I Look Fine, But Deep Down I’m Drowning — And I’m Fighting Back...
Just a head full of dreams that feel too big for my current life.
People say, “You have to suffer first. Learn under someone. Be an apprentice. Accept reality.”
But every passing day makes me feel like I’m already behind.
I can’t even afford my basic needs.
But deep in my mind, I see myself being great.
I see myself giving to people, being a blessing, living with purpose.
I want to work. I want to build. I want to stop wasting time.
But there’s a heavy problem — I don’t know where to start.
Right now, pleasure feels like my only escape.
Masturbation gives me that quick peace, but afterwards?
I feel like I’m betraying my own destiny.
Like I’m slowing myself down.
But at the same time, it feels like my only relief from stress, anxiety, and endless thinking.
No money, no people to support me, no opportunities in sight.
My dreams are stuck in my head.
I want to stop these habits, but it’s hard.
Because after I do it, I feel calm.
But that calmness fades and turns into regret.
Sometimes, death feels like an option.
Not because I want to die, but because I’m tired of living like I’m dead inside.
But inside, I feel empty — flesh and bone, no mind, no soul.
I forget things seconds after seeing them.
It feels like nothing is working.
But then, there’s this small, quiet voice inside me that says:
“Relax. Your time will come. You’re rushing. Life is not a race.”
But fear talks back louder:
“What if my time never comes? What if I die waiting? What if it’s five more years of this? What if… it’s never?”
But I’ve Decided Something.
I may not have a clear plan.
I may not even have peace in my mind right now.
But I have this small power left — I can take small steps daily.
It’s not about huge wins.
It’s not about sudden breakthroughs.
It’s about reclaiming my mind, one small action at a time:
Reading a few pages daily, no matter how hard it feels.
Writing my thoughts down to clear my mind.
Doing one tiny thing that gets me closer to my dream.
Earning my pleasures by first doing productive actions.
Reminding myself that it’s not too late, unless I give up.
I don’t know when my time will come.
But I do know that if I keep moving, even slowly, it will come faster than standing still.
If you’re reading this and you feel the same — lost, empty, frustrated —
And even though we’re struggling now, our stories are not finished yet.
That means I still have a shot.
