As Julian watched at the Hawthorne were overwhelmed with joy with the cake. The hybrid from another district suddenly felt he was out of place in this home. Turning towards Gale and his mother, he said with small smile. “Well thank you all for welcoming me to your home and the meal. But I should get back home and get ready for another day at the job.”

Gale was smiling at his siblings reactions to the cake, it caused his heart to swell at the very sight. He loved seeing htem so happy and excited. He turned to Julian, his smile fading when the male said he was leaving. "Are you sure? You can stay here if you want."

As soon as Julian finished his plate of food, he returned to the foyer and brought in the box with the cake he bought with Gale. “This is a treat from me and your brother. Enjoy.”

Gale smiled as Julian returned with the cake, the hunter smiled brightly at his siblings reactions to the sight of it. It was a rare treat for them and they were going wild and really excited.
