Move | Kayda +
“Are you here to finish me off, sweetheart?”
Kayda snickered under her breath as her thumbs moved quickly over the joysticks to keep up with her mental game. If you had studied her long enough, you could make out the small speckles of bright gold that she allowed to show through in her eyes as she placed more focus in the video game than keeping her human form.
A local coffeehouse always had a neighborhood Xbox sitting in the back that had been donated. If Kayda wasn’t at the theater, she as definitely sitting criss-crossed in one of the bean bag chairs, allowing the glow of the TV to engross her features.
She’d come quickly upon the final boss that had taken her weeks to finally meet and instantly her fingers moved faster and her teeth clamped onto her lower lip in focus. That was until a large figure moved in front of the TV.
“W-What? Wait!” Kayda snapped loudly, throwing the controller onto her lap as she could no longer see what her character was doing but instead could hear the defeat music play behind the person. “What do you think you’re doing? It took me weeks to play up to the final boss! You-You can’t just get in someone’s way like that!”
