She’s a presence fo sho .. I really do love the idea of militant/strategist and diplomat Nuru. Punk& politically charged of course. In my reworking of the story she’s also a sorceress, untrained and winging it♥️Her proficiencies in cosmology have a heavy hand in her magic, transmutational metaphysics 😁

Is it fair to say that even if Rapunzel had checked on Varian or at least sent people to do so, he probably would’ve still done what he did? He’s not a bad kid but he’s got a history of not thinking things through, had just lost his dad and blamed her so he wouldn’t have to admit it was his fault, plus he was still a teenager and we all know they can make stupid choices.

I think it would have, sure he has a history of not thinking things through but also consider the fact that this is a very intelligent 14 year old who was left to spiral for however long in a house with what is effectively his father’s corpse, entirely alone. I think that’d drive anyone a little crazy. As far as he knew, he was abandoned by the person he called a friend, his own king had essentially launched an attack on him before he even made a move. Despite all that we still see some SLIGHT hesitance during The Alchemist Returns, sure it’s short lived but that’s already harder all those previous events mentioned had happened. Sure I think he might have been angry regardless, but I doubt it would bring that about, especially when we consider the narrative importance of Varian’s villain arcs

Varian’s villain arc served as a lesson to Rapunzel during Cassandra’s villain arc that people *can* change, they *can* be saved. Rapunzel made the mistake of giving up on Varian rather quickly, we see that in The Alchemist Returns with her ‘I don’t even know what he is’ comment. Has Rapunzel reached out sooner, I think there would be a monumental difference
