CUPIDISC (Water/Fairy)

CUPIDISC is the evolution of LUVDISC and it is based on Eros/Cupid, son of Aprhodite and living embodiment of love. They can often be found around BELLEFISH's castles

Its body is meant to resemble Cupid's bow and arrow as well as the angel wings of Cupid. Its body is also based on the Golden Angelfish.

Another link between Cupid and fish is based on how Cupid was often despicted riding a dolphin on murals and statues, but, due to artistic interpretatios on how a dolphin should look, more often than not it ended up looking like a fish rather than a dolphin

Kroelian RALTS, KIRLIA, GARDEVOIR, Mega GARDEVOIR, GALLADE & Mega GALLADE RALTS, KIRLIA, GARDEVOIR & Mega GARDEVOIR are Ghost/Psychic type GALLADE & Mega GALLADE are Ghost/Fighting type

RALTS is based on a Yurei, a traditional japanese ghost, they can be found wandering during the nights and when they found a person they like, they will start following them from afar, they can do this for hours, and even follow them home

KIRLIA is based on 2 Yokai, a mix of the Rokurokubi, the long necked female yokai and Taka-Onna, a yokai that could stretch her body to spy through windows, this pokemon likes to spy people it likes through their windows, stretching their necks to reach them if they are too high, some people say their necks cant stretch several stories high.

GARDEVOIR is based on the modern urban legend of Hachishakusama, the 8ft tall woman, it likes to follow people around, specially children which she protects and play with Mega GARDEVOIR is inspired in the RE8 character of Alcina Dimitrescu who is also partially inspired in the Hachishakusama legend, so it felt right, like gardevoir it also likes to follow and protect children, but it is more aggresive when it comes to protecting them, being able to stretch its fingers into long sharp claws

GALLADE is based on a mix of the Noppera-bō, a faceless yokai that likes to scare people, and the urban legend of slenderman, to mirror GARDEVOIR being based also in a modern urban legend Mega GALLADE is based on the Gashadokuro, a giant skeleton yokai, mostly to keep the theme of being really tall, it is even taller than Mega GARDEVOIR

STORMUR (Flying/Electric) the tiny bird pokemon

A solitary STORMUR is barely able to produce enough electricity to create sparks and crackling sounds, but when a large flock comes together, their energy combined is able to create giant thunderstorms wherever they go

STORMUR (Storm/Murmur) is similar to WISHIWASHI, a single small pokemon that merges with others to form a larger one, but insted of having the ability "Schooling" its ability is called "Murmuration"

It is of course based on a murmuration of birds, a large group of birds flying as a single mass, usually composed of Starlings, but other birds like robins and blackbirds can form murmurations

The solo form is based on the Yellowheaded Blackbird, one of the species known to form murmurations

Its murmuration form however is based on the Thunderbird from native american folklore. As its name suggest, the thunderbird is known for creating thunderstorms wherever it goes, with its wing producing the sound of thunder when they flap. Altough its name is "Thunderbird" many accounts of supposed sightings describe the creature looking very similar to prehistoric pterosaurs, with even some alleged photos of supposedly captured thunderbirds showing them like one, and that is why the murmuration form looks like a mix of bird and pterosaur.

Its shiny colors are based on Northwest Pacific art, in which Thunderbirds are a very recurring theme

Kroelian SHELLDER & BELLEFISH

This is the SHELLDER who bites the tail of Kroelian SLOWPOKE to make it evolve, and while the Kroelian SLOWPOKE line is based on the greek god Dionysus, Kroelian SHELLDER and its evolution are based in the greek godess Aphrodite

Kroelian SHELLDER (Water/Steel) It constantly produces foam that is full of minerals and metalic particles, it covers its own shell with this foam making it harder than steel, and shinier than gold.

SHELLDER is based on the Acanthocardia aculeata, also known as the Spiny Cockle

BELLEFISH (Water/Steel) It mixes sand and coral with tis metalic foam to create large structures that resemble palaces. Each of this palaces belong to a single BELLEFISH that can be often found sorrounded by SHELLDER, LUVDISC and CUPIDISC

BELLEFISH is based on Aphrodite and the greek myth of her birth, in which she was born from seafoam and was brought to land in a giant shell, something often represented in art, like paintings and sculptures, with shells being one of Aphrodite's most important symbols. The shell she wears on her "hair" is actually called a "Venus' comb" with venus being the roman name for Aphrodite. It is also based on the Venus Clams, a genus of Bivalbe named after the greek godess.

MERCUREON (Flying)

MERCUREON is a Flying type eevolution, based on Hermes, the herald of the greek gods. and protector of human heralds, travellers, thieves, merchants and orators.

Hermes is often represented wearing a winged helmet, winged sandals and carrying his Caduceus, a winged staff with two coiled serpents,so all of this elements are present on MERCUREON

The name MERCUREON comes from "Mercury", the name Romans used to call Hermes.

WASPEON (Bug)

WASPEON is a bug type eeveelution, and its based on wasps and bees. I dont really have much to say about this one, it's pretty straightforward, but here are the wasps I used as refrence for their color palettes.

CONCEEL (Water), CHARMEEL (Water/Dragon) & THALASYDRA (Water/Dragon)

CONCEEL (Conceal/Eel) They create burrows in the sand where they spent most of their lives. They are small so they rely on numbers for protection, making their homes close to other members of their species, creating large gardens. It is based on garden eels.

CHARMEEL (Charming/Eel) They create a protective shell from sand, rock and coral, strong enough to protect them from predators, but light enough to carry around, using their strong tail to propel them, they usually nest close to other members of their species, with their shells so close to each other that it might look like a natural coral reef. It is based on Moray Eels and snake charming

THALASYDRA (Thalassofobia/Hydra) It is beleived THALASYDRA evolves when a group of CHARMEELS put their shells so close to each other they begin to merge. Despite being different individuals they behave as a single creature and if one of the individuals leave the nest, a new one soon takes its place, almost as if it has "regrown" it. It is based on the Fangtooth moray eel and the Lernean Hydra from Greek mythology

Just to clarify, this fakemon was made way before nintendo reaveled Wigglet and Wugtrio

Kroelian FENNEKIN (Dark), BRAIXEN (Dark) & DELZORRO (Dark/Fighting)

They are based on "El Zorro" and they use their twigs as swords instead of wands

Bug/Steel type gold filigree pokemon (No official names yet)

Originally the last evolution was an adoptable but nobody purchased it so I turned it into a whole line. When I posted them on twitter originally I made this pic with all the references.

First stage is based on a Golden Tortoise Beetle First evolution is based on a mix of the Urodidae Moth Cocoon and the Rising Cross Fabergé Egg Last evolution is based on the Azalea Lace Bug

WULFARAN, LYCARALA & WIDOWOLF (Ice/Bug)

They are literal wolf spiders and their colors are inspired in timberwolves

PARADORN & PARADORNMENT (Water/Poison)

They are convergent evolutions of PARAS & PARASECT based on Decorator Crabs, more specifically the Corallimorph Decorator Crab

By covering their bodies with poisonous sea life they absorb their toxins into themselves, becoming venomous as well, hence their "poison" typing
