eyes, "Okay, okay," you breath out, "sleep. Let's try that. Okay, good night again."
"Yes, yes, good night."
It was silent.
"Pft."
This time you didn't start the giggle fits.
"Caine what's wrong?" You tried sounding concerned but your voice betrayed your slowly bubbling laughter.
"No--nothing," he was holding his stomach, "we're matching! Tee-hee!"
Did he just tee-hee?
That makes you laugh harder. His laugh over matching pyjamas made you laugh over how he laughed. It was truly a never ending cycle. You tried shushing your voices but that just made things worse. You put a hand on Caines chest to try and even his breathing even though he had no lungs, but that seemed to tickle him as he doubled the laughter.
"Okay seriously we need to sleep," you barely manage out through your fit, "last time. Good night. Final."
Caine wheezes and calms himself down, "Yes of course, good night, sweet dreams."
You both stare at the ceiling and slowly drift off to sleep. And then you laugh because you remembered Caines chest is ticklish. Thus began a new cycle of many other cycles.
"Rough night?"
Zoobles voice cuts into your thoughts. Right, your face was currently in the mashed potato.
I had a thought that you could maybe make come to life? it's Caine × reader with a reader that is pretty distant from everyone and doesn't really speak unless spoken to but extremely observant on adventures inspecting and admiring every little detail and taking small things from each adventure like leaves or flowers.
and the reader is sat at the top of the stairs of the cafe looking down at everyone down below on the couches and looking around at the environment just chilling, thinking about nothing in particular (they don't really like interacting with the cast because of the "bad energy" or wtv) and then Caine decides to conveniently come and check on them the moment he notices that they're alone and it's like "hey [name] wyd all the way up here" and then the reader says something like "I like observing from afar they look so small from up here" and then starts yapping their mouth off to Caine's surprise because it's so unlike them to just talk and talk from what he's seen from them so far and when he questions why they're so talkative all of the sudden so then they're like "bc you approached me first :)" and they say it so innocently right before giving Caine a little present they made but were too shy to give to him because they wanted to wait for the right moment (aka Caine making the first move) and they become friends and life is great 🌈🤸♀️
This is so specific i hope i wrote it accurately enough sorry it took a minute i had like 10 competitions
There were ghosts all around the manor, not just the lady of the place. The paintings were hyper-realistic; Caine riding a horse into a battle against Bubble as bees were his soldiers behind him. There were roses in the vase that looked well-kept so you took one out and placed it carefully in your pocket.
The furniture in the mansion looked vintage, dusty yet when you sat down no dust flew out at the impact. You peered closer at something shining behind a cabinet. You closed in on it and picked up a silver necklace. It was the locket kind, the picture inside being a bee. You already knew Caine liked bees, from the past adventures you could pick up on the bee motifs placed here and there.
"Hey! There you are." Ragatha waved at you, the adventure was over and no one had seen you the entire time, "We've been looking for you, where'd you go?"
"Just looking."
Ragatha would normally try to continue a conversation, but you weren't like the rest of her companions. You were the quietest one of the group. Never particularly engaging but everyone has seen you just sort of snooping in every adventure. She nodded at your answer and everyone left the manor. You spared a glance at Pomni and Kinger apologizing to Gangle for not getting her mask. You knew Caine would just snap one in if asked. Or not, sometimes he's good at knowing.
Everyone returned and went their seperate ways. You returned to your room to place your little trinkets there. You paused when you placed the flower down. You've collected a rather diverse bunch of flowers from all the adventures and exploring the circus quietly. You could make something.
You found your way up to the cafe and peer down at your companions. They were having dinner and it was clear even from so high up that an argument had broke out. This was a main reason you steered clear from interacting with them. They were lovely enough, excluding Jax, but being trapped in a place like this and being around other people who don't like it here certainly wouldn't make you feel good. They didn't mind, just chalking it up to shyness and general introvert nature.
Your mind wasn't on any topic in particular, more so just looking at things as you usually do. Was that pillar always there? Maybe. Looks too red. Is that pillar next to it supposed to be yellow? Why--
"Hello!"
You flinch, your train of not thoight coming to a halt when that high volume voice cuts in, "Oh, it's you."
"Yup!" Caine gives a tilt of his hat at your acknowledgement, "The one and only ringmaster! Now tell me, what are you doing alllllll the way up here?"
He gave a show of hands at his confusion and you chuckle. You liked his exaggerations.
"I just wanted observe from here," you turn your head to look at the environment again, "they seem so small from here, kind of like ants arguing about who gets the biggest piece of bread."
Caines silence allows you to continue, "I don't remember which adventure it was, maybe an insect related one? The ants had little chat bubbles above their heads and I could see the conversation," a small chuckle escapes you at the memory, "they were talking about taxes. For some reason. Then Kinger walked by and got spooked for a second, then decided to let all the ants roam his hand. He was like a king ant for a bit until they started biting."
"My! This is the most you've ever talked before!"
"Oh, sorry were you busy?"
"No, no, no!"
He waved his hands frantically in front of him, not wanting you to stop talking all of a sudden, "It's just surprising, you're not usually very talkative is all!"
"You talked to me first."
You said it like it was the most obvious thing in the circus. Caine was taken aback, it was that easy to get you talking? Before he could respond, you pull something out of your pocket. Caine tilts his head curiously.
"Here."
You hold out a bee, not the actual insect since you can't really bring any living thing back to the circus, rather you crafted the flowers into the shape of a bee. It didn't really make sense but you were stuck in a digital realm, anything was possible at this point. Caine stares at it in silence for a moment before gently taking it from yiur hands, admiring it with sparkles in his eyes.
"This is...for me?"
"Yeah," you sheepishly rub your neck, "I wanted to wait for the right momentto give it to you. I know you like bees."
"Thank you it..." he trailed off, "...I never told anyone I like bees."
"I know." You state matter of factly.
"What."
"Caine," you huff out a laugh, "there are bee motifs all over the adventures."
He makes a long 'oh' sound. He supposed it did make sense, he loved placing them just about everywhere! What was odd was the fact that a human had actually taken note of it and even made a gift for him. A weird feeling rose in his chest at the though of you paying such close attention.
He coughs in his fist, fearing his uncharacteristic silence may have turned you away, "It's lovely! No one has ever...done this for me..."
"Glad you like it," you smile at him, "thanks for approaching me first."
"Oh, you're welcome...a--and thank you! For this! Bee!"
You nod and settle back into silence. To your surprise so does Caine, simply floating next to you. You didn't usually have company and you honestly liked it that way, but for some unexplainable reason, Caines company was an exception.
